Up for sale, a 1980 Fender Princeton Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. One of the very last genuine vintage examples from the original Silverface era of production, this Princeton Reverb has been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, the Princeton’s circuit delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is lush, and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The circuit retains the original pair of transformers manufactured for Fender by Schumacher, dating between late 1979 and the first weeks of’80. The preamp boasts a full complement of original blue molded capacitors, with a few new Sprague electrolytics to ensure optimal performance. The larger multi-section can cap in the power supply is still functioning as intended too. All of the original pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 50th week of’79. The tubes consist of a matched pair of JJ 6V6s with an JJ 5U4 rectifier and a bevy of modern valves in the preamp. The speaker is an era-correct Oxford 10J4 with a black frame and blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The speaker retains the original speaker harness as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender “F” cap. The tube chart is mostly intact. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe are present and notably well-kept. The original faceplate has plenty of shine with a full complement of witch hat knobs, and the hardware includes original chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and small raised Fender tail-less logo. This vintage Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 40 years of use. One of the best Fender mamps ever made I my and probably many other humble opinion. Clear and present cleans, and dial past 5 to start getting that natural Fender break-up. This amp is in mostly original form. Speaker and Reverb tank have been swapped. By looks, the speaker looks to be an Eminence, but I cannot tell for sure. It sounds good to my ears. The Verb tank is a monster MOD tank (see pic). It also appears a big capacitor has been replaced. I know of no others for sure. Original iron and tranny’s date it to’78. Amp plays and pushes air nicely. Minor blems, but tolex is in what I would call good shape for the age. I took a close mic’d vid of the amp being played to hear, and see it’s ready to go. I will pack this amp with great care, and insure it to a tee. Not in a hurry, but I have a Princeton problem and at least one or two need to move on and see more action. Here we have a beautiful vintage Fender Pro Reverb amplifier from 1966. Made in the USA. The Pro Reverb is a 2×12 all tube guitar combo amplifier. It is essentially half of a “Twin Reverb” It is a 40 watt amplifier and it sounds so sweet. The beauty of the Pro Reverb is you can turn it up to 6 or 7 for a gig or recording and get that sweet spot. The amplifier is in very very clean condition. So please take a look at all the photos and if you have any questions feel free to ask. There is some light seem splitting at the corners but no major tears or rips. The amplifier has been re-capped and also has had a 3 prong plug added and the death cap removed. The speakers are the original Jensen C12′s. One dates to 1965 and one dates to 1964. The faceplate on this amp seems to be a pre- CBS as it says “Fender Electric Instrument Co”. Most likely it was a leftover faceplate when this amp was built in 1966. The transformers and chassis serial number all date to 1966. The original foot switch is included but one of the buttons is a bit fussy. It works but can be intermittent. The amp has had a recent check up by our amp technician and has been given a clean bill of health. Now for the sound… What can we say really… It is a vintage Pro Reverb and it sounds sweet to the ears. You can really juice this one up and get the beautiful breakup that we all crave. This is a Fender Princeton Reverb Amp. The amp comes equipped with a factory Celestion Ten. This little amp sounds great. Classic Fender tone and vintage eye appeal! This one is in great condition. It has been played and enjoyed but has only very mild scuffs and signs of use. No tears or notable wear to the Tolex or grill cloth. Control panel is clean and bright. Amp fires right up and works as it should. Currently listed without footswitch which was misplaced. If it turns up, I will update the listing to show footswitch included. Up for sale, a 1973 Fender Twin Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order with a 100% original circuit. Loaded with a pair of unusual and early Eminence/Fender ceramic 12 drivers and a near complete set of original RCA tubes, this amp lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. Perfect not only for guitar, the Twin is an excellent choice for any scenario where headroom is a must, performing equally well with a pedal steel or your favorite Rhodes piano. The circuit is untouched, right down to the original power supply caps, and all of the original Schumacher transformers date between the 26th and 29th weeks of 1973. All of the original CTS pots are present as well, dating to’73. The chassis has a clean faceplate and full compliment of original knobs. The tube compliment includes three RCA 6L6s in the power section with one substituted Realistic-branded valve that does the part to round out the quad, while the preamp is outfitted with the full set of original matched RCA valves. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is intact, and the pair of Eminence-manufactured 12 speakers have clean brown/gold Fender labels on the ceramic magnets, with clean black frames and viable cones. These speakers are a prototypical pair for Eminence, aping the look of the earlier Jensens seen in Fender’s Blackface-era Twins, yet undoubtedly original, given the matching 1973 date stamps on the edges of the frames. The smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth is quite clean, as is all of the original hardware, save for an MIA set of tilt-back legs. Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. Widely considered to be one of the greatest tube amps of all time, this Deluxe Reverb was made very early in the second full year of production for this model, with a “Fender Electric Instruments” faceplate, no logo grill, and date codes firmly placing this amp at the very tail end of the Pre-CBS era. Stocked with a matched pair of fresh Tung Sol 6V6 power tubes, this Deluxe delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amps a mainstay in studios and on stages for decades. The amp has a sweet, balanced sound that delivers the top end sparkle and clarity characteristic of the best amps from Fender’s Blackface era. This amp is very dynamic, working as a perfect platform for effects pedals and while the treble response can twang with the best, there’s a smoothness to the top end that keeps the amp from ever sounding harsh. Turning it up past 4 on the volume dial, the amp begins to push into overdrive territory with light compression and plenty of sizzle. The Reverb is lush with long decay and the Tremolo has a strong pulse with an almost three dimensional quality to the effect when you increase the intensity. The circuit retains all of the original Schumacher-made transformers (Fender’s primary transformer supplier in the Blackface era) with date codes from mid-1964. All but one of the original CTS pots are intact, also with visible date codes from’64. The preamp features a host of modern Sprague Orange Drop capacitors, with smaller Sprague electrolytic caps and low-noise metal film resistors throughout. The power supply has been professionally recapped with high quality Sprague Atoms, and a three-prong cable has been installed too. The speaker is a vintage Jensen C12R ceramic driver which dates to the 18th week of 1963, factory spec for this model yet a more recent substitution. The speaker has a clean frame and small Jensen foil label on the magnet. The original tube chart is intact inside the cabinet, with the “Fender Electric Instrument Co” text matching the faceplate, retaining an “OB” date stamp which translates to February of 1965. Cosmetically, the amp is complete with the original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. The original grillcloth shows only light, uniform aging on the no-logo baffle, an early feature which only lasted through the first few months of’65. The original faceplate is quite clean and retains a full compliment of witch hat knobs, and the all-important Pre-CBS Fender Electric Inst. Text is present on the faceplate. The tolex shows only some requisite stray nicks and minor edge wear, and all of the original hardware including the handle caps, chassis straps, and sphinx glides (feet) is present. 1967 Fender Twin Reverb Blackface Combo Amplifier. This amp sounds outstanding and is the epitome of Blackface tones. It is all-original except for upgraded vintage 1972 CTS 12E18L speakers, a 3-prong power cord, replaced power supply filter caps, and new properly biased JJ power tubes. Everything else is original. Most parts actually date to 1966, while the power transformer dates to 1967. This was likely made very early 1967. There is zero hum. The reverb is lush and the vibrato works great. There is no static when adjusting any of the controls. This amp sounds excellent at both low and high volumes. Overall this vintage amp is in good working condition with typical cosmetic wear. The grill cloth has a few tiny tears and the tolex has some typical scuffs throughout, but nothing major. The faceplate is good and all lettering is visible, just some standard marks throughout. The handle works perfectly. A previous owner etched some letters on the back corner of the chassis but is barely visible. Most of the tube chart has peeled off. The original tilt back legs work perfectly. Includes the original 2-button Reverb/Vibrato footswitch in good working condition. The footswitch has typical marks from usage. Also includes the Fender slipcover in very good condition. Does not include any other accessories. The Twin was Fender’s original two 12-inch speaker tube amp launched in 1952. The original Twin was supplanted by the Twin Reverb in 1963 which has since earned a place as one of Fender’s most iconic amps. Starting in the late’60s, the Twin Reverb switched from Blackface to a Silverface style cabinet. The Silverface editions are less desirable.
