This is not “a” Williamson Amplifier, this is “THE” Williamson Amplifier. The British made original whose circuit design became the de facto standard for push-pull HiFi amps. Complete with power supply unit and umbilical cord. A few resistors and capacitors appear to be changed out, but largely these units are original and in remarkable shape for their age. They came from the estate of a local old school TV repairman. There simply are none available to compare. I can’t even find a picture of a complete unit like the one I have here. This should be in a museum or serious collection. I have not plugged these in, and I will not. This is something that needs to be carefully restored by an expert. I have no reason to believe that the amp doesn’t work, as it was found hooked up to a speaker. I will listen to serious offers, but would also just appreciate advice on how to determine a value for this. The amp can also be inspected in person in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Up for sale here is this gorgeous vintage Sears Silvertone 1483 tube amplifier. This is in great condition, with light to moderate wear overall and very light rust/corrosion on the face. It’s not mint, but is definitely in good shape. The cabinet is nice and solid. This has the original Silvertone-badged RCA 6L6GC output tubes, dated 1967, and has the original Silvertone 6CG7 and 5Y3GT tubes. The 12AX7s are vintage US-made, I think GE. Both tube shields are there. This is missing the rear ID badge that would normally be riveted in on the right side. This only has two bolts holding it in from the bottom, and no bolts from the back–I’m not sure why those are gone. The electronics appear to be 100% original–all the caps look like they are untouched. The 6L6GCs are dated 1967, so this amp is from around that year. All the original knobs are there. This has four 1/4″ input jacks on the front and two 1/4″ output jacks on the back. I do not know if this normally has one or two rear output jacks. It has a nice long power cord, and has another cable sticking out of the back. That second cable is shorter, maybe a foot long, and has what appears to be an odd-looking AC plug on the end, but I’m pretty sure it’s an output cable and is not an AC cord. I brought this up on a Variac, and it does play fine and sounds good. I didn’t hear much background noise, just a tiny bit of it in the background. I did clean the 12AX7 sockets and potentiometers with Deoxit, but otherwise I have not updated this or anything. This is tested and working, but because this is a vintage tube amplifier, I would strongly recommend that you recap/restore this before regular use. 1961 Fender Champ Tweed Amp with 5F1 circuit. This vintage amp includes all original parts except for the rear panels and it has just been fully inspected and serviced with zero issues. There is typical cosmetic wear in the tweed covering throughout, and a tiny tear in the speaker grill cloth. The original handle works perfectly but has typical wear. All lettering and numbers on the control panel are visible. The original speaker is included but has been swapped for a USA Mojotone. A few caps were replaced when it was serviced but all originals are included. This is an extremely loud and fantastic sounding amp for its tiny size, which is why the 5F1 Champ is so highly regarded. The Fender Champ evolved out of the Champion 600 and 800 which launched in the late’40s. Originally, the Champ was a tweed-covered 4 watt amp with a 6-inch speaker. All of these details would evolved during its production run, with a switch to a black cover coming in 1964. This sale is a vintage. Scott 299 Tube Stereo Integrated Amplifier. It is an integrated amp that features phono stage. This amp is all original, no mods. Tubes shown in pictures are borrowed for testing, not included in the sale. I powered it up with variac to 80v AC. One channel always produced good sound from the connected speaker; the other kind of hit and miss; not always got sound. When this second channel worked, the sound was OK. So, I can tell that the output and power transformers should be all good, but the circuitry or some controls/switches needs attention due to the intermittent behavior. Cosmetics are fair, particularly the front has couple of bent areas. Good thing is all knobs are original. Chassis is good structurally. It is just covered by a layer of dust/dirt; not really rust. I rubbed/cleaned a small area (see pictures) and it shows good metal underneath. So, a good cleaning/detailing can get the chassis back in good shape. Bottom plate is there. Pl ease examine the photos carefully, for they are part of item description. Again, no tubes are included. Tube shields are included though. Please wait for my invoice before pay.
