1998 Marshall 1987X MKII 50-Watt Plexi Guitar Amplifier in excellent overall condition. This Made in England plexi is built to last forever and it works perfectly with zero issues. It was recently serviced and sounds outstanding! It has a few very tasteful mods that were professionally done, including a PPMIV Master Volume, an optional push/pull Bright Cap mod on the Lead Volume, a common ground bus, and new main power tubes. Everything else is all original. The PPMIV Master Volume is located where the Presence knob normally is and allows for ultra high gain at bedroom levels. Since this 50-watt amp is so loud, the master volume is a welcome addition. The Presence knob has been moved to the rear. The push/pull Bright Cap is located at High Treble Loudness 1 and is completely disengaged when pushed in. When pushed out it adds extra brightness to the high frequencies resulting in extra gain and it sounds glorious. The common ground bus makes the amp completely silent and all volume levels and lowers for much more clarity in your sound. The original tolex is in good condition overall with a couple small tears and scuffs here and there but nothing major. The handle works perfectly. Marshall Vintage Reissues Sound Exactly Like the Original! Though the 50-watt Marshall 1987X shares the same front and rear panel features as its big brother, the 1959 SLP, it does have its own distinct personality. Sweet warm singing sounds are packed into every nook and cranny of this great tone machine. Mix two channels together for a totally unique sound. Vintage Marshall through and through. The main characteristic that these amps share is their simplicity of operation and superb natural valve tone. The result is pure, majestic tone uncluttered by unnecessary circuitry. This produces a big, round, warm, sustain, full of classic character. With chord work you get a bark and percussive attack with a natural sounding breakup, which allows each note to ring out in a glorious musical crunch. Mix two channels together for a totally unique sound With the Marshall 1987X, you can mix the two channels together by connecting a short, screened patch lead between the second input of channel one and the first input of channel two. If you then plug your guitar into the first input of channel one, you can mix the different tonal characters of each channel for greater flexibility! 1969 Fender Bassman Silverface Drip Edge Tube Head Amplifier – Vintage. Here is an early example of a Fender Bassman Silverface Drip Edge. This Fender Bassman exhibits some minor cosmetic wear and small scratches on the faceplate but is in good condition overall. There is not a lot of wear on the Tolex like other heads of this age you see on the market. The Fender Bassman is fully functional and operates as intended. The previous owner swapped the original filter caps with 22uf 500v as well as giving it a complete set of new GT tubes. We put this amp through its paces and it sounds great and offers a ton of clean headroom! The amp has a gorgeous “bubbly” tone at it’s lower volumes but when it’s pushed, the richness begins to thicken up without getting too “fizzy”. At high volumes, a transparent overdriven tone is introduced that is great for those creamy, soloing leads. Vintage Early 70′s Ampeg VT22 V4 Tube Amplifier Head POWERS ON PARTS/REPAIR – 3 of the 4 7027′s light up, the 6k11 is missing as shown – I heard a slight hum through the speaker cabinet when I hooked it up but no sound from the guitar – needs repaired. Up for sale, a 1978 Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master tube amplifier head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Fully serviced and very original, this head drives a matched pair of EL34 power tubes, generating an ample 45 watts. Made in Canada and fully hand-wired with giant Hammond transformers, this amp has significant clean headroom and passes a ton of low end. Known as the poor mans Marshall, the circuit can be easily modified to that of a classic 4-input design, yet in its stock configuration the YBA-1 can already harness that rich Tweed-meets-U. Blend which is this Traynor’s sonic signature. With Volume controls for each channel as well as a global three-band EQ and presence control, this amp can be used to power a variety of different instruments (such as a bevy of vintage keyboards) or simply a single guitar or bass, providing a bold, clean power amp that works well with effects pedals. This Traynor has abundant low end response, and the large transformers keep the sound tight and full. This YBA-1 has a very original circuit, with the pair of original Hammond transformers and a preamp that has both a bevy of mustard caps in the signal path as well as all metal film resistors for an optimal noise floor. The power supply has been completely recapped to ensure optimal performance. The amp is currently loaded with a trio of Tung Sol 12AX7 preamp tubes as well as a matched pair of Mesa-branded EL34 power tubes. The faceplate retains all of its original knobs, and virtually all of the original silkscreen text is present too. Smooth black tolex and black grill cloth is framed by aluminum banded bumpers on either side of the head, and the original raised logo is present too. This Traynor lives up to the company’s reputation of delivering sturdy workhorse amps that perform reliably on stage and in studio situations. This vintage hand-wired Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master is a true sleeper that has been well played, but remains in top-notch performance condition. Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Bassman tube amplifier head in excellent condition and in good working order. Recently serviced and complete with fresh power tubes, this Bassman works exactly as intended with the AB165 circuit. Tonally, this amp delivers the rich and powerful tones associated with the Blackface sound, and the cleans are robust and detailed. Pushing the amp past around 5 on the Volume dial of either channel begins to coax shades of overdrive out of the circuit, with moderate compression and plenty of crunch and bite when you dime the amp out. Perfect for guitar or bass, this amp truly excels when delivering sweet, sparkling cleans. The circuit is very original with stock Schumacher transformers that both date to early’67. The power supply has been recapped with high quality F&Ts, and there are a couple new Sprague Orange Drop caps in the preamp as well as a new bias cap to ensure stable voltages to the power tubes. The preamp is otherwise nearly untouched and retains all but one of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps that are an essential part of the Blackface sound. The original CTS pots are also all accounted for, dating back to mid-1966. The power cable has also been upgraded to a modern three-prong variety. Present inside the head cab, the stock tube chart is present, with a “QF” date stamp which translates to June of 1967. Cosmetically, this amp is very clean clean, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. Save for a new pair of Fender piggyback clip bars, all of the original hardware is present including the chassis straps, handle caps, and sphinx glides. The faceplate shows limited wear with bold silkscreened graphics and stock witch hat knobs. The back panel is a modern replacement that matches the otherwise original tolex on the head. This Bassman is very original, professionally serviced, and recently retubed with a matched pair of JJ 6L6s.
