Working Mid Century Modern/Walnut Tube Stereo Console. This is a high quality console made in Benton Harbor, MI. The unit is fully functional, still playing music today. Obviously the tube amp will need to be gone through and it will need new tubes but it’s a fantastic candidate for restoration. All of the accessories are included and look in open box condition. The gold feet and owners manual is included. There is an avid fan base for these units and all parts are still available today. Just Google Voice of Music to find their webpage. The walnut veneer is in very good condition and the unit can be refinished with no problem. Does not need to be re-veneered. I bought this locally in Detroit with plans of restoring/updating with Bluetooth and putting in my living room but just don’t have the time. Pilot Model PT-1028 1958. Hi, Jimmy O here… Thanks for stopping by to see my latest restoration. Here’s a fabulous and rare 1958 Pilot High Fidelity console! What an amazing player; Pilot spared no expense in the quality and workmanship that went into every detail of this beautiful machine… It was a real pleasure to bring this player back to life, and it now looks, perhaps, even nicer than it did new! Check out the video below for a small sample of what this Pilot sounds like! This player is just so cool looking, with it’s striking vintage black and white cabinet, silver and black grill cloth, and gold tapered legs. The entire cabinet was recovered with vintage style coverings, the exact same kind used back in the day… See close ups of the wonderful quality and texture of the covering! Pilot has always been well known for their powerful and beautiful sounding tube amplifiers, and this model is equipped with their absolute best. Sporting three 12AX7 tubes, dual EL84 outputs, and a 6CA4 rectifier… All the tubes are original 1950′s Telefunken and Mullard, and all tested super strong!! The amplifier has all new capacitors and resistors, along with a new power cord and added fuse. See photo of the many components that were replaced in this amplifier! The automatic 4 speed Garrard record changer is also fantastic, with it’s awesome 50′s accents, control knobs, and beautiful original beige paint! The record changer, control panel and knobs are in such fine condition, it looks as though this console was hardly ever used! The tonearm has the famous GE VR2 cartridge, one of the best cartridges ever made. I installed a brand new stylus, so you can play both stereo or mono LP’s on this… It’s a dual stylus, so you can flip it over, and play 78 records too! This is an automatic changer, and also a manual changer, so you can stack records, and each one will play in turn, and the changer will shut off after the last record has played, or leave it in manual to control shutting it off yourself. Comes with a convenient Garrard 45 adapter, which allows you to stack and play multiple 45 records automatically! Sorry about the sideways video, I’m trying to figure out how to straighten it! This has a nice large three way speaker system… A 12 woofer, a mid range and a tweeter… I replaced both crossover capacitors with Dayton caps for a tighter response. Want to play records at night? This has a cool pilot light that gives a beautiful warm glow in the record changer area, and doubles as a front pilot light via the small red lens in the speaker grill cloth… A nice bonus feature are the external speaker outputs, and additional inputs you can choose from in the back of the console; Designated for Phono, an additional Tuner, or Tape! You can run a CD player, ipod or smartphone through the tape input, and listen to your music in full glorious High Fidelity! Cute turquoise blue Motorola tube amp radio! There are two spots on the top that look like burns and a crack near the back. The sides and bottom are in great shape. The second-hand is bent. All knobs twist as they should. There is a chip in the blue plastic edge of the tuner between the “8″ and “10″. This radio needs a detailed cleaning. There is static/white noise after the tubes warm up for under a minute and then silence. The clock does not seem to move. 11.25 inches long. 5.75 inches high. 5.75 inches deep, with knobs. Dual Speaker Hi-Fidelity 1957 Just when I thought I’d seen the best in vintage HiFi’s, along comes this fabulous 1957 Silvertone! This has been completely restored, and looks and sounds simply fantastic: with it’s cool lines, and well thought out design, this HiFi optimizes the classic stylings of the 1950′s. Here it is playing an LP by the Ray Ellis Orchestra! This HiFi was lovingly restored: The cabinet has been recovered in a fantastic 50′s red, black and white, along with new speaker grill cloth in the front. The 4 speed Syntronic record changer has been completely taken apart and redone… This will play LP’s, 78′s and 45′s automatically, you can stack the records, and each one will drop in turn, and shut off when the last record is played! The powerful 6 tube amplifier has also been rebuilt, with all new components: new power cord, all new capacitors and resistors, and gold plated rca ipod input. Has On/Off Volume, Bass, Treble Radio/Phono and Tuning controls on top. A nice added bonus is the additional RCA hookup jack in the back, which makes it possible to listen to your ipod, or other external devise through the amp and speakers! The cool looking danish modern legs unscrew, in case you want to use this on a table top. Excellent condition all around, with only a couple small dings in the Dual Speaker face plate, and a little wear to the metal changer… What a fabulous vintage Silvertone; originally built, and proudly restored in the USA! 1958 Hi-Fidelity Record Player Here’s a beautiful and fun Magnavox Hi-Fi from 1958! This unit was one of the top of the line players from the 1950′s; It’s styling and sound simply can’t be beat… This was completely restored, and looks just fabulous with it’s newly re-covered blue and white cabinet and gold legs. Has a beautiful 4 speed automatic VM record changer, with auto-45 adapter included! You can stack LP’s on this, 45′s too! And each will play in turn, and the unit will shut off automatically when the last record has played. Excellent dual speaker system, and topped off with a powerful three tube amplifier! Both the record changer and amplifier were completely restored. The amplifier has all new components, including all new resistors and capacitors, along with a new 12′ power cord. Strong vintage Magnavox black plate 50EH5 output tubes make this beauty really sound amazing! The changer has a new stereo cartridge and flip over Diamond/Saphire stylus for playing 33′s or 45′s. BELL INTEGRATED TUBE AMPLIFIER MODEL 2440. Vintage Bell tube amplifier, probably from the 50s/ 60s, model 2440. I think these were made in Columbus Ohio. Says 14 wattsbut an ebayer told me it was 40 watts which makes mo9re seense, maybe it consumes 14 not sure. When you pull out the volume knob it powers up and the Bell in the middle lights up red! I hooked two speakers up and tested the aux output with a cd player, it work OK. Other outputs work too. Sounds like a tube amp should. It has switched plugs in the back that are ungrounded, I see a chip out of one of the female plugs as shown. Other then that everything seems to work OK. This has been in storage since the 60s from college. This amp weighs in at 25 lbs. All items are Antique, Vintage or Retro. Items will be added weekly, so check back.
