This has been in storage at the former Smart Studios for years. The pots are 1967-68 date codes. It has 4 vintage new matching 6L6GC’s and all vintage preamp tubes. The original transformers are in clean condition. It has been gone through and is sounding incredible. An amazing looking and sounding amp. This will make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection. This Fender Tube Amplifier appears to be in very good condition considering it’s age. Everything looks to be original. The speaker is the original and works fine. For sale is a very clean 1979 (according to the original date on the transformers) Fender Princeton Reverb vintage silverface tube amp. We all know how good these sound and how rare they are becoming compared to the circuit board reissues – reverb and tremolo are killer! Since Ive owned it, the amp has been professionally cleaned, the reverb tank has been serviced, and a new grill cloth has been installed (the tolex on this amp was so clean that it was a mis-match with the ratty old grill cloth, so I replaced it). Per the previous owner, the amp had been serviced, recapped, and re-tubed as necessary. He installed a GE NOS coin base/coke bottle style rec. There were some slight mods done to enhance the depth of the tremolo and to allow for a slower trem rate. There was also a pot professionally installed to allow for easy biasing. The death cap was removed and a 3-prong power cord added. Overall, this amp delivers the traditional Fender warm, rich sound with that classic spank through the original CTS speaker. If youre reading this, you probably know what great amps vintage Deluxes are. Theres a reason theyre sought after classics. The Fender logo with no tail, no push-pull pot, and chassis serial number dates this amp to 1973. This amp was serviced by David Allen of Allen Amplification to get it ready for sale. David has a national reputation for amp design, building, and repair. It sounds great, and is ready to make beautiful music with your favorite guitar. There are new feet on the bottom. The Tolex is worn through on one of the top rear corners. There is some plating wear on the chassis straps and handle end caps. One of the knobs was missing, so I installed a replacement knob. The speaker is a Fender Eminence speaker. A past owner installed a pair of tweeters. They are unhooked and dont do anything. I left them in to block light from showing through the holes. Up for sale, a 1975 Fender Twin Reverb, freshly serviced and in perfect working order. This Twin is freshly retubed with a matched quad of Tung Sol 6L6s and lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. These tones are further complimented by a pair of vintage Fender-branded and Pyle-manufactured heavy duty ceramic magnet 12 speakers, which have a smooth, punchy, and surprisingly articulate sound. Perfect not only for guitar, the Twin is an excellent choice for any scenario where headroom is a must, performing equally well with a pedal steel or your favorite Rhodes piano. The circuit is very original, with only a few new capacitors necessitated in the preamp to keep the amp operating to original factory specs. All of the original Schumacher transformers date between 1974 and mid-1975, and the power supply has been professionally recapped with a combination of Ruby and F&T caps. All of the original CTS pots are present as well, dating to’75. The chassis has a clean faceplate and full compliment of original knobs. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is intact, and the pair of Pyle-manufactured 12 speakers have clean blue foil Fender labels on the ceramic magnets, with clean black frames and viable cones. The smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe is quite clean, as is all of the original hardware. The amp was at one time fitted with additional handles on the sides of then enclosure which have subsequently been removed. Up for sale, a 1979 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch and a 100% original, untouched circuit. One of the last amps produced in the original Silverface run, this vintage Fender does everything you’d expect of your favorite mid-size vintage Fender combo, with a balanced, sparkly clean tone and just the right amount of headroom before giving in to smooth tube saturation and overdrive. There’s a reason why the Vibrolux is currently one of the most collectable and sought after vintage Fender amps, as it’s ideal for recording and also the perfect size for club gigs without overwhelming your bandmates. The balanced tone of the two original 10 CTS ceramic speakers matched with a tube rectified 6L6-based circuit simply can’t be beat! Add Fender’s famed tube driven reverb and tremolo on top and you have one of the best tube amp designs ever conceived. The circuit is untouched, with original Schumacher transformers that date to 1979. The CTS pots in the preamp are all intact, also dating to 1979, and the amp has just been given a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The original Mallory filter caps are intact and still viable, and while one cap shows minor leakage, all still function well and are left intact, given the pristine, original nature of the circuit. The speakers are the original pair of CTS 10 ceramic drivers with clean frames, original blue foil stickers on the magnets, and stamps on the frames from the 30th week of’79. The tube chart is fully intact inside the cabinet as well with crisp corners. The tubes consist of a brand new pair of Tung Sol 6L6 power tubes, the original Fender-branded 5U4 rectifier, and a near complete set of original Fender-branded, USA-made valves in the preamp as well. Cosmetically, the amp is very clean with original smooth black tolex silver sparkle cloth with a subtle blue stripe. The black tolex shows very little wear, and all of the stock hardware is intact aside from a brand new pair of sphinx glides (feet). The amp was at one time fitted with casters which have subsequently been removed. All of the turquoise text is bold and present on the Silverface faceplate, and all of the stock witch hat knobs are present too. Up for sale, a 1970 Fender Musicmaster Bass 1×12 tube amplifier in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, featuring the original matching RCA tube set. While designed as a companion for the Fender bass of the same name, this Class A/B 6AQ5-powered tube amp has found favor with guitarists for its low wattage and sweet, dynamic tone. The open back cab and single 12 ceramic speaker produce a range of sounds from clean Fender sparkle to rich overdrive with the twist of a knob. Particularly valued for their usefulness in the studio, the Musicmaster Bass is one of the most popular and enduring circuits from the Silverface era. The circuit has just been gone through by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, and everything is working as it should, with the original RCA-branded 6AQ5 power tubes. Both the output and power transformers have 1970 date codes. The 12 CTS speaker has a very clean frame, original cone, and original round Fender label, with a date stamp on the edge of the frame from the 16th week of 1970. Cosmetically, the amp is quite clean and completely original, with stock smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe. On the polished aluminum faceplate, all of the blue lettering is present, and the original raised “Fender” logo is intact on the grill. All of the original hardware is present, including the rare Starcaster-style knobs only seen on the first iteration of this amp. Sure, there are a few small scuffs on the tolex and faint wear on the grill, but overall this is a very clean amp that would look great on stage or in the studio.
