The Lazarus Hybrid Amplifier is a rare and highly sought-after hybrid stereo power amplifier designed by Greg Miller and built in North Hollywood, California. It runs a cascode-connected 6DJ8 dual triode input stage driving complementary MOSFET output devices, with all circuit voltage gain derived from the tube front end and no overall feedback loop – a topology that delivers the warmth and dimensionality of tubes with the authority and control of solid-state. Power output is rated at 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms in Class A, doubling to 100 watts into 4 ohms and 200 watts into 2 ohms, with the ability to bridge to mono for 200 watts into 8 ohms. Owners consistently praise its ability to reproduce the deepest soundstages they’ve encountered, with zero listening fatigue even after extended sessions – a testament to the amp’s fundamentally musical character. Unit powers on but the DC offset measured too high for safe use and testing so it has been deemed a for parts/repair unit. The unit was not tested further after the DC offset was measured.
