VINTAGE DYNACO DYNAKIT STEREO 70 TUBE AMP PERFECT WORKING/ SERVICED + 2 FAT XF1. Vintage Dynaco Dynakit Stereo 70 tube amplifier in excellent working condition. I bought this piece all dusty and without been used for years from a garage sale a few years ago, it had one broken tube. I took it to my local Audio Service guy he cleaned the whole thing , change some capacitors , add a new EL 34 tube and set the bias, bench tested for 2 hours or so and I got it back , I bought for new matched EL34 tubes , connected it to my Marantz 2270 receiver and my Klipsch speakers and have been using it 6 days a week , 6 hours a day for the last year and never had a problem , it sounds beautiful. I play Lps most of the day and I really enjoy it but it’s time to upgrade and need to find a home for it. I’m adding pictures of the old capacitors , the old tubes (two are MULLARD Fat Brown base EL34 Xf1 still good and the other two are old xf2 black base EL34 tubes) , the receipt for the service and a Manual I print out. This is the Vintage Alt Complete Stereo tube amplifier. What you need to do is just Plug & Play then enjoy it! The out put tubes uses 2 x EL34 tubes for stereo. Preamp uses 2 x 12AX7 tube while the rectify is 5U4 tube As you can see, it is very nice tube amplifier. There are 4 knobs for 2 channels. The first pair of 2 knobs are the volume and the tone for (L) channel while the other pair are the volume and the tone adjustments for (R) channel! There is a built-in ON/OFF switch inside knob. This is the stand-alone stereo tube amplifier. Please note that this tube amp was about 40/50 years old so nothing is guaranteed! It may be changed/modified for recap, resistors, tubes, wires, etc…. Inputs and outputs terminals (to speakers) were added for convenience. One fuse (1 A) was also added for safety. The handle bar(s) were added on both side too. Please see the photos. Vintage Rogers HG88 Mk2 Valve Amplifier. Refurbished inside including cabinet this is what they looked like back in the day. Fully working gives nice warm sound as you would expect from a vintage amplifier. In one of the photos you will see all the components I changed to get it working. I have disconnected all of the 3 double bias capacitors because they are toast I have marked them with black tape but left them in place to preserve the amps originality. Replacement bias capacitors are fitted underneath all 6 can be seen in the photos marked with a white arrow. The replacements I used are rubicon black gate (100uf at 50v) more than capable of doing the job. Because the previous owner had been using this amplifier with worn bias capacitors it has reduced the life output valves (ecl86)they could do with replacing in the near future. I will include speaker cable of studio grade 2 x 3 metres (1.5mm) in the sale. Any overseas buyers must contact me first.. It has been brought up to voltage with a variac and tested. All functions seem to work, but it is very scratchy when turning controls and will need further attention including a good pot cleaning. You may want to recap as well. I noticed no excessive heat other than the normal tube heat. No humming came through in the sound as I tested. I ran it for 45 minutes and then powered it down. It will be packed very carefully , bubbled, and double boxed with both cushioned protection for tubes, as well as foam board layers all around. Vintage Fisher 500-C tube FM Stereo receiver in excellent overall condition. Works well with no hum. Very clean chassis and faceplate as it was removed from a custom console; and was acquired from the original owner. Comes with original Service Manual. Inspection tag still on the cord. All brass knob caps are intact. Faceplate printing is great though there are a couple of nicks and scratches on the faceplate. Chassis printing show some wear and tape residue. Power switch works fine. Ive been running it for several days with no issues. All tone, volume & balance controls work fine. FM Stereo Beacon works on Auto; received several stations. Signal strength meter works. Dial illumination works on both sides. Phono and Aux work fine too. Audio is equal on both sides. It has been serviced sometime in its history as I see the black tube is wrapped in tape. I have no idea when the work was done but estimate years since its been last serviced, so plan on having it checked out by a qualified tech for daily use as this unit is well over 50 years old. So, while fully working, it may not be perfect, so consider this a repair or restoration project. I will have a video demonstration video available as proof of function.
