Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. With good reason, the Vibrolux is one of the most desirable Fender Blackface models for its ideal size and power, performing well both on stage and in the studio with shimmering Fender cleans and smooth, lightly compressed tube overdrive when you push the amp towards 10 on the volume dial. Clean and sweet up til about 5 on the volume knob (with a perceived volume that’s loud enough to keep up with an aggressive drummer), the Vibrolux has smooth attack and tube rectifier sag, not to mention lush tube reverb and punchy tremolo. The circuit is stunningly straight, save for new electrolytic caps in the preamp and power amp, cleanly sleeved in their original Minimite wrappers. The original Schumacher transformers all date to 1966, and the preamp features a full compliment of original blue molded Ajax caps, a key ingredient in the sweet, musical character of Fender’s Blackface circuits. All of the original CTS pots are intact too, dating to’66. The Oxford 10 speakers are a pair of vintage drivers with clean black frames and blue foil Fender stickers, both dating a few years later than the amp but otherwise identical to the stock speakers. The tube chart is intact, and strangely oriented upside down, with a PH date stamp which translates to August of 1966. The pair of Tung Sol 5881 (6L6) power tubes are optimally biased, and the preamp tubes are all modern valves from the likes of Electro Harmonix and Sovtek. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are intact, and the hardware includes the full compliment of witch hat knobs, raised logo, handle caps, chassis straps, corners, and sphinx glides (feet). The upper back panel is original, and the lower panel is a vintage-spec replacement. The original two-button footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. This is a VINTAGE 1969 DRIP EDGE FENDER TWIN REVERB TUBE GUITAR AMP with ORIGINAL JBL D120F SPEAKERS. IT WAS RECENTLY MODDED TO BLACKFACE SPECS. It is complete and functions properly. Controls and inputs have been cleaned, no scratchy pots. Completely serviced, everything works as it should. The cabinet covering and grill show wear. This is a solid, road worthy beast. Channel 1 controls are volume, treble, middle, bass, bright switch. Channel 2 controls are volume, bass, mid, treble, reverb, speed, intensity, bright switch. Original faceplate, knobs, footswitch, grill cloth, tolex, drip edge trim, hardware, speakers, paperwork, transformers, etc. Original power cord, but replaced plug. Made in the U. The tube chart has this as a AB763 circuit but it was actually a AC568 model, as confirmed by the schematic and my amp tech. Take note of the multi voltage selector switch on the back. The factory addition of a multi-voltage power transformer makes for a very rare model indeed. But notice the selector knob is missing. Set at (American standard) 117 volt, 60 cycle. Transformer codes are as follows… 022889 606915, 022699 606-9-12, 022746 606917. Not all the potentiometer codes are legible, but here is a list of the ones I can read… 137 6834, 137 6618, 137 6913, 137 6840, 137 6916. All the codes are correct for this vintage and components are assumed to be original. The supply cap pan has service dates… The smaller nine pin tubes include 2 made in the USA, all others are imports. It has a matched quad of Sovtek 6L6GC power tubes. The speakers are original to the amplifier. They have most likely been re-coned, as they no longer have the aluminum dust caps. Aesthetically this may be a concern for some, but audibly it is an improvement; eliminates a bit of the bright JBL sizzle and provides a slightly darker blackface tone. Deep and rich, just as it should be. The’JBL’ logo on the lower right grill is a replacement. This began life with an AC568 bias section. I have owned this amp for 8-12 years. I have many nice tube amps, but play mostly acoustic guitar. I have a friend (certified Fender & Peavey amp tech) who has serviced many of my amps over the years. When I took this amp to have serviced, he suggested I blackface this amp since it was too similar to my other. It was a great idea and although this amp sounds better than the 1970, I really do not need two Twins. I hate to see it go. IT IS AN AWESOME AMPLIFIER. Arguably the best amplifier Leo Fender ever designed. This LOUD, CLASSIC, TONE MONSTER is ready to give it’s next owner joy and pleasure. (and possible hearing loss). That is a bargain. This item is heavy and will require extra time and care to package. I never use UPS. Old electronics are scratched, worn, chipped, cracked, dirty, dusty, stained, ugly, tinkered with, missing parts, etc. The exteriors have wear that includes cuts, holes, tears, scuffs, missing stitching, missing or replaced feet and knobs. In the course of servicing over the years, they typically do not have all original components. Old electronics typically hum and have scratchy controls. As a basic test I have operated this amp for at least 4 hour recently and it did not fail, smoke, blow fuses, etc. Typically easy and inexpensive to maintain, you should be aware, old electronic require maintenance. Old electronic can fail at any time. We will work through the claim together until things are right. Fender Twin Reverb Guitar Amp vintage tube 69 great condition but speakers blown

Fender Twin Reverb Amp vintage tube 1969. This is an AS IS SALE. This is a beautiful Twin Reverb in really good condition, EXCEPT for the speakers. I believe these to be original speakers to the amp, but they are’blown’ and should be reconed or replaced. I play this amp often. It works perfectly using the extension speaker out to a my 2X12 speaker enclosure. This is the sound that everyone is looking to get… The true original Fender Twin Reverb sound. The Vibrato and Reverb both work perfectly. There is little to no noise in the amp, but as with any old amp like this, it would be smart to have a professional give it a maintenance once over and set the bias. But, like I said, I use this amp often, mainly to record guitars. I’m getting rid of it only because it is too big (and loud) for what I need now, so I’m going to get something smaller. The body of the amp looks good as you can see in the pictures, There are a few marks and cigarette burns on the top, but the still completely covers the amp with no breaks. The silver face fabric is still in great shape as well… There’s only one small spot that has a breach. The foot petal is not original. We bought that last year so it is not vintage. The amp serial number on the back stamped in the chasis says: A 18590. I researched this on-line to understand that means it was built in 1969. I’ve only had this amp for about 3 years. When I bought it, I didn’t play it for the first 3 months. When I finally actually played it, is when I realized both speakers were blown. I have a 2 X 12 speaker enclosure so I’ve always used it with that. These amps are REALLY LOUD. Whenever I play with my band, we are playing smaller rooms so I never have taken this amp to use it at a club. I has only been used for recording over the three years I’ve owned…. And I’ll be sorry to see it go. Let me know if you have any specific questions. RARE, ORIGINAL, WORKS GREAT! High Quality, American Made, Point-to-point wiring. This is a VINTAGE 1976 SANO SUPER NOVA STEREO TUBE AMPLIFIER. Designed to be used for guitar and I suppose accordion. It is complete and functions properly. Controls and inputs have been cleaned, no scratchy pots. Everything works as it should. The cabinet covering shows light wear. The grill cloth is in great shape. This is a solid, road worthy beast; weighs 65 lbs.. Each channel has volume, treble and bass controls. The stereo channel has a second input stage with treble volume and bass volume controls. There are push buttons to engage the reverb and tremolo for each/either/both channels. Made in the U. I honestly believe I was the first person to ever open the back of this amplifier. Nothing has been touched for 44 years. Original transformers, speakers, pots, electrical components, tubes, etc. From what I can tell the amp is completely original with the exception of one of the knobs. Power amp tube lineup… 2-GE 12AU7, Westinghouse 5U4GB rectifier, 2-GE 8417 power tubes. The preamp tubes are also all original… One United Electron 6FQ7 and the balance are USA General electric 9 pins (2-12AX7′s and 2-12AU7′s or 12AT7′s). This has the original 2 prong cord. The side of the fuse holder is damaged and you should consider replacing it if/when you decide to upgrade to a grounded power cord. The speakers are original to the amplifier. Square magnet, Eminence made, 67-7548 codes, so made the 48th week of 1975. Look like they could easily handle 50 watts a piece. This is definitely a clean amp. And I’m saying clean all the way up the volume dial. The 8417 power tubes are designed for high fidelity and that is exactly what you get. Full bass, rich midrange and crystal clear highs. Serious Jazz, acoustic electric and classic country players will love this amp. I would guess it puts out 50-60 watts. Rock and rollers should also consider this amp. This would make a great foundation for pedals if you want your sound to remain constant at all volumes. The tremolo and reverb are very well designed and rival that of the best Fender, Traynor or Ampeg from the same era. Vintage 1968/1969 Traynor Ysr-1 Custom Reverb Tube Amp El34 8 Ohm Tremolo 12ax7

For sale is a 1968/69 Traynor YSR-1. This amp is from the late 60′s. Its transformers look to be from 1968, but there is no database to decipher Traynor serial numbers(most info appears to be about YBA-1 amps which have a different system of serial numbers). Its serial number is S71306, so those that know more about Traynor history can weigh in. This YSR-1 has a choke which means it’s from the pre 1970 changeover to amps that no longer use a choke & have a totally different cabinet. The late 60′s version of the YSR-1 has the dual indicator jewel lights that go from red for Standby to green for Operate(on). The amp is missing the original Traynor faceplate, otherwise it’s in very good cosmetic condition. The earlier Traynor logo often broke, so many of 65-70 Traynor amps no longer have them. Some people often compare the YSR-1 to the more well known Traynor YBA-1, but they behave totally different in real world usage. For sure the tone stack isn’t quite the same. While the YBA-1 is based on a Bassman 5F6A, the YSR-1 seems closer to a 6G/”Brownface” type amp. The preamp of the YSR-1 has greater top end clarity with a bit less overdrive than the Traynor YBA-1. As a result, the YSR-1 is a great amp to use as a pedal platform. I own both YBA-1 & YSR-1 amps and prefer the YSR-1 a bit more to the YBA-1. The Traynor YSR-1 features 6 12AX7 preamp tubes with a pair of EL34 power tubes. The amp has an 8 ohm output with a power spec of 45-50 watts RMS. The amp features an Ampeg like reverb mixed with a Vox type pulsing tremolo. The amp has a burly & robust tone that ranges from an excellent clean sound at lower volumes to a biting overdrive when it’s pushed hard. This amp has been modded to have a master volume. The first two volume controls function as a pre-amp gain & master volume respectively rather than separate volume controls for Input 1 & 2. I thought about taking it back to stock, but this master volume mod makes the amp far more versatile. The amp can be set to have a bit more preamp gain that gives more shades of overdrive at lower volumes that many clubs ask bands to play at. Like an older Marshall, the two YSR-1 channels can be jumped to give the amp a fuller sound. In this instance t. He normal(1) & bright(2) inputs are jumped to give both signals at the preamp gain pot. Jumper cable will be included. I had the amp checked out by a tech a couple of months ago and it passed all tests. The circuit board still has many of the Philips “Mustard Caps” that are similar to the Mullard variants that were used in early Marshall amps. I have played the amp a bunch for the past couple of months and really do like this amp. I own 2 dozen amps, so something has to give. I used this amp either with a mid 60′s Fender Bandmaster 2×12 with late 70′s Celestion G12-80 or a Marshall 4×10 cab with late 70′s Celestion G10-50. Both cabinets work great with the amp, but I really love this amp driving the 4×10 best. No speaker cabinet will be supplied.
