Up for grabs is my vintage Mesa/Boogie Bass 400 all-tube bass amplifier head, paired with the original Mesa SUS-4 Super Shock Mount System road case. This is an early-1980s example with the classic slider EQ and dual input layout. The amp is well-maintained, functions properly, and delivers the signature Mesa low-end punch and warmth that made these a legend. The included SUS-4 shock-mounted case is a rare, high-end Mesa accessory that was built specifically for these heads. It features internal shock suspension, foam isolation, heavy touring hardware, and excellent structural protection – ideal for studio owners, touring bassists, or collectors. Only one channel works as it should. The other one squeaks and feeds back at low volume. Not sure what is wrong with it but could be an easy fix for someone who knows how to fix mesas. Way over my pay grade though. The channel that works properly works great is very loud and clear ans speaker sounds amazing. Wish I knew how to fix myself but cant afford to take it to repair shop at the moment so my loss is your gain. Below is manufacturers stock description of the amplifier. Will be needing some new preamp tube’s soon but this amp is amazing. Doesnt come with foot pedals but u can switch the channels on the amp itself. Included is power cord and combo amp. Amazing shape especially for its age all knobs and sliders work as they should. VTG 1981 Boogie MK II B with EQ and Reverb foot switch included. Nice clean example of this classic amp. Some very light wear, but nothing major to note. Tested working and sounds great! EVM 12L 12 speaker as shown.

Up for sale, a 1986 Mesa Boogie Mark III “Red Stripe” Simul-Class head and matching 4×12 speaker cabinet in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The third iteration of the Mark III’s evolution, this long box Mesa head features original white bronco tolex and the tell-tale red mark on the back of the chassis above the power cable noting the factory tweaks made to this particular Mesa, namely that the lead mode circuitry is almost identical to the IIC+, and some minor component substitutions in preamp also bring it closer to the IIC+. Everything from bold cleans to raw, aggressive overdrive to thick crunch is available from the Mark III with every push pull option and trick in the book for maximum versatility and tonal tweakage. The circuit is extremely original, professionally recapped with Sprague Atom filter caps as needed and retaining the original Schumacher transformers which date to’86, along with the stock fan and reverb pan. The amp is stocked with a matched quad of Sovtek 5881 (6L6GC) power tubes with five EH preamp tubes. The speaker cabinet is loaded with the original quad of Electro Voice 12L heavy duty speakers with extremely clean frames and original cones. Cosmetically, this is a clean and complete set, and the head retains all original knobs and slider tips. The white bronco tolex shows only minor wear on the enclosure edges, and the original hardware and faceplate are very well-kept. Both original footswitches are included.
