Vintage Scott Stereo Master LK-48 stereo tube amplifier. The unit is in fair cosmetic condition for its age, but it does have the expected dings/scuffs/surface wear. Channel A is not working and Channel A vacuum tubes did not light-up. Channel B worked when audio tested. Unit was only audio tested with a turntable; no sophisticated electronics or tube testing was performed. New JJ Electronic vacuum tube GZ34 was placed in unit. This listing is for a Vintage 1978 Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master Guitar Amp with Matsushita Mullard Tubes! The two 6CA7/EL34s are Westinghouse branded, marked Japan with an O getter and have a seam on the top (very faint on one) indicating that they are Matsushita Mullards. The three 12AX7s are GE branded, marked Japan with an O getter and have a seam on the top indicating that they are also Matsushita Mullards. The serial number (8010404) indicates that it was manufactured in January 1978. Prior to listing it was tested using a cabinet and Squier Strat that we keep for testing. It played beautifully, with a huge sound and very little hum – more of a quiet hiss, really. In fair cosmetic condition, for its age and would benefit from a deep cleaning. The power transformer is mounted at a slight angle – we’re not sure why. This is the only one on the market with a premium tube set – don’t let it get away! Powered by SixBit’s eCommerce Solution. Up for sale, a 1970′s Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master Mark II tube amplifier head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Fully serviced and very original, this head drives a matched pair of EL34 power tubes, generating an ample 45 watts. Made in Canada and fully hand-wired with giant Hammond transformers, this amp has significant clean headroom and passes a ton of low end. Known as the poor mans Marshall, the circuit can be easily modified to that of a classic 4-input design, yet in its stock configuration the YBA-1 can already harness that rich Tweed-meets-U. Blend which is this Traynor’s sonic signature. With Volume controls for each channel as well as a global EQ, this amp can be used to power a variety of different instruments (such as a bevy of vintage keyboards) or simply a single guitar or bass, providing a bold, clean power amp that works well with effects pedals. This Traynor has abundant low end response, and the large transformers keep the sound tight and full. This YBA-1 has a very original circuit, with all of the original Hammond transformers and a preamp that retains all of the original pots as well as the mustard tone caps which are essential to the tonal color of this head. The power supply includes new F&T capacitors to ensure optimal performance. The amp is currently loaded with a trio of vintage 12AX7 (7025) preamp tubes as well as a matched pair of Sylvania EL34 power tubes. The faceplate retains all of its original knobs, with most of the white screenprinting having been worn away. Smooth black tolex and a silver grill cloth cover the enclosure, with a good deal of scuffing and wear throughout, and there is evidence of black paint on the enclosure, specifically over the chrome bumpers. This Traynor lives up to the company’s reputation of delivering sturdy workhorse amps that perform reliably on stage and in studio situations. This vintage hand-wired Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master Mark II is a true sleeper that has been well played, but remains in top-notch performance condition. Scott model 222 stereo vacuum tube amplifier in very clean and fully functional condition. This is a 6BQ5 push-pull type tube amplifier and it sounds so sweet, especially when hooked up to a quality turntable. This amplifier was recently restored with all new electrolytic capacitors, all of the controls and switches and tube sockets have been cleaned with dioxIT d5, all of the tubes recently tested strong with any weak tubes being replaced, the output tubes were matched and balanced properly, any resistors that were out of spec have been replaced, and four rubber feet were installed on the bottom of this amp it already had four flat felt feet (which can still be used if you decide to mount this amp in a wood cabinet). Overall, this vintage amplifier is very clean for its age, from top to bottom, inside and out. The face still looks fantastic with all clear lettering and all of the knobs are clean and not damaged. The power cord is in good shape (not brittle) and the power indicator light is still bright. As the photos show, even the chassis is still very clean and all of the tube sockets are tight. Up for sale, a 1978 Marshall JMP 2204 Master Model 50w Mk II Lead vintage tube amplifier head, freshly serviced and sporting the original fawn tolex. Produced in the proverbial “sweet spot” for late’70s Master Model JMPs, this 2204 features cascading preamp gain and the kind of rich, muscly, ripping textures synonymous with AC/DC’s renaissance. At 50 watts, the amp has plenty of power and crunch, and the Master Volume is an infinitely usable tool for creating natural sounding drive at a variety of volumes. Conversely, turning the Master to 10 and dialing in the Preamp Volume to taste yields more Plexi-like textures. The EL-34 power tubes are Marshall’s signature valve of choice and have ample sizzle and headroom, and this amp is fitted with a brand new properly biased pair from Electro Harmonix. As the back panel of the amp can attest, numerous mods were removed and cleanly plugged. The chart on the chassis has a handwritten January, 1978 test date. The chassis itself is quite clean, with a faceplate that retains all of the original black silkscreen lettering and a full compliment of original knobs. The original fawn tolex shows plenty of scuffs and minor tears, yet the large Marshall logo on the face of the amp is fully intact. All of the original piping is present too, along with the original plastic corners and feet. A new vintage-spec handle has been installed. Up for sale, a 1984 Marshall JCM800 model 2203 “Mk II Master Model 100″ vintage tube amp head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. One of the first Marshalls to feature the pre-phase inverter Master Volume circuit, this early vertical input JCM800 allows the preamp to saturate and deliver searing crunch at club-friendly volumes. Of course the amp really excels when you dial up both the preamp gain and volume for a thick crunch. The circuit is clean and stock, with original Drake transformers. The chart on the chassis has a handwritten 3-29-84 test date. The amp features a new quad of freshly biased EL34 power tubes, and a trio of modern preamp tubes as well. The chassis itself shows some oxidation and light surface wear, while the gold faceplate is quite clean with all original knobs intact. There is modest wear through the black silkscreen graphics, particularly above the knobs and adjacent to the inputs. An extremely rare iteration, this Marshall was originally imported to Japan. Curiously, the amp was never wired for anything but USA 120v power, and the amp has recently been fitted with a modern three-prong power cable (the polarity switch on the rear panel has been disconnected). The original tolex shows only a few small tears and nicks on the back edges of the enclosure, and the original large Marshall logo is fully intact.
