Vintage Tube Amp

This compressor came from a California engineer who is in the process of downsizing his massive collection. He had removed it from a local station approximately 20 years ago. Since then, it’s sat in his radio room as a display piece. From what we can tell, it’s complete and all original. It’s a little dirty from years of being stored in an open-air rack, but should clean up well! The unit will have to be recapped before it can be used, and other components (resistors, etc) may need replacement as well. Also, we cannot guarantee the life of the tubes as we have not tested them. The tubes will be removed and boxed to ensure they reach you in good condition. This item will be packaged using our InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection! Up for sale here is this beautiful vintage Gates M-5167 Sta-Level tube compressor/limiter amp. This came from a radio station at some point. I have no idea how to use this–I’m a stereo guy, not a studio guy. This is in good physical condition with light to moderate overall wear. It has some missing paint on the edges of the rack mounts but nothing too bad. All tubes are included, but they are untested and some might need replacing. No cables, manuals, or any other accessories are included, sorry. It may need minor work or a full rebuild. I do not know. This will arrive safely. If you have any questions, please ask.
