1959 Fender Harvard Narrow Panel Tweed 5F10 Vintage Pre-CBS Tube Amp Jensen P10R

Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Harvard in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The Harvard is a unique model, sitting just below the Deluxe in terms of output with two 6V6 power tubes, a substantially sized cabinet, and a single Jensen P10R alnico 10 speaker. The Harvard also has the distinction of being the only Tweed era Fender model name to not make the transition to subsequent Brown and Blackface amp series. Essentially a Vibrolux without the vibrato, the Harvard delivers on the promise of sweet tube saturation, and the extremely dynamic, harmonic rich tones which are a hallmark of the narrow panel tweed Fender amps. Outfitted with simple Volume and Tone controls, it’s easy to dial in everything from glassy cleans to tube overdrive with the twist of a knob. The cabinet size (noticeably bigger than the Champ and Princeton) adds a certain low end fullness to the tone as well, with great bloom to the notes and a richness that’s particularly evident when played with a humbucker-equipped guitar. The 5F10 circuit is extremely clean and well maintained, with new electrolytic caps sleeved in the original Minimite wrappers. The circuit is otherwise untouched, retaining the famed yellow Astron tone caps in the preamp, and stock CTS pots, carbon comp resistors, and cloth wiring as well. The original transformers are intact with a Triad power transformer and Schumacher output tranny. The faceplate is extremely clean, with shiny chrome and all of the original white silkscreened lettering intact (which was truly hard to capture in a photo, given the reflection from the chrome). The original Jensen P10R speaker is clean and intact, with a minty teal frame and stock foil label. The tube chart is present and quite clean as well, denoting the 5F10 circuit and also still featuring a cleanly stamped “IB” date code, which translates to February of 1959. Other impactful date codes include the CTS pots which date to the 6th week of’59 and the stamp on the edge of the speaker frame which dates back to the 49th week of 1958. The original lacquered tweed is intact and lightly ambered. A well kept example, this amp shows only a few moderate scuffs and minor wear on the corners and along the edges of the tweed pattern. The leather handle is original, and of particular note, the badge on the face of the amp is also original and reads “Fender Deluxe, ” having been mislabeled at the Fender factory. The Harvard is commonly referenced as the “Steve Cropper amp, ” having been used extensively by that artist to capture the tones heard with Booker T and the MGs on tracks like Green Onions, and on other notable hits like Otis Redding’s Dock of the Bay. It’s amazing the fullness and character that can come out of this small, 6V6 driven 1×10 Fender Harvard! Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1964 Fender Super Reverb Blackface Vintage Tube Amp Pre-CBS AB763 Jensen C10R

Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Super Reverb in excellent condition and in good working order. This Pre-CBS amp has been incredibly well cared for over the past nearly 50+ years, and comes from the first year of production. However, what truly makes this Super a rarity and a tonally exquisite example is the quad of original Jensen C10R speakers, arguably the rarest speaker quad used in this amp during the Blackface era. As a result, the tone has a hi-fi clarity, punch, and detail rarely afforded a Super Reverb and to round things out the amp is fitted with a complete vintage (and likely original) tube set including a matched pair of Fender-branded RCA 6L6GCs. Perfect for gigging situations and an ideal recording amplifier, the amp provides you with plenty of pristine Fender cleans until you hit the 4-5 range on the volume dial, where a bit of tube and speaker breakup send the amp into smooth overdrive. The reverb is lush and deep, and the tremolo has a nice pulse, with everything from swampy and slow to machine gun fast tremolo. The circuit is untouched save for a new three-prong power cable and even the original compliment of filter caps are still working as intended. All of the original coveted blue molded Ajax tone caps are intact too, and an integral part of the sweetness and detail of the Blackface sound. All of the original Schumacher transformers feature date codes from early’64, and the original CTS pots also date to 1964. The chassis itself is very clean as is the original blackface faceplate, which has been fitted with a new compliment of witch hat knobs. The tubes consist of a matched pair of “Made for Fender by RCA” 6L6GC power tubes along with a compliment of General Electric and RCA preamp tubes. In terms of the speakers, this Jensen quad is completely original, with matching late 1964 codes and the original harness. The speaker cones are all original, and the amp has a very strong, clear tone, as these cones have seen limited use over the decades and still reproduce focused lows and chiming highs. All four speakers retain clean square Jensen labels on the ceramic magnets, and the black frames show sparingly little wear. The original smooth black tolex is clean and original with little wear, while the original baffle features new aged silver sparkle grillcloth. The lower back panel is original and the upper panel is a modern replacement. The original nickel corners, sphinx glides (feet), chassis straps, chrome tilt-back legs, and raised “Fender” logo are present, and all hardware is in excellent shape. This Blackface Super Reverb is particularly clean, well maintained, and ready for stage and studio use! The original two-button Reverb/Tremolo footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! Vintage Airline Valco 62-9025A Guitar Amp, Tremelo, Reverb, RCA Tubes, Jensen

This is a vintage Airline 62-9025A guitar amp that was builtby the famous Valco amp company around 1965. This amp has two”regular” and one “bright” inputs. Built-in Tremeloand Spring Reverb are accessible on all inputs. The amp comes with all original RCA power, rectifier and premap tubes. Additionally, it comes with the completely original 10 Jensen speaker, original Spring Reverb tank, and the original footswitch. The only thingmissing from this amp is the handle, which was removed at some point. The only modification made that I’m aware of is the addition of a modern, three-prongpower cord. This is an absolutely necessary safety step, particularly ifyou are plugged into a modern sound system, where there are different powersources. The original owner bought it in 1965from Montgomery Ward department store for their then-teenage son. Judgingby the condition of the speaker and tubes, it doesn’t appear that the amp wasused very often by the original owner. The sound: absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly nails that mid-60′sBeatles chime or that “Born on the Bayou” growl when turned up andthe tremelo is engaged. The reverb can be subtle and airy to almostspacey sounding when turned up. The amp is a very Fender blackface soundto me, but the reverb and tremelo are more unique, raw and definitely 60′ssounding. I understand that Jimmy Page used a very similar ampduring the first Zeppelin records, because they have such a great naturaldistortion when turned up. You would be amazed at how full and loud thisamp can get with only one 10 speaker and one power tube. Find me a better sounding, vintage ampthat was made in America at even remotely this price. The item “Vintage Airline Valco 62-9025A Guitar Amp, Tremelo, Reverb, RCA Tubes, Jensen” is in sale since Saturday, April 14, 2018. 1959 Fender Tremolux Tweed Vintage Pre-CBS Tube Amplifier 1x12 6V6 Jensen C12Q

Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Tremolux amplifier, freshly serviced and retaining the original lacquered tweed. One of the most tonally distinctive and sweet sounding amps of Fender’s late 1950s “narrow panel” Tweed era, the Tremolux essentially combined the tonal richness and dynamic, touch sensitive circuit of a 5E3 Deluxe with a bias-based footswitchable tremolo. Powered by a pair of brand new Electro Harmonix 6V6 power tubes, this Tremolux has the same harmonic content, smooth tube breakup and glassy tone of a Deluxe, but the significantly larger open back cabinet on a Tremolux gives the tone more depth, low end and roundness overall! Like any four-input Tweed Fender, the magic really happens when you jumper the two channels and use the independent Volume controls to dial in the perfect amount of clarity and grit. With the addition of Fender’s earliest tremolo circuit (a bias based design that essentially turns on/off the power tubes to create the effect), the Tremolux is a versatile and impressive amp, delivering a trem circuit with a strong pulse and good range of speeds. This true road warrior has been given all the love a real golden era Fender amp deserves, and our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar have carefully gone through the circuit, balancing originality and functionality and using only the best parts available. All of the original yellow Astron tone caps are intact in the preamp, along with the original pots, carbon comp resistors, cloth wire, and mostly untouched solder joints. The main filter caps have been replaced with brand new Sprague Atoms so that the amp is working within original factory spec, and a three-prong power cable has been installed. A miniature bias pot has also been added to the eyelet board so that the tubes can be optimally biased (an option not available via the circuit’s traditional cathode bias method). The transformers are a brand new pair furnished by Mercury Magnetics and made in the USA, closely matching original specs and materials. These are the same transformers used in Fender’s top-tier Custom Shop builds, living up to the high bar set by Fender’s original transformer manufacturers in the era, Triad and Schumacher. The chassis itself is quite clean, and the chrome shows only very light pitting on the face with the majority of the white silkscreen lettering intact (the chrome in fact is so shiny that it was difficult to faithfully capture the lettering in the images, but rest assured it’s there). The original chicken head knobs are all present as well. The speaker is a vintage Jensen C12Q, rated at roughly 35 watts and the perfect match for the output of the Tremolux which is decidedly more modest than what the speaker can handle. The teal frame is quite clean, with a date stamp from’63, intact bell cover and original Jensen label. The tube chart is also present on the inside of the cabinet. The original “Tremolux” metal badge on the face of the amp is present, while the leather handle and sphinx glides (feet) are modern replacements. The original tweed is intact and as the photos show, it has been ambered and scuffed from decades of honest use. The most prominent wear on the pine cab is on the front bottom edge with a few bald spots. While the lower back panel is original, the upper back panel is a modern replacement, aged to closer match the wear on the tweed. The baffle is also a brand new solid pine replacement from MojoTone, fitted with new Oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe as per spec for the Tweed era. This Tremolux has been freshly serviced and is ready for stage and studio use! Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. International orders will be declared as merchandise, and the value of merchandise will be declared as the amount paid. We cannot declare anything as a gift or for a lesser value. 1965 Fender Bassman Blackface Piggyback Vintage Tube Amp AA165 FEIC, Jensen C12N

Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Bassman head and matching 2×12 cab loaded with stock Jensen C12N speakers and complete with fresh Tung Sol power tubes and original RCA preamp tubes. 100% original aside from a new bias cap and three-prong power cable, this vintage Blackface Fender amp is a true AA165 circuit Bassman with a Pre-CBS “Fender Electric Instruments” faceplate and date codes between late 1964 and early’65. For clarity, warmth, and headroom, this Bassman excels at delivering sweet and articulate Fender clean tones. Once you reach about 5 on the volume dial, the circuit starts to overdrive smoothly and compress a bit, for a raw, thick sound that’s perfect for guitar or bass. It’s a simple and pure vintage Fender “piggyback” head and cab setup that provides a perfect platform for effect pedals, and is ready for stage and studio use. Arguably the circuit available for the briefest period of time in the Blackface era, the AA165 circuit designation is seen on many tube charts (Leo Fender was never one to waste anything), but under the hood, the actual AA165 circuit was only seen for a few months in early’65 before transitioning to the AB165 that would be seen through 1968. On this particular amp the tube chart still refers to the earlier AA864 circuit, but the chassis layout conforms to AA165 specs. The circuit retains all of the original transformers with a power transformer dating to the 46th week of 1964 and a power transformer that dates to the second week of’65. All of the original blue molded Ajax caps are present in the preamp and the amp even retains all of the stock filter caps which are working as intended with no leakage. On the inside of the head cabinet, the original tube chart is present with a “OB” date stamp which translates to February of 1965. The amp is fitted with a modern three-prong cable. The tubes consist of a pair of brand new and properly biased Tung Sol 5881 (6L6GC) power tubes, along with a trio of RCA 12AX7s and a General Electric 12AT7 phase inverter tube. The speaker cab is loaded with a pair of original Jensen C12N speakers, and these 12 drivers are arguably the most desirable speakers for the Blackface Bassman. These speakers are detailed, clear, and well balanced, overdriving with very rich and balanced overtones. The frames are very clean, the original gold Jensen/Fender labels are present, and both speakers have their original cones. Cosmetically, this is a clean and well cared for Bassman with original smooth black tolex on the head and speaker cabinet. The grillcloth on the cabinet is original as well, while the head has genuine vintage cloth with aging consistent to the cab. There are only a few requisite scuffs and nicks on the edges of the enclosures, as well as one small bald spot on the cab just north of the front left corner. All of the original hardware is present, including the tilt-back chrome legs, nickel corners, handles, sphinx glides (feet), and Fender logos. The faceplate is also quite clean and complete with original witch hat knobs. There’s a bit of light patina on the hardware as well as faint aging of the grillcloth on the cab in particular, but that’s about the extent of any wear! This Bassman is clean, complete, and works exactly as intended for delivering powerful Fender cleans and thick overdriven textures. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. 1962 Fender Twin Vintage Tube Amp Brownface Blonde Pre-CBS 2x12 Jensen

Up for sale, a 1962 Fender Twin in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Fender’s premier tube combo amp in the Pre-CBS Brownface era, the Twin featured an identical chassis to their largest piggyback Fender amp, the Showman. A 2×12 affair with green frame Jensen speakers and 80 watts of power via a quad of matched General Electric 6L6 power tubes, this Twin is a powerhouse. The cleans are big, bold, and warm, with a huge range from the EQ controls and Fender’s famed Harmonic Vibrato circuit. Unlike traditional tremolo (volume modulation), this circuit has true pitch shifting vibrato with Leslie-esque warbles and thick, pulsating swirls. The perfect middle ground between the dynamic, saturated tones of the earlier Tweed era amps and the clarity and shimmering cleans of the later Blackface line, this Showman has a very warm and nuanced sound, with absolutely giant transformers that keep the low end thick and focused. The cabinet is brand new and built to vintage spec by Mojotone with rough blonde tolex, solid pine baffle, and oxblood grillcloth. The cab is fitted with genuine Fender hardware including nickel corners, dogbone handle, chassis straps, and chrome tilt-back legs. The Jensen speakers are both genuine vintage USA-made speakers with one alnico P12PS and one cermaic C12PS. Both speakers have clean green frames, original bell covers, and Jensen foil labels. The circuit has been fully serviced and recapped, with new bypass capacitors and new filter caps as well. The majority of the original famed Ajax blue molded tone caps are intact, providing the sweetness, clarity, and balance found with vintage Fender preamps. All of the stock pots and carbon comp resistors are present as well, along with original cloth wiring. The amp boasts a quad of vintage USA-made General Electric 6L6 power tubes as well as a host of vintage and newer valves in the preamp. The original transformers are all intact, with the absolutely massive output transformer often known as the “Dick Dale” transformer, spec’d to be cleaner and more powerful than any Fender transformer that preceded it. The original faceplate is in great shape with all of the stock cream barrel knobs. This Twin is thoroughly serviced with all original transformers, a vintage quad of power tubes, vintage Jensen speakers, and a new Mojotone cab made to vintage spec. Harmony 304 A Guitar Amp Vintage guitar amp Fender Amp Jensen speaker Tube Amp

They are getting more rare. Get it now and it’s yours. No more I knew I should have spent that 80 dollars more than I wanted to. It would be sitting here now. I don’t play guitar anymore, Or I’d hold onto it another ten years when it was worth more than I’m asking now. It’s a1962 Harmony guitar amplifier in great condition. They were both in mint shape when I bought them in 1982. I only used the amp for about two hours total. I bought an accoustic shortly after and never really learned to play guitar. The amp just sat. It’s got a couple stains on the front from something. Not sure whatever caused them. Over time they just seem to have gotten a little worse. The cloth is in excellent shape as is the whole amp with a 10 Jensen speaker. Even the handle is like new. You won’t be disappointed.
