This is the last year they were hand wired with almost all of it’s original parts in tact. A three prong cord was added for safety and 1K screen resistors were added to prolong the life of the EL34′s. Other than that it looks like 2 of the coupling caps were changed to Orange Drops. The outside of the amp has typical wear for a 44 year old amplifier. The amp sounds phenomenal and it will get LOUD! The inside of this one is CLEAN. Sounds great on rhythm or lead guitar too, even with my novice abilities. The more I play it, the more I want to keep it. I only hooked up an Xotic RC Booster and an EHX Cathedral pedal to it in the last few months with a cheap strat copy and I’m still in disbelief of the tones I was getting, I didn’t want to stop playing. It was very inspiring. On with the listing. I’m guessing whoever replaced the power cord forgot to put the plastic shroud on the fan but it doesn’t affect it working properly and is included. I’ve misplaced the screws for the back over the years but have found some that do the job nicely. Has new knobs on the front. Tested everything but the external amp and external speaker jacks and seems to be working great. I’ve never had any issues with it so far. Hasn’t been used much in the last 8-9 years but has been stored in my pet and smoke free home just mostly collecting dust as you can see from the pics. Sounds awesome although it looks rough. 6550 tubes glow nice and I think have plenty of life left. Has the appropriate 10 amp fuse which has never blown. Looks like the original schematic is tucked away inside the head. The power cord is old and worn and should probably be replaced. Circa 1965 incredibly rare northcourt five tube amp. You see the 30 models all over the place, but seldom these. These sound great cranked, as does this one. Two little speakers cranking out single ended el 84 goodness… What makes this one so good is it has separate bass and treble controls that are not seen on smaller amps… Usually just a tone control. Downsizing, so out it goes. 1 el84, tube rectifier, 12 ax7 preamp. Vintage Jackson Model JG2 50 Watt Tube Guitar Amp Works Great! Made in England This is a rare bird, as only 500 were made. Jackson had just done the Randy Rhoads Guitar, and then contracted Laney to build them a Randy Rhoads Amplifier. After the first batch due to mounting costs they scrapped the project and decided to just stay in the guitar market. This amp sounds like a hot rodded mix of a Marshall JMP and Plexi. The added gain comes from pulling the mid pot out which engages a midboost, and a 3 setting Orange style FAC knob to control how compressed you want the mids. Input one is the high gain channel and input two the clean channel, when plugged into input one you have control over both knobs to blend each channels distortion. When you plug into input two you just have the clean channel and input one knob is disabled. Everything from sparkling cleans to classic rock to classic metal tones. 50 watts powered by 2 El34s. This is an awesome. Specimen of the mighty Fender Bassman. Tube chart code OL – December 1965. 50 watts of killer Fender tone and fully serviced. Loaded with 2 Fender 12 drivers made by Eminence. Includes an excellent padded cover, probably a Tuki. I have an obsessively detailed process for cosmetically restoring vintage amps to near-new condition, average of 5-10 hours of effort. As with all my restorations, this amp is totally clean and functionally flawless after detailed service by one of the Southeast’s top vintage amp techs. Tons of clean headroom, but growls wonderfully when pushed. My strat and tele sound as Fender-y as it gets on this amp. Codes: 606-545, 606-539, 606-543, all 1965 originals. Matched set of JJ 6L6′s and GT pre’s. Pre’s have their aluminum covers. A matched pair of 1993 Fender-logo’ed 12 speakers made by Eminence. Excellent condition, killer tone. If something ain’t right – I fix it! I spare no effort or cost to pack the gear VERY carefully. I remove, label and bubble wrap power tubes. Make sure nothing is loose inside the cab. Heavy bubble wrap, then a generous layer of peanuts on all sides. I reuse packing to save the planet! I provide detailed instructions to reinstall the tubes and any other details needed.
