Vintage Tube Amp

VINTAGE 1975 FENDER SUPER TWIN GUITAR AMP PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED. This super twin amp does not have a reverb feature. The super twin has more power than a regular twin. I bought this amp in 1983 and never used it professionally. Does have some tape residue on the back. Comes with original cover that has wear and splits. The speakers are original. On the back it says it has 180 watts at 4 ohms. See pic of invoice. A full set of new capacitors and 3 new tubes were installed. The standby switch was replaced. The polarity switch has been bypassed now. The last pic shows all of the old components that were replaced. The amp now works perfectly. I bought this from a store on South Street in Philadelphia in the 1980′s. The serial number sticker is missing. It was that way when I bought it. It weighs 90 pounds. It must be picked up in person. Marantz Model 5 Amplifier. Serial #’s: 2718, 2732. These amplifiers were restored as a pair in 2016 by AEA (Analog Engineering Associates) Audio Inc. The company founded by audio pioneer Ken Leonard. Output tube bias supply filtering improved. Bias supply Selenium rectifier replaced with modern silicon type. Bias was critically adjusted using a spectrum analyzer to minimize odd-order harmonic content, especially minimizing the 5. The last pictures show the test report details the performance. NOTE: One of the Amps is missing an external oil can capacitor. Restoration was completed with a new capacitor placed internally. A near match of the capacitor is included and can be placed for aesthetics (see pictures). Tubes will all be removed and packed separately.
