Vintage Philips Stereo Tube Amplifier – Estate Find. Up for sale is a rare vintage Philips Stereo Tube Amplifier found at a local estate sale. This is a beautiful piece of mid-century audio equipment, perfect for collectors or restoration enthusiasts. Current Condition & Testing. Tested via Auxiliary: I tested the unit using the cables shown in the back photos through the Aux input. It powers on and sounds great. Volume Potentiometer: There is some “scratchy” noise (static) when adjusting the volume up or down. Partial Testing: Due to the lack of original cables, other inputs and functions have not been tested. Missing Hardware: Please note that the screws for the side covers are missing, though the unit remains functional. Cables: Original cables are not included. The unit shows some wear consistent with its age. Please refer to the high-resolution photos for a detailed look at the cosmetic condition, including the casing and knobs. This is a used Lux vacuum tube amplifier that has been tested. It requires four 6RA8 vacuum tubes to operate (not included). Deteriorated components such as capacitors have been replaced. The main unit has scratches and rust, but there are no severe stains or dents.

Vintage Zenith Stereo Hi-Fi 6BQ5 Tube Amplifier Model 4K21 – See Video. We tested a turntable with it, and it was also working. We tested the 6BQ5 tubes with a tube tester, and both tested below the minimum good value of 50 (tested at 46 and 44) and had shorts. The 12AX7 was tested right at the minimum value of 32. We did not test the 5Y3. The last photo of the tube diagram was from the console it came from and is not included, for reference only. Cosmetically, it is in good condition with light wear and some marks/stains on the face. The amplifier may need updating or repair, even though it was functional, due to its age. Please see all the photos. It has Stancor Power Transformer 95-1953, 20VAC, 50/60 Cycles, 1386226. It has 2 output transformers by Ensign Coil (95-1957-AR, 1726218). The face measures 13-1/8 x 6. Heathkit Model AA-32 Stereo Hi-Fi Amplifier. Corrosion and rust on the inside. Some paint chips on the outside case. Unit was powered on briefly and the power light came on and then went out. No other testing has been done. For Parts or Repair Only. Daystrom Tubes made by Mullard in Great Britain. Some of the tubes are kind of loose in their sockets.
