1960 Fender Vibrolux Tweed Narrow Panel Vintage Tube Amp with Victoria Cover

Up for sale, a 1960 Fender Vibrolux in excellent condition and in good working order, well maintained and complete with the original Victoria Luggage cover! This amp is from the most desirable run of Fender tweed amps from the late 50s, with the “narrow panel” cabinet design and a tone that is quintessential vintage Fender. The circuit is completely original save for a recap with high quality electrolytic caps, featuring Sprauge Atoms in the power supply to keep the amp operating within original factory spec. With a complete vintage tube set (including matched Sylvania 6V6 power tubes), this amp delivers the classic tweed tone with incredible dynamics, harmonic richness, and tonal clarity. The amp stays surprisingly clean with just the right amount of overdrive and very tight bass response for an amp with the original Jensen 10 speaker. The tremolo is bias based, meaning that it turns the tubes on and off at a rate and intensity set by the controls, and has a nice strong pulse to it, with a smooth waveform that has a good amount of intensity and chop on tap. Aside from the aforementioned recap and one new CTS pot, the circuit is completely stock with original Triad transformers and the coveted yellow Astron tone caps still present. The clean tube chart has a “JB” stamp which dates to February of’60. The chassis is quite clean, with moderate patina on the chrome control plate. The majority of the original white lettering is intact, along with the stock chicken head knobs. The stock metal handle ends are intact along with a new leather handle that matches the style of the original. The stock gray two-prong power cord is still on the amp as well. The original alnico Jensen P10R 10 speaker is intact with a very clean green/blue frame, original bell cover, and clean Jensen label. The date code on the edge of the speaker frame translates to the 36th week of 1959. The original lacquered tweed is intact, showing light ambering and some minor scuffs and wear, primarily on the lower left corner of the enclosure and bottom of the amp. The original Oxblood grillcloth is clean and tight, with no snags or rips. This is a wonderful amp from one of Fender’s most famed eras, and both a perfect piece for a collector or a reliable gigging and studio machine! The original Victoria Luggage brown canvas cover is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Champ in excellent condition and in perfect working order, freshly serviced and complete with a full vintage tube set. Simple, elegant and clean enough to satisfy collectors and serious players alike, this vintage Champ boasts its original lacquered tweed and hallowed 5F1 circuit. It doesn’t get much more pure than the Champ, and this studio favorite delivers freakishly dynamic and glassy pure tube tone that can go from clean to fully saturated overdrive with a twist of the single knob. This particular Champ has been well cared for over the decades and is stocked with the original Oxford 8 speaker. The circuit has just been serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, with new filter caps sleeved in the original Minimite wrappers (all original caps included) The preamp retains the original yellow Astron tone capacitors. Both transformers are original, and the chassis itself boasts an extremely clean chrome faceplate with all of the original white silkscreen lettering. The original gray two-prong power cable is still installed as well. The original Stackpole pot dates to the 30th week of 1959, and the Oxford speaker dates to the 43rd week of the same year. Both the speaker frame and chassis have an “IK” stamp, which translates to November of 1959. The tubes are all vintage valves including a Tung Sol 6V6 power tube. Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed has ambered considerably, with some minor scuffs and wear around the lower right corner on the face of the enclosure in particular, but overall the tweed looks particularly great and uniformly aged, with original nailed in feet and even the original leather handle! Both back panels are original as well as the baffle, which retains the original oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe. Vintage Gibson Ranger GA-20T Tweed Guitar Tube Amp Amplifier 1962 (Ben Harper)

Years ago, Ben Harper had a gear page up on Reverb. I rolled some tubes. It sounds quite grand. I removed the chassis to find that it has been completely rebuilt top-to-bottom with new caps, etc. I did not do this but Ben Harper’s techs did. I have a statement from Ben Harper’s gear tech that this was used by him in the studio. In many ways it’s the perfect size amplifier – and the perfect sounding. If it sells for sells for this or around this I will let it go. There are others out there that have been for sale but the condition is often sketchy. This comes with the original foot switch and speaker. This one is built and ready to be enjoyed with no issues. The item “Vintage Gibson Ranger GA-20T Tweed Guitar Tube Amp Amplifier 1962 (Ben Harper)” is in sale since Saturday, September 29, 2018. 1956 Fender Deluxe Tweed Pre-CBS Narrow Panel Vintage Tube Amplifier 5E3 Circuit

Up for sale, a 1956 Fender Deluxe in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this amp delivers everything you’d expect from a classic and well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit is very original and only maintained as strictly necessary, balancing originality and functionality. The preamp features original Stackpole pots and carbon comp resistors, as well as all of the original yellow Astron tone caps. The power amp has been professionally recapped as well, and the new caps have been sleeved in the original Mighty Midget wrappers for a seamless vintage look. The original power transformer is intact, and the original output transformer has just been rewound by Mercury Magnetics and not pictured, but will be installed before the amp ships. The amp is loaded with a combination of newer and vintage valves, and all tubes have been tested and work optimally. The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 speaker with a clean teal frame and Jensen sticker. This speaker dates to the 41st week of’56, and retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “FI” stamp on the very clean tube chart, which translates to September of’56. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed and oxblood grillcloth show only light wear on the edges of the enclosure, with light ambering of the lacquer on the tweed, and some requisite minor scuffs and corner wear. Both back panels are original as well, along with the stock leather handle. It’s an example that will satisfy collectors and serious players alike, and the amp has recently been given a clean bill of health, ready for your next gig or studio session. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. For sale is an extremely rare 1st addition 1955 Fender Amp. This amp was made in honor of Leo Fenders friend Forrest White. I added a little bit of history below the main description. Production on these amps began in October 1955. The pots are dated the 41st week of 1955 which is October 1955. The serial numbers started at AS00001. This one is marked AS00014, making it the 14th one made. As you can see, it has not been cleaned, and is exactly as I found it. The exterior is nicer then most I have seen online. The inside is very dusty and crusty!! I think the whole thing would probably clean up pretty good!! It has three tubes, one 6V6GT, one 5Y3GT, and one 12AX7. From what I have read this is similar to the Princeton Tweed. I broke the original fuse while checking it as the amp did not work. I then noticed that the cord had a bad spot about 2 feet from the end. I put a new fuse in and taped the cord, and the tubes and red light both lit up. There is no sound, so a repair man will have to look at it. I did not attempt this as is it has an Asbestos heat shield connected to the back panel. To be honest Asbestos freaks me out!! By the way, I put the original fuse back in, so it will still need a new one. I was told it was most likely the filter caps, but that was only a guess. This is a non working project amp, so ask all questions! The amp is sealed up, and I will not be taking more pictures. Remember asbestos freaks me out. Thank you, and good luck!! On May 20, 1954, Forrest White joined Leo Fender and his burgeoning. Fender Electric Instrument Company. In Fullerton, California, as General Manager. In early 1955, an employee came into building #3 at the Fullerton factory and asked Forrest. What he wanted to do with the white nameplates that just arrived. He told the messenger to. Send them back because. Nameplates only came in brown or chrome. The brave messenger came back with, No, you dont understand; they are White. The employee proceeded to show Forrest the nameplates with his own name boldly inscribed. It would soon grace a studio amplifier model that Leo was developing for the new. Leo surprised Forrest that day; even as General Manager, White had no idea what Mr. Fender was up to, and that his boss had named this new line after him. Was born soon after the nameplate incident. Forrest White (photo) wrote that they received the first. Sales order, #402, for the new studio linea. White Amp Model 80. And a 6-String Lap. Steelon September 13, 1955. The units were constructed in October and November. Student standard guitar, but never. Put it into production. Fender: The Sound heard Round the World. Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Harvard in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The Harvard is a unique model, sitting just below the Deluxe in terms of output with two 6V6 power tubes, a substantially sized cabinet, and a single Jensen P10R alnico 10 speaker. The Harvard also has the distinction of being the only Tweed era Fender model name to not make the transition to subsequent Brown and Blackface amp series. Essentially a Vibrolux without the vibrato, the Harvard delivers on the promise of sweet tube saturation, and the extremely dynamic, harmonic rich tones which are a hallmark of the narrow panel tweed Fender amps. Outfitted with simple Volume and Tone controls, it’s easy to dial in everything from glassy cleans to tube overdrive with the twist of a knob. The cabinet size (noticeably bigger than the Champ and Princeton) adds a certain low end fullness to the tone as well, with great bloom to the notes and a richness that’s particularly evident when played with a humbucker-equipped guitar. The 5F10 circuit is extremely clean and well maintained, with new electrolytic caps sleeved in the original Minimite wrappers. The circuit is otherwise untouched, retaining the famed yellow Astron tone caps in the preamp, and stock CTS pots, carbon comp resistors, and cloth wiring as well. The original transformers are intact with a Triad power transformer and Schumacher output tranny. The faceplate is extremely clean, with shiny chrome and all of the original white silkscreened lettering intact (which was truly hard to capture in a photo, given the reflection from the chrome). The original Jensen P10R speaker is clean and intact, with a minty teal frame and stock foil label. The tube chart is present and quite clean as well, denoting the 5F10 circuit and also still featuring a cleanly stamped “IB” date code, which translates to February of 1959. Other impactful date codes include the CTS pots which date to the 6th week of’59 and the stamp on the edge of the speaker frame which dates back to the 49th week of 1958. The original lacquered tweed is intact and lightly ambered. A well kept example, this amp shows only a few moderate scuffs and minor wear on the corners and along the edges of the tweed pattern. The leather handle is original, and of particular note, the badge on the face of the amp is also original and reads “Fender Deluxe, ” having been mislabeled at the Fender factory. The Harvard is commonly referenced as the “Steve Cropper amp, ” having been used extensively by that artist to capture the tones heard with Booker T and the MGs on tracks like Green Onions, and on other notable hits like Otis Redding’s Dock of the Bay. It’s amazing the fullness and character that can come out of this small, 6V6 driven 1×10 Fender Harvard! Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely.
