The pair of amplifier are all original except speaker terminals and RCA inputs to connect to preamp. These are the most common required upgrades. The amplifier is very good condition for it age, some scratches and rust on transformer. The amplifier is perfect working, very sweet sounding. All tube checked good on my TV7 D/U tube tester. This is the Vintage 1980 Fender USA Vibrolux Reverb Electric Guitar Tube Amplifier. This is the Silverface model- final year of production- the pots, transformers, and chassis code date to 1980. The red plug is a giveaway for 1980 as well. The Vibrolux features the best of everything’Fender’- all tube design, warm tremolo, and true spring reverb. Dual 6L6′s, 4 12ax7′s, 2 12at7′s, and a 5u4. This brings you those infamous Fender cleans and’pushed’ tube tones at 40 watts. Plugging into this beauty and turning up you immediately get the tight bottom and sweet highs the Fender tube amps are known for. Turn up towards’5′ and you start to dial in the sweet pushed tube overdrive. Engage the Boost circuit (via front panel or footswitch) and come out front for leads. Set the reverb down at about’2′ and it adds nice depth to chords and great tails to leads, bring it up and you get that famous’tunnel’ sound. The tremolo here is warm and tight- beautiful. All of this great tube tone runs to the dual Fender Design 10 speakers. 10 are the perfect compliment to this amp- they retain the bottom end while allowing for great clarity. I want to go ahead and get this item listed so please stay tuned for updates but I feel like these pictures give a better survey of any cosmetic issues better than I could describe them! There’s nothing like a vintage fender, and this is a gorgeous amp with a badass well-loved vintage look. The amp comes with the original stand in its bag, and was modded by the guitar shop that I got it from to have a modern, clean three prong power plug. There’s only two issues I’m aware of with this amp. One, there’s a little bit of debris in the reverb, which I understand is common, that can make a little rattling sound when you walk near the amp on a floor that bucks, although some people (like me) LOVE that sound as it sounds wet and surfy. Also, turning the reverb all the way up and leaving it alone without playing anything Can cause a ringing sound like feedback, and I have been told that cleaning out the reverb in the first issue should fix that too. Personally it’s never been an issue for me. If there’s anything else to know about these amps is if you have any trouble just peek around back and make sure all the tubes are seated. This amp sounds amazing but I moved into a smaller place and I can’t turn this thing up above a 2 as much as I might want to so it’s time for me to pair down.
