Up for sale, a 1975 Fender Twin Reverb, freshly serviced and in perfect working order. This Twin is freshly retubed with a matched quad of Tung Sol 6L6s and lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. These tones are further complimented by a pair of vintage Fender-branded and Pyle-manufactured heavy duty ceramic magnet 12 speakers, which have a smooth, punchy, and surprisingly articulate sound. Perfect not only for guitar, the Twin is an excellent choice for any scenario where headroom is a must, performing equally well with a pedal steel or your favorite Rhodes piano. The circuit is very original, with only a few new capacitors necessitated in the preamp to keep the amp operating to original factory specs. All of the original Schumacher transformers date between 1974 and mid-1975, and the power supply has been professionally recapped with a combination of Ruby and F&T caps. All of the original CTS pots are present as well, dating to’75. The chassis has a clean faceplate and full compliment of original knobs. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is intact, and the pair of Pyle-manufactured 12 speakers have clean blue foil Fender labels on the ceramic magnets, with clean black frames and viable cones. The smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe is quite clean, as is all of the original hardware. The amp was at one time fitted with additional handles on the sides of then enclosure which have subsequently been removed. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Widely considered to be one of the greatest tube amps of all time, this Deluxe Reverb has a very original circuit that has been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. Stocked with new properly-biased EH 6V6 power tubes and a full compliment of new JJ preamp tubes, this Deluxe delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amps a mainstay in studios and on stages for decades. The amp has a clear and dynamic sound, delivering sparkling cleans that are a great effects pedal platform. The amp starts to saturate with smooth tube overdrive after about 5 on the volume dial, cascading into rich, lightly compressed crunch as you push the volume to 10. The Reverb is very lush with a long decay, and the tremolo has a strong pulse with an almost three-dimensional quality to the effect when you increase the intensity. The circuit is very original, with all of the stock Schumacher-made transformers (Fender’s primary transformer supplier in the Blackface era) dating to late 1965. The preamp is loaded with the full compliment of the original blue Ajax molded capacitors, a key ingredient in the dynamic, musical tone of Fender’s Blackface amps, and all of the original CTS pots are intact as well, with date codes from 1965. The power amp has been professionally recapped with F&Ts, and the preamp features a new bias cap and smaller bypass caps to ensure the amp is operating within original factory spec. All new caps have been carefully sleeved in their original Minimite wrappers for a flawless vintage look. A three-prong power cable has been installed as well. The original Oxford 12K5-6 12 speaker is intact, freshly reconed and a very rare speaker, used only in the Deluxe Reverb. The speaker has a clean black frame, Fender blue foil sticker on the magnet, and 1966 date stamp on the frame. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is mostly intact too. Cosmetically, the amp is very original, with stock smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. The amp was at one time fitted with tilt-back legs, and the small mounting holes for this hardware have been cleanly doweled on the sides of the cabinet. The lower back panel is original, while the top panel is a modern factory-spec replacement. All of the original hardware is present including the chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), corners, and raised Fender logo on the baffle. The original faceplate also shows sparingly little wear with bold graphics and stock witch hat knobs. The original two-button footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. Up for sale, a 1979 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch and a 100% original, untouched circuit. One of the last amps produced in the original Silverface run, this vintage Fender does everything you’d expect of your favorite mid-size vintage Fender combo, with a balanced, sparkly clean tone and just the right amount of headroom before giving in to smooth tube saturation and overdrive. There’s a reason why the Vibrolux is currently one of the most collectable and sought after vintage Fender amps, as it’s ideal for recording and also the perfect size for club gigs without overwhelming your bandmates. The balanced tone of the two original 10 CTS ceramic speakers matched with a tube rectified 6L6-based circuit simply can’t be beat! Add Fender’s famed tube driven reverb and tremolo on top and you have one of the best tube amp designs ever conceived. The circuit is untouched, with original Schumacher transformers that date to 1979. The CTS pots in the preamp are all intact, also dating to 1979, and the amp has just been given a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The original Mallory filter caps are intact and still viable, and while one cap shows minor leakage, all still function well and are left intact, given the pristine, original nature of the circuit. The speakers are the original pair of CTS 10 ceramic drivers with clean frames, original blue foil stickers on the magnets, and stamps on the frames from the 30th week of’79. The tube chart is fully intact inside the cabinet as well with crisp corners. The tubes consist of a brand new pair of Tung Sol 6L6 power tubes, the original Fender-branded 5U4 rectifier, and a near complete set of original Fender-branded, USA-made valves in the preamp as well. Cosmetically, the amp is very clean with original smooth black tolex silver sparkle cloth with a subtle blue stripe. The black tolex shows very little wear, and all of the stock hardware is intact aside from a brand new pair of sphinx glides (feet). The amp was at one time fitted with casters which have subsequently been removed. All of the turquoise text is bold and present on the Silverface faceplate, and all of the stock witch hat knobs are present too. The original two-button footswitch is included, along with a modern slip cover. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! 1980 Music Man 112RP Sixty-Five Vintage 1x12 Tube Amp with Reverb & Phasor

Up for sale, a 1980 Music Man 112RP Sixty-Five in exceptional condition and perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. Launched in 1975, Music Man was founded by former Fender Plant Manager Forrest White, former Fender Sales Rep Tom Walker, and Leo Fender himself, with their very first product being an amplifier known as the “Sixty Five”. Being a hybrid affair, this amp matches a solid state preamp to an all tube power section, in this case EL-34s, providing plenty of headroom, with the warmth and fullness of a tube power section that can get as gritty as you want when the tubes are cooking! Making that easier, the amp features a Hi/Lo power switch, which actually works differently than most in that it’s not a 1/2 power switch, but rather a control for how much plate voltage the power tubes see, giving you control over the clean headroom where “Lo” is similar to a typical amp, and “Hi” sends a colder bias to the tubes. Tonally, this amp is very much in Fender territory with bold, sparkly cleans and dynamic grit. A later iteration of the Sixty-Five platform, this “RP” variant features onboard Reverb and Phasor [sic]. The three-spring Reverb is lush with a long decay, and the Phasor has a low noise floor (given where the effect is placed within the circuit) and rich, swooping textures. The amp also features Treble and Bass boost switches which adjust frequency ranges outside the Bass/Middle/Treble knobs for, as the original Music Man manual puts it, the equivalent of five-band equalization. The circuit is clean and virtually untouched, and the Schumacher transformers date to early 1980. The original CTS pots date to the 14th week of 1980. The tubes are a pair of properly biased USA-made Sylvania EL-34s that have plenty of life left. The speaker is the original Eminence-made ceramic magnet 12 driver with a minty black frame and clean Music Man foil sticker on the magnet. Cosmetically, this amp is extremely clean, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. Naturally, there are a few minor scuffs and a touch of patina on the hardware, yet as the photos show this is a very well-kept vintage Music Man. The original two button footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions!
