1967 Fender Princeton Reverb Vintage Blackface Tube Amp with Jensen C10Q

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Princeton Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with footswitch. Freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar and boasting a full vintage tube set, the Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions. This classic Fender AA764 Blackface circuit delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is extremely lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The circuit retains the original Schumacher output transformer (Fender’s primary transformer supplier in the era) along with a factory spec replacement power transformer. The preamp retains many of the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps (an essential part of the Blackface sound), along with a few replacement tubular caps and smaller electrolytics in the preamp. The larger multi-section can cap in the power supply has also been recently replaced to ensure trouble-free performance, and the power cable has been upgraded to the modern three-prong variety. All of the original pots are intact, dating back to’66. The tubes consist of a vintage matched pair of Magnavox-branded 6V6s with an RCA 5U4 rectifier and all vintage valves in the preamp as well. The speaker is a vintage Jensen C10Q, with a clean frame, traditional brown and gold Jensen foil sticker on the magnet, and 1967 date stamp on the edge of the frame. The speaker retains the original speaker harness as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender “F” cap. The tube chart is fully intact, with a “QC” date stamp from March of 1967. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are intact, with some modest edge wear on the tolex and uniform aging of the grill, with one small tear central to the cloth. The original faceplate shows a speckling of light wear with a full compliment of witch hat knobs, and the hardware includes a fresh pair of chassis straps along with the original handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and raised Fender logo. This vintage Blackface Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 50 years of use. The amp comes complete with a modern two-button footswitch to engage the Reverb and Vibrato effects. Fender Princeton Reverb Vintage 1979 Silverface Tube Amp

For sale is a very clean 1979 (according to the original date on the transformers) Fender Princeton Reverb vintage silverface tube amp. We all know how good these sound and how rare they are becoming compared to the circuit board reissues – reverb and tremolo are killer! Since Ive owned it, the amp has been professionally cleaned, the reverb tank has been serviced, and a new grill cloth has been installed (the tolex on this amp was so clean that it was a mis-match with the ratty old grill cloth, so I replaced it). Per the previous owner, the amp had been serviced, recapped, and re-tubed as necessary. He installed a GE NOS coin base/coke bottle style rec. There were some slight mods done to enhance the depth of the tremolo and to allow for a slower trem rate. There was also a pot professionally installed to allow for easy biasing. The death cap was removed and a 3-prong power cord added. Overall, this amp delivers the traditional Fender warm, rich sound with that classic spank through the original CTS speaker. Its an amazing pedal platform for live and studio use. The item “Fender Princeton Reverb Vintage 1979 Silverface Tube Amp” is in sale since Thursday, October 22, 2020. This item is in the category “Musical Instruments & Gear\Guitars & Basses\Guitar Amplifiers”. The seller is “cmhbth” and is located in Columbus, Ohio. This item can be shipped to United States.

Up for sale, a 1968 Fender Vibrolux Reverb, in exceptional, collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, just given a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. A very early transitional example with “drip edge” aluminum trim, this Vibrolux Reverb is a variation made only for a few short months in early’68 which still retains identical circuitry and component values to its Blackface predecessor, including blue Ajax tone caps and cloth-covered wire. With good reason, the Vibrolux is one of the most desirable Fender models for its ideal size and power, performing well both on stage and in the studio with shimmering Fender cleans and smooth, lightly compressed tube overdrive when you push the amp towards 10 on the volume dial. Clean and sweet up til about 5 on the volume knob (with a perceived volume that’s loud enough to keep up with an aggressive drummer), the Vibrolux has smooth attack and tube rectifier sag, not to mention lush tube reverb and punchy tremolo. This Vibrolux has been serviced to balance originality and functionality, boasting a recap of the power supply and a modern three-prong power cable. The original Schumacher-made power and output transformers are intact and date to’68, and the original choke and reverb transformer are present too. The preamp features many of the original blue Ajax caps, with a few Sprague Orange Drops and smaller electrolytics installed as needed to ensure reliable, consistent performance in-line with factory spec. The original Oxford 10 10L5 speakers sound fantastic, with clean black frames and Fender foil stickers on the ceramic magnets. The tube chart is fully intact with crisp corners, noting the AA864 circuit. The pair of Tung Sol 5881 (6L6) power tubes sound wonderful and are optimally biased, and the preamp tubes are a matched compliment of modern Electro Harmonix-branded valves. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with blue stripe are stunningly clean. The grill is framed by the distinctive “drip edge” aluminum trim, and the faceplate is incredibly well-kept with all of the original witch hat knobs. The hardware includes the raised Fender logo with tail, handle caps, chassis straps, corners, and sphinx glides (feet). A vintage Fender two-button footswitch is included, along with an amp cover from the 1970s. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! If youre reading this, you probably know what great amps vintage Deluxes are. Theres a reason theyre sought after classics. The Fender logo with no tail, no push-pull pot, and chassis serial number dates this amp to 1973. This amp was serviced by David Allen of Allen Amplification to get it ready for sale. David has a national reputation for amp design, building, and repair. It sounds great, and is ready to make beautiful music with your favorite guitar. There are new feet on the bottom. The Tolex is worn through on one of the top rear corners. There is some plating wear on the chassis straps and handle end caps. One of the knobs was missing, so I installed a replacement knob. The speaker is a Fender Eminence speaker. A past owner installed a pair of tweeters. They are unhooked and dont do anything. I left them in to block light from showing through the holes. Overall, this amp is in excellent working condition with typical cabinet wear for its age. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY, PLEASE! This tube amp was removed from a working Hammond model L organ. It uses a 5U4 rectifier tube, 2 6BQ5′s in the output, 2 12AX7′s and a 12BH7 in the preamp. The reverb tank as well as all tubes shown are included with the amplifier. These make for great restoration of a vintage organ OR can be turned into screaming little guitar amps like Dr Z originally did using hammond tube amps. Again, this amp was working when I removed it, however It will need a power cord and most likely the electrolytic caps replaced as they are over 50 years old in there. Please feel free to ask any questions prior to purchasing. The item “Hammond AO-43-1 Tube Amp reverb tank and tubes working L-100 vtg vintage EL84″ is in sale since Saturday, September 12, 2020. I picked this amp up used. I had my friend test it. He attached a microphone to it and both channels worked. We didn’t have a guitar to connect to it. All the tubes light up. The little light on the front panel doesn’t come on. It may just be the bulb. It has some cosmetic wear from normal use (see photos). I don’t know what year this was made.
