Vintage 1951 National Valco Tube Amplifier Amp 51 Chicago Gold Label. I have owned it for many years and now it’s time for someone else to enjoy. Senior citizen, non-smoker owned. Made in 1951, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Serial Number Metal Tag: X367, very low serial number range. Model: National Valco 51, with gold emblem logo on the front. Features: on/off toggle switch, fuse holder, bass/treble tone dial, volume low/high dial, and 3 instrument inputs. Speaker: 10 speaker, stamped 550-3 on the magnet, 6823 on the metal frame, and 41H800 on the actual speaker. Check out the attached video for a quick sound clip. Video with audio was done at the restoration shop after recent work was completed. Sounds even better in person! ELECTRONICS: The amplifier has been professionally restored electronically, (to original specifications as possible), including new tubes and a 10′ grounded 3-prong plug that replaced the brittle original 2-prong plug. The renowned “Hunt Amplification” in Phoenix, Arizona recently performed all of the electronic restoration. All electronic aspects of this amplifier are in 100% working order. EXTERIOR: Great overall used 74-year-old original, un-restored exterior condition. Exterior condition shows minor wear, discoloration and usage throughout the years. (Bottom lower front corners show some scuffs in the covering). Original aged brown leather carry handle. Exterior is in original, un-restored condition and is coming from a senior owned, non-smoking home. See pics for exact condition of every inch of this beautiful old amplifier. Here is a Sano Model 160 guitar / accordion amplifier. All tube combo, with a 12 speaker. From what I found on the internet, this amp output is at 16 watts. Features reverb and tremelo. Overall in good shape. Only real drawback I could find on this amp are the following. When using the reverb option, it starts feeding back once you go past about volume 3. I’m sure putting the reverb tank in a bag would help some, but I never got around to it. The only other thing I can fault with the amp is that the handle is very tight, and doesn’t really a whole lot slack when you pick it up. Other than that, pretty clean amp. Looks to have all the original tubes. Great for fans of : retro / old school / vintage / ampeg / new jersey / 50′s 60′s / fender / silvertone / harmony / blues / champ / deluxe / usa.
