Silverface Dual Showman Tube Amp Head Tremolo and Reverb. Excellent vintage condition early 1969 Fender Silverface Dual Showman tube amp head with tremolo and reverb. 85 watts at 8 ohms. Sounds sweet and all the gigging power you’ll ever need! Silverface chassis number A17603 (1969). No master volume to mess with your tone. Tolex is in very good condition. Original grill cloth and logo and faceplate are in excellent condition. Original power transformer #606 903 (3rd week of 1969), choke #606-8-49 (49th week of 1968), output transformer #606 848 (48th week of 1968), and reverb transformer #606-9-02 (2nd week of 1969). The old brown pillow coupling caps have been replaced with high quality orange drops. New F&T filter and bias supply caps. Sprague Atom bypass caps and a couple resistors. Balance control has been replaced and converted to pre-CBS true bias control. New reverb pan bag and cables. Grounded cord for safety. RCA blackplate and Sylvania 6L6GC power tubes and RCA preamp tubes. Another sparkling example of “Fender Art”. Hi and thanks for clicking. This is a very nice old Ampeg 1×15 Portaflex Tube Amp USA Made in 1965. It shows cosmetic signs of wear and tear but still sounds fantastic. Everything is original on this amp except for two of the tubes. This amp is loud and sounds great. The speaker is still strong with a nice tight bottom. Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order with the original Victoria Luggage cover, factory booklet, and complete vintage tube set. Extremely clean cosmetically, this collector-grade vintage Blackface Fender amp is a real stunner. The Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, and the Fender AA764 Blackface circuit delivers both well balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is extremely lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The chassis itself is very clean, with all original transformers dating to early’66. All of the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps are intact in the preamp (an essential part of the Blackface sound), and the original filter and bypass caps are still viable. The power cable is the original two-prong variety too. All of the original CTS and Stackpole pots are intact, dating back to’66. The tubes are all ostensibly original and a drool-worthy compliment, with a matched pair of gray plate RCA 6V6s, an Amperex 5AR4 rectifier and preamp tubes from the likes of Mullard and RCA. The speaker is the original Jensen C10Q, with a clean frame, original cone and gold/brown Fender label on the ceramic magnet. The speaker retains the original harness as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender “F” cap. The tube chart is very clean, with a “PF” date stamp from June of 1966. As the photos show, the original black tolex is extremely clean, and the original silver sparkle grillcloth shows sparingly little aging, retaining the raised Fender logo. All of the original hardware is intact and gleaming. This vintage Blackface Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 50 years of use! The original Victoria Luggage black vinyl cover is intact and a snug fit, and while the cover does have a couple repaired tears on the back, it has no loose edges or rips at present. The silkscreened lettering is still present on the face of the cover too. The original Fender factory booklet that accompanied the amp when new is also intact. Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Tremolux amplifier in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the stock “doorstop” wooden footswitch. One of the most tonally distinctive and sweet sounding amps of Fender’s late 1950s “narrow panel” Tweed era, the Tremolux essentially combined the tonal richness and dynamic, touch sensitive circuit of a 5E3 Deluxe with a bias-based footswitchable tremolo. Powered by a pair of 6V6 power tubes, this Tremolux has the same harmonic content, smooth tube breakup and glassy tone of a Deluxe, but the significantly larger open back cabinet on a Tremolux gives the tone more depth, low end and roundness overall. Like any four-input Tweed Fender, the magic really happens when you jumper the two channels and use the independent Volume controls to dial in the perfect amount of clarity and grit. With the addition of Fender’s earliest tremolo circuit (a bias based design that essentially turns on/off the power tubes to create the effect), the Tremolux is a versatile and impressive amp, delivering a trem circuit with a strong pulse and good range of speeds. The circuit is completely stock and untouched, with all of the original yellow Astron tone caps in the preamp, along with the original pots, carbon comp resistors, and cloth wire. Even the original Mini Mite Astron caps are present, along with the stock gray two-prong power cable. All of the original transformers are intact with late’59 date codes, and the pots date to the 50th week of’59 as well. The chassis itself is particularly clean, with chrome plating that has ample shine and virtually all of the original white silkscreen lettering intact. The original chickenhead knobs are all present as well. The speaker is the original Jensen P12Q, rated at roughly 35 watts and the perfect match for the output of the Tremolux which is decidedly more modest than what the speaker can handle. The teal frame is quite clean, with clear date stamps, intact bell cover and original Jensen label. The tube chart is also present on the inside of the cabinet and a particularly nice example, with an “IL” date stamp that translates to December of 1959. All of the original hardware is intact including the elusive leather handle. Other stock hardware includes the “Tremolux” badge on the face and four sphinx glides (feet) on the bottom. The original tweed is intact and as the photos show, it is in particularly nice shape, with sparingly little wear around the corners. The original oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe is also intact and well preserved and this is a particularly tidy vintage example with tweed that has aged to a light shade of amber. This Tremolux is a clean, no-excuses, collector-grade example with a stock circuit, clean chrome faceplate, original tweed, and stock brown single button wooden footswitch.
