There is a low frequency hum but not super noticeable. If using for recording, you may want to have it looked at….. If using it live, I would leave it be. This amp is in clean condition and has all of its tubes. It is missing the on/off lamp (see closeup). It does not power on. Vintage 1950s Premier 76 Amplifier Guitar Harmonica Made In USA. Amp has been tested and is working. The amp sounds great. It is an older amp with an ungrounded, two prong plug so there is a bit of hum. Its nothing terrible except when the tremolo is on. The tremolo does work, it passes an effected signal and responds to the foot switch but when it is on the hum increases and also is clearly impacted by the tremolo effect. Some cosmetic wear as to be expected of something this age. All sales are final. This is the Sound you’ve been looking for! Very Good Vintage Condition & Sounds Great. 1958 Premier 76 USA Guitar/Harmonic/Mic Suitcase Amp. Needs Handle, But Works Perfectly. Here’s The Run Down. This is a Very Cool Premier 76 All Tube Suitcase Amp. That would surprise you for sure, if you’ve never played through one. It’s in good shape overall for a 60 year old amp and is mostly original from what I can see. The original Jensen Speaker sounds great, has very good clean tones and breaks up beautifully when cranked up on all inputs. It seems all inputs put out a very similar volume. This amp has been used by me and operates/sounds exactly as it should. It appears to have an input for a tremolo foot switch, but I have never had one and will not be included. The tremolo works perfectly (foot switch not needed to operate). It has a makeshift handle that works, but a nicer one should be in order. I can see a few changed screws here and there, a 3 prong power cord, but otherwise nothing else obviously changed. There will be marks scuffs, wear and tear as well as other flaws since it is vintage, but no abuse, just use & age. It is in the cosmetic condition shown, so be sure to see all of the pics (see pics). I tried to take really good pics, so you can judge for yourself (see pics).
