1979 Fender Vibrolux Reverb Silverface Vintage Tube Amp, Serviced with Ftsw, Cover

Up for sale, a 1979 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch and a 100% original, untouched circuit. One of the last amps produced in the original Silverface run, this vintage Fender does everything you’d expect of your favorite mid-size vintage Fender combo, with a balanced, sparkly clean tone and just the right amount of headroom before giving in to smooth tube saturation and overdrive. There’s a reason why the Vibrolux is currently one of the most collectable and sought after vintage Fender amps, as it’s ideal for recording and also the perfect size for club gigs without overwhelming your bandmates. The balanced tone of the two original 10 CTS ceramic speakers matched with a tube rectified 6L6-based circuit simply can’t be beat! Add Fender’s famed tube driven reverb and tremolo on top and you have one of the best tube amp designs ever conceived. The circuit is untouched, with original Schumacher transformers that date to 1979. The CTS pots in the preamp are all intact, also dating to 1979, and the amp has just been given a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The original Mallory filter caps are intact and still viable, and while one cap shows minor leakage, all still function well and are left intact, given the pristine, original nature of the circuit. The speakers are the original pair of CTS 10 ceramic drivers with clean frames, original blue foil stickers on the magnets, and stamps on the frames from the 30th week of’79. The tube chart is fully intact inside the cabinet as well with crisp corners. The tubes consist of a brand new pair of Tung Sol 6L6 power tubes, the original Fender-branded 5U4 rectifier, and a near complete set of original Fender-branded, USA-made valves in the preamp as well. Cosmetically, the amp is very clean with original smooth black tolex silver sparkle cloth with a subtle blue stripe. The black tolex shows very little wear, and all of the stock hardware is intact aside from a brand new pair of sphinx glides (feet). The amp was at one time fitted with casters which have subsequently been removed. All of the turquoise text is bold and present on the Silverface faceplate, and all of the stock witch hat knobs are present too. The original two-button footswitch is included, along with a modern slip cover. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. Up for sale, a 1970 Ampeg B-15N Portaflex tube amp in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original trolley and cover. The B-15N is one of the most recorded and highly regarded tube bass amp circuits of all time, and this classic four-input vintage model delivers the goods through the original 15 Eminence ceramic magnet speaker. Manufactured in the USA by Ampeg at their Linden, NJ factory and just given a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, the amp is powered by a matched pair of properly biased Tung Sol 6L6GC power tubes. Notable for the addition of Ultra-Hi and Ultra-Lo rocker switches for each channel not found on earlier iterations, this B-15N has surprising output given its modest power and excels at a dynamic and detailed tone that can be extremely warm, or distinct and bright. Paired with a Precision Bass, it’s the perfect recipe for Motown thump. The original transformers are both present, and the preamp is virtually untouched, with original CTS pots and visible date codes from the 21st week of 1970. Along with the Tung Sol 6L6 power tubs, the amp features a combination of modern and vintage octal preamp tubes as well as a vintage Mullard GZ34 rectifier. The stock Eminence speaker has a clean frame and date code from the 13th week of 1970. The cabinet retains the original smooth black tolex, silver sparkle grillcloth, and Ampeg badge. The faceplate retains virtually all of the original blue pinstriping, along with a full compliment of original knobs. Wear on the cabinet is limited to minor scuffs and light edge wear, and all original hardware is included and viable including the shockmounts for the head and original latches. As the photos show, this B-15N would look great in a studio. The original screw-on trolley is included, along with the original cover (not pictured). Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1957 Fender Princeton Tweed Vintage Tube Amp Narrow Panel Big Box with Cover

Up for sale, a 1957 Fender Princeton in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This narrow panel tweed amp has absolutely stunning and virtually un-ambered original tweed, and is one of the more impressive golden-age Fender amps to come through our shop of late, complete with the original Victoria Luggage brown canvas cover. With its narrow panel configuration, this Princeton is considered the “big box” version, with a cab that’s far larger than the single 8 alnico speaker requires, and the resulting sound is deceptively round and rich for the relatively small speaker size. The circuit couldn’t be more simple and pure, with single Volume and Tone knobs and a Class A circuit design, powered by a single 6V6 power tube. The tone is articulate, dynamic and commanding, with the sizzle and churning overdrive of a Champ, but with more tonal range and fuller low end. The top end response is just right, and the amp doesn’t get too trebly, making the tone control quite usable for dialing in exactly as much zing and snap as you desire. The circuit is very original and only serviced as necessary for optimal functionality, retaining the original Triad transformers. The original Stackpole pots, carbon comp resistors, and yellow Astron capacitors are intact, with the pots dating to the 41st week of 1956. The power supply caps and smaller electrolytics have been replaced with high quality modern Spragues. The tubes are all vintage valves with a “coke bottle” Westinghouse 6V6, Phillips 5Y3 rectifier, and UK preamp tube of indeterminate origin. The speaker is an era-correct Oxford 8 driver which has been professionally reconed and dates to’59 with a very clean gray frame and stock wiring harness with RCA end. The tube chart is notable for its well-preserved condition, with perfect corners, handwritten serial number, and “GG” date stamp which translates to July of 1957. There is barely any ambering of the original tweed, with only a few minor scuffs on the bottom corners. The faceplate is extremely clean, with all of the white silkscreened font, shiny chrome, and a pair of original chicken head knobs. This amp is a true rarity given its condition, and this particular example has been carefully tested and inspected to ensure originality and ideal functionality. The original brown canvas Victoria Luggage cover is included. The cover has some loose stitching and isolated spots of missing trim, but still presents well. The face of the Zig Zag wrapper papers man is also stenciled on one side of the cover. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. Up for sale, a 1960 Fender Princeton in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This narrow panel tweed amp is one of the nicer golden-age Fender amps to come through our shop. With its narrow panel configuration, this Princeton is considered the “big box” version, with a cab that’s far larger than the single 8 alnico speaker requires, and the resulting sound is deceptively round and rich for the relatively small speaker size. Complete with the original Victoria Luggage canvas cover, this amp is a remarkable find with well-preserved tweed. Actually a pairing of two different tweed-era Princetons, the exceedingly clean cabinet with original lacquered tweed, leather handle, logo, oxblood grill, and tube chart dates to 1956, while the chassis itself has components dating from late 1959-early 60. The circuit is completely untouched, and the original Schumacher transformers which date to the 44th week of’59 (output) and 12th week of 1960 (power). The original Stackpole pots, yellow Astron capacitors, and even the original filter caps are all present. As a testament to the construction of these amps, it has never needed to be serviced. The power tube and 5Y3 rectifier are both Sylvania valves, while the single 12AX7 in the preamp was manufactured by Tung Sol. The original two-prong gray power cable has been upgraded to a black, grounded three-prong. The speaker has a very clean gray frame, original cone, and stock cloth wiring harness with RCA end. The tube chart is notable for its well-preserved condition, with perfect corners and clearly written serial number. There is light ambering of the tweed, with a few exceedingly minor marks and scuffs, and wear mostly relegated to the bottom corners of the enclosure. On the bottom, there is some staining from the rubber feet in a ring around the sphinx glides. The faceplate is very clean, with all of the white silkscreened font, shiny chrome, and a pair of original chicken head knobs. This amp is a true rarity, given its condition, and this particular example has been carefully tested and inspected to ensure originality and ideal functionality. 1974 Fender Twin Reverb Vintage Silverface Tube Amp Near Mint with Cover, Manual

Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Twin Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch, cover, manual, and schematic. A pristine vintage amp that’s extremely original and just given a clean bill of health from our techs, this Twin is freshly retubed with a matched quad of JJ 6L6s and lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. These tones are further complimented by a pair of original Utah 12 speakers, which have a smooth, punchy, and surprisingly articulate sound. The circuit is very original, with a virtually untouched preamp and original Schumacher transformers that date to 1974. The bias circuit has been simplified and reverted to an earlier Fender wiring scheme with a true bias pot as opposed to “bias balance” between the tubes. This provides a greater range for ensuring optimal tube life and plate voltage. All of the original CTS pots are present as well, dating to’74. The chassis has a gleaming faceplate and full compliment of original knobs. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is pristine, and the pair of Utah 12 speakers have immaculate black frames and original blue foil Fender stickers. The smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe is near mint, as is all of the original hardware. The stock set of casters is present too. The original slip cover is included, with “Fender” silkscreened in silver, along with the original two-button footswitch, manual, schematic, and envelope for said paperwork. The envelope has “TR” stamped on it, denoting that it was specifically marked for a Twin Reverb. This Twin is a stunning, time-capsule piece sure to delight serious collectors and an ideal candidate for a studio. It’s a fully serviced, turn-key vintage amp! Vintage Knight KB-85 Tube Amplifier with TOP CAGE COVER EL37 5AR4 12AX7 fr Rebuild

Up for sale here is this rare vintage Knight KB-85 tube amplifier. This normally runs 4 EL37 output tubes, two 5AR4 (GZ-34) rectifier tubes, two 12AX7 tubes, and two EF86 tubes. This includes two 12AX7s, two EF86s, four 5881 output tubes, but no 5AR4s, sorry. The EF86s and 12AX7s are untested but will probably work fine, but the 5881s are pretty worn-out and will need replacing. The two metal tube covers are included. This is in great shape with light to moderate overall wear, with absolutely beautiful chrome. The extremely rare top cage/cover is included. It has the Knight badge on one side. The cover does have some rust on it, but since the top part of the cover is removable it would be pretty easy to sand down and repaint it. This is currently in non-working condition. Other than the tubes, this appears to be completely original–the previous owner told me that this blew the fuse at least 30+ years ago and was just set aside at the time. Please see my pictures for details. If you have any questions, please ask. I have a number of other vintage tube amplifiers and other vintage electronics listed–feel free to take a look! The item “Vintage Knight KB-85 Tube Amplifier with TOP CAGE COVER EL37 5AR4 12AX7 fr Rebuild” is in sale since Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order with the original Victoria Luggage cover, factory booklet, and complete vintage tube set. Extremely clean cosmetically, this collector-grade vintage Blackface Fender amp is a real stunner. The Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, and the Fender AA764 Blackface circuit delivers both well balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is extremely lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The chassis itself is very clean, with all original transformers dating to early’66. All of the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps are intact in the preamp (an essential part of the Blackface sound), and the original filter and bypass caps are still viable. The power cable is the original two-prong variety too. All of the original CTS and Stackpole pots are intact, dating back to’66. The tubes are all ostensibly original and a drool-worthy compliment, with a matched pair of gray plate RCA 6V6s, an Amperex 5AR4 rectifier and preamp tubes from the likes of Mullard and RCA. The speaker is the original Jensen C10Q, with a clean frame, original cone and gold/brown Fender label on the ceramic magnet. The speaker retains the original harness as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender “F” cap. The tube chart is very clean, with a “PF” date stamp from June of 1966. As the photos show, the original black tolex is extremely clean, and the original silver sparkle grillcloth shows sparingly little aging, retaining the raised Fender logo. All of the original hardware is intact and gleaming. This vintage Blackface Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 50 years of use! The original Victoria Luggage black vinyl cover is intact and a snug fit, and while the cover does have a couple repaired tears on the back, it has no loose edges or rips at present.
