From rockstargear4u, this Mesa Boogie Mark II in good condition! Awesome pre-owned, vintage (1980), all-tube, guitar amp head. The reverb circuit makes some noise (common to this model). Otherwise everything works perfectly. There is a scratch on the faceplate and some snags in the grill cloth. Otherwise just the usual marks here and there from normal use. Up for sale, a 1990s Mesa Boogie Mark I vintage reissue tube amp in excellent condition and in perfect working order. With a Walnut enclosure and cane grillcloth, this Mesa has the Mark I’s classic cosmetic touches, much rarer than the usual tolex-covered reissues. A faithful reissue loaded with a matched quad of Svetlana 6L6GC power tubes, this Mesa delivers the distinct sonic range made famous by players including. Carlos Santana, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Keith Richards and Pete Townshend. A two input affair, this Mark I has a decidedly different flavor for each input. Input 1 is the classic Mesa high gain circuit, designed for rich, textured lead work, and providing a churning powerful sound for chording. Plugging into Input 2 reveals an amp wholly faithful to its classic roots, producing a big, clean, shimmering rhythm sound. While the faceplate has the requisite Gain and EQ knobs, the back panel features both the Reverb and Presence knobs, as well as the Effects Loop and Slave out options. The circuit is clean and stock, with original transformers, impeccable wiring, and top notch components used throughout, with Sprague Atom filter caps and Orange Drop tone capacitors. The Walnut speaker cab is exceedingly clean, and the original Boogie badge is present on the cane grill. Vintage Dynaco Mark MK II tube amplifier – tested briefly. AC current draw from the line was about 1A at 90V and rose to 2A at 100V. The input signal played loud and clear without obvious 60Hz hum. The current draw indicates a minor issue that needs to be resolved before using but the important pieces are doing their jobs. The two tubes shown are included but have not been tested. Heres a new YOUTUBE demo of the actual amp for sale. Great sounding vintage Traynor tube head. Lots of people mod these but i like them as is. They are right up there in power and performance with Marshalls of the same era. I owned and gigged with a twin combo version of this for years. Has reverb and tremelo. Has some cosmetic wear but still very well taken care of for a 40 plus year old amp. All pots cleaned and function well… But no tubes replaced. Well built amp all Handwired.
