For Sale is a 1963 era Ampeg Reverberocket R 12 R B amp with Octal tubes. Reverb (echo) and tremolo. This is the more desireable top loader Reverberocket in great cosmetic condition. Sounds great, in good playing condition. This one has the 6SL7 and 6SN7 octal preamp tubes with 7591′s for the outputs. Upgraded 3 prong cable. Internal parts date from late 1963. For you consideration – All Original Ampeg Reverberocket Tube Amplifier. This is a stunner. It had some caps replaced recently by a friend of mine. He has it in tip-top condition. Original Jensen 12 Speaker sounds amazing. These have a wonderful sounding Reverb – or what Ampeg names “Echo/Dimension” as well as a beautiful Tremolo sound. IF you haven’t played one of these – they are kind of Fender(ish). There is a great article in Vintage Guitar Magazine about these written by Dave Hunter. If you want to find out more try to find that article online. They are the only Ampeg Amps known for the early break-up – good for just about any type of Music.
