Vintage Sherwood S-1000 II Mono Tube Integrated Amplifier, Untested Parts. This Sherwood is mostly complete and would make a good candidate for restoration. Missing parts noted are two tubes inside the unit and one tube on the back panel. Also two feet are missing and one of the AC convenience outlets is either missing or pushed in. All knobs are present, but the brass insert for one of them fell off and is packaged separately. Included are 4x Brimar EL-84, untested. See photos for detail or condition. Vintage Sherwood S-1000 II 6L6GB Tube Integrated Amplifier. S-1000 II Tube Integrated Amplifier. This is the rarer 6L6GB version. Recently pulled from a custom made console system that appeared untouched since put together in the late 50′s. Comes as shown with all tubes 2 x Sylvania USA 6L6BG, 1 x. 6BA8A, 1 x GE Can 5Y3GT, 2 x Mullard UK 12AX7, 1 x Mullard UK 6267. Ideal for your mono system build. Made in the USA Sherwood gear of this era is highly regarded. Does not come with feet. Unfortunately the back top of the metal cabinet has also been cut to accommodate some additional wiring in the old console (see pic). Has been powered up carefully using a Variac and it is working and sounding good. No further testing has been done. See my other listings for the matching Sherwood tuner. Important, please read : this has 60 year old Electrolytic capacitors in it and at a minimum these should be replaced if you are looking to use this on a regular basis.
