Vintage 1973 Fender Silverface Musicmaster Bass Modified 1x15 Jensen Tube Amp

1973 Fender Musicmaster Bass tube amp modified with a vintage 15 Jensen speaker, and modern grounded plug. The baffle was replaced before I aquired the amp and is particle board, painted black. The speaker is a tight fit and the amp is rather light for its components. It sounds amazing and that speaker provides a marvelous thump and growl with P90′s, and intense warm lows with single coil pickups. There is a sweet spot between 6 and 8 with beautiful breakup. It sounds cool dimed, but too fuzzy and brown for my taste. It has a baby deluxe vibe before it starts to really overdrive. Great amp, great size. 1979 Fender Bassman 10 Vintage Silverface Tube Guitar Amp 4x10 Jensen

Up for sale, a 1979 Fender Bassman 10 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This Silverface Fender has been thoroughly serviced and is now arguably both more powerful and tonally rich than original factory spec. The speakers are a quad of modern Jensen 10 MOD speakers. Fresh back from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, this Bassman 10 features a pair of brand new JJ 6L6 power tubes which have been properly biased, and also a thorough servicing of the entire circuit to ensure that this amp works as well or better than the day it left the Fender factory 40+ years ago! Ideal for guitar or bass, this later iteration of the Bassman 10 is notable for having much larger and more powerful transformers than those amps produced up through 1977, and as a result these ultra-linear transformers make the amp a truly viable option for bass. Comparable to the Bassman 70 head in terms of power and design, the Bassman 10 has the classic, lightly compressed sound of the earlier Bassman models, with ample headroom before pushing into smooth tube overdrive at around 5 on the Volume dial. The channels are individually voiced (Bass/Normal and Bass/Studio), with the first channel having a Deep switch and overall darker tonal character with more limited EQ sweep, while the second channel covers a much wider frequency range in terms of EQ and also has the added bonus of a Midrange knob. The tone is classic Fender chime, with a clean sound that sparkles and is the perfect platform for an array of effects pedals. The circuit has been thoroughly serviced with a few new caps in the preamp and a full recap of the main filter caps as well. Both original Schumacher transformers are intact and date to 1979, along with the original CTS pots. The original tube chart is partially intact too. Cosmetically, the amp retains its original smooth black tolex as well as the stock silver sparkle grillcloth The amp shows its fair share of scuffs and snags on the enclosure and faceplate, but is structurally sound. This Bassman 10 has been fully serviced and is ready for the road! Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. 1966 Harmony H440 Vintage Tube Amp Valco-Made Supro Thunderbolt 2x12 Jensen C12P

Up for sale, a 1966 Harmony H440 tube amplifier in exceptional condition and in good working order. Like all top-tier Harmony amps of this era, this amp was produced by Valco in the USA, parent company of Supro, National, Airline, and others. Both visually and sonically impressive, this massive 2×12 combo amp was Harmony’s most expensive offering of the era and extremely rare in any condition. Essentially a Supro Thunderbolt with dual 35 watt output transformers and a gigantic power transformer to sum the two sides, this amp is utterly unique and extremely powerful. Top it off with two matched pairs of vintage RCA 6L6GC power tubes and dual rectifiers and you’ve got one very cool amp. The original Jensen C12P speakers accentuate everything we love about vintage Valco preamps, with a color and tone stack that is unique in the vintage amp world. Nothing has the full, harmonic rich overdriven qualities of a vintage Valco amp and the H440 is one of the most revered circuits, with the quintessential Led Zeppelin tone. The tremolo also has a very strong chop to it and the reverb (from the small two spring tank housed in the original cardboard box) has a lo-fi, surfy quality that is ideal for’60s garage and psych tunes. The circuit is very original, with stock transformers and a virtually untouched preamp. An example of true point-to-point wiring, the amp retains its original tone caps and has CTS pots that date to early’66. Tube rectified and pushing roughly 70 watts through two pairs of 6L6GC power tubes, the amp boasts particularly large transformers given its output, and this adds tremendously to the power and punch that the H440 can deliver. A modern three-prong power cable has also been installed. The speakers are the original matched pair of Jensen C12Ps with clean black frames, original gold foil labels on the magnets, and date codes from the 8th week of 1966. Cosmetically, this amp is very clean especially given its size. The black silkscreening on the faceplate is very vibrant and mostly intact, and the chrome shines like new. The original tolex has the “ostrich” pattern seen on some’60s Supro amps and the stock grillcloth shows only limited aging. The polished chrome faceplate is also particularly free from wear. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. 1965 Fender Deluxe Non-Reverb Blackface Vintage Tube Amp AB763 with Jensen C12Q

Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Deluxe, thoroughly played and freshly serviced. A true road warrior, this amp features the famed AB763 circuit and has incredible headroom and power, something that instantly sets it apart from its reverb equipped brother. Since the addition of the reverb effect into the Fender circuit essentially adds another gain stage, the non-reverb Deluxe really stands out as Fender’s premier 1×12 Blackface combo amp, with incredible warmth, EQ balance, and clarity. Perfect as a platform for pedals and an ideal amp for studio use, this Deluxe captures the quintessential Fender clean sound, with smooth tube overdrive and a hint of compression at higher volumes. The tremolo has a strong, even pulse as well, with a wide range of speeds. The circuit has been freshly serviced, with new F&T filter caps sleeved in the original cardboard tubes and a largely original preamp that retains the famed blue Ajax tone caps which are essential to the sweet, musical Blackface sound. All of the original Schumacher transformers date to 1965 along with the original CTS pots. A three-prong power cable has been installed and the amp boasts a fresh pair of 6V6 power tubes, as well as a host of newer preamp tubes. The speaker is an era-correct Jensen C12Q which has recently been professionally reconed. The speaker has a clean black frame and small blue foil Jensen label on the ceramic magnet. The original tube chart is intact and, with an “OI” date code that translates to September of 1965. Cosmetically, this amp has clearly been on the road for years and seen countless stages. Despite heavy use, the original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are intact! The stock baffle is still viable, and all of the original hardware is intact including the raised Fender logo, handle, and sphinx glides (feet). Up for sale, a 1965 Harmony 430 tube amplifier in excellent condition and in good working order. Like many Harmony amps of this era, this amp was produced by Valco in the USA, parent company of Supro, National, Airline, and others and is also known as the 6162 Reverb-Tremolo. ” This Harmony has a pair of Jensen 10″ speakers that accentuate everything we love about vintage Valco preamps, with a color and tone stack that is unique in the vintage amp world. Nothing has the full, harmonic rich overdriven qualities of a vintage Valco amp and the 430 is one of the most revered circuits, with the quintessential Led Zeppelin tone. It’s the sound of a stack in an open back 2×10 enclosure that has enough depth to really add some low end heft to the tone! The tremolo also has a very strong chop to it and the reverb (from the tiny two spring tank housed in the original cardboard box) has a lo-fi, surfy quality that is ideal for’60s garage and psych tunes. The circuit is very original, with the stock output transformer, a newer Hammond power transformer and a recap of the main power supply to assure that everything is operating within original factory spec. An example of true point-to-point wiring, the amp has mostly untouched solder joints and CTS pots that date to’65. Tube rectified and pushing roughly 15-20 watts, the amp boasts a pair of 6973 power tubes. A modern three-prong power cable has also been installed. The speakers are a matched pair of Jensen C10R ceramic drivers with clean black frames and 1965 date codes on the edges of the frames. Cosmetically, this amp is in great shape and the black silkscreening on the control panel is vibrant and intact. The original tolex has a subtle black ostrich pattern and the grillcloth shows modest aging, with a shiny chrome faceplate. 1967 Fender Twin Reverb Blackface Vintage Tube Amp 2x12 Jensen C12N, AB763

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Twin Reverb in excellent condition and in good working order. Very clean and well maintained, this Twin delivers warm, articulate cleans with ample bass response, smooth EQ and present, sparkly Fender top end. When it comes to the quintessential Blackface Fender amp for clarity, headroom, and the balanced, authoritative response of a four 6L6 driven tube amp, it’s hard to beat the Twin Reverb. The top end chimes and twangs without being brittle, and the low end has fullness without being too overbearing; it’s as classic and pure a design as Leo Fender ever created! The circuit has been thoroughly serviced and features all of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors in the preamp, along with all of the stock CTS pots and cloth wiring. A number of the resistors have been swapped with newer metal film two watt resistors known for their clarity and low noise floor, and the main filter caps have been replaced with high quality Sprague Atoms to guarantee years of future trouble-free use. The power tubes are a quad of vintage JAN/Phillips 5881/6L6WGBs and the preamp tubes are mostly vintage valves as well, with a couple RCAs and a Mullard in addition to a few new Groove Tubes 12AX7s. The original output transformer, reverb transformer, choke are stock, while the power transformer is a genuine vintage Twin transformer from the’70s and it is otherwise identical to the original. The speakers are a pair of era-correct Jensen C12Ns, with clean black frames and original brown and gold foil stickers on the magnets. These speakers easily handle the power of the Twin, and the wiring harness is partially original, with new leads going to each speaker. The dates on the edges of the speaker frames are from the 19th week of 1969. The tube chart is intact, with a “QB” date code which translates to February of 1967. The original black tolex is particularly clean, with only a few very small scuffs. The grillcloth has been professionally replaced and lightly aged to have a genuine vintage look, and the baffle has been upgraded from the stock MDF to a piece of solid pine for better overall tone and durability. All of the original hardware is present including the chrome tilt back legs, nickel corners, sphinx glides and handle. The faceplate is in great shape as well, retaining all of the original black witch hat knobs. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! Vintage 1962 Ampeg B-15N Portaflex Fliptop Tube Amp. Original Tubes and Jensen

1962 Ampeg B-15N Portaflex Fliptop amp. Original Tubes to my knowledge (Ampeg by Sylvania) and a RCA in the rectifier spot. This amp has been updated to a 3 prong cord and functions great. It has been sitting in a home studio, played a few times every other month or so. (Trust my feedback) It functions 100% and sounds great, but like any old amp it could use a little cleaning to the pots etc. Please see photos for condition. Amp is used and vintage! The chrome faceplate shows some age, the handle on top is missing and there is no dolly but otherwise complete. Tolex is in good shape (see pics). The bottom shows the most wear with the peeling but its all there to be re-glued down. This amp is a fantastic example of classic Ampeg tone and a staple for any studio. Message me with any questions! The item “Vintage 1962 Ampeg B-15N Portaflex Fliptop Tube Amp. Original Tubes and Jensen” is in sale since Sunday, September 10, 2017.
