Up for sale, a 1960 Fender Vibrolux in excellent condition and in good working order, well maintained and complete with the original Victoria Luggage cover! This amp is from the most desirable run of Fender tweed amps from the late 50s, with the “narrow panel” cabinet design and a tone that is quintessential vintage Fender. The circuit is completely original save for a recap with high quality electrolytic caps, featuring Sprauge Atoms in the power supply to keep the amp operating within original factory spec. With a complete vintage tube set (including matched Sylvania 6V6 power tubes), this amp delivers the classic tweed tone with incredible dynamics, harmonic richness, and tonal clarity. The amp stays surprisingly clean with just the right amount of overdrive and very tight bass response for an amp with the original Jensen 10 speaker. The tremolo is bias based, meaning that it turns the tubes on and off at a rate and intensity set by the controls, and has a nice strong pulse to it, with a smooth waveform that has a good amount of intensity and chop on tap. Aside from the aforementioned recap and one new CTS pot, the circuit is completely stock with original Triad transformers and the coveted yellow Astron tone caps still present. The clean tube chart has a “JB” stamp which dates to February of’60. The chassis is quite clean, with moderate patina on the chrome control plate. The majority of the original white lettering is intact, along with the stock chicken head knobs. The stock metal handle ends are intact along with a new leather handle that matches the style of the original. The stock gray two-prong power cord is still on the amp as well. The original alnico Jensen P10R 10 speaker is intact with a very clean green/blue frame, original bell cover, and clean Jensen label. The date code on the edge of the speaker frame translates to the 36th week of 1959. The original lacquered tweed is intact, showing light ambering and some minor scuffs and wear, primarily on the lower left corner of the enclosure and bottom of the amp. The original Oxblood grillcloth is clean and tight, with no snags or rips. This is a wonderful amp from one of Fender’s most famed eras, and both a perfect piece for a collector or a reliable gigging and studio machine! This is a Peavey Classic 50 Tweed head from the mid 90′s. It is an incredible amp. When you turn it up it gets even better. If you throw a Tube Screamer in front of the lead channel… You can get some great 70′s rock tones aka Van Halen, Tom Petty, 38 Special, Journey….. Anything Bluesy or Classic Rock from the 70′s and 80′s is right in the sweet-spot of this great amp head. The Clean channel is very American Fender-like. Perfect for SRV stuff like Riviera Paradise. I do not have the user’s manual. Peavey has it available on their website and you can download it. Original box is not included either. These Peavey Heads are extremely reliable, and durable. The Tweed tolex is in pretty good shape, although it does have a few dings and scratches which I have shown (See Photos). The tubes are still good. The Caps and pots are working fine. The FX loop works good too. I removed a lot of rust from the mirror faceplate and some of the numbers in white around the Black Chicken-head knobs has worn off… And it did leave little rust “bumps” on there as shown (See Photos). The handle is a little worn as you can see in the photos as well. Overall this Peavey Classic 50 is in good shape for an amp 20+ years old. Please look at all of the photos to evaluate it’s overall condition. Here is some more info. Stunning HH Scott 222c Vintage Tube Amplifier. 4x 7189 Telefunken Vintage. 4x ECC83 12AX7 Telefunken Vintage. 1x GZ34 Mullard GT Britain Vintage. Superb visual condition – look at the face, knobs, inside chassis! Slowly powered on through my variac, brought up to full levels over a couple of hours. Plays music, sounds sweet and warm HOWEVER, this is capacitor hum. Plan on doing a servicing to this amp. When playing, the music itself is superb, however caps are in need of replacing, and perhaps other parts need checking/replacing. Cover is included, as well as original manual. I will pack super safely – removing the cover, wrapping it separate, removing tubes and bubble wrapping them. Placing the amp in a box by itself with bubble wrapping galore. Double boxing the entire package and insuring. While this amp needs servicing, look at the visual condition. Original knobs, cover etc. Once of the nicest visual examples of a vintage HH Scott Integrated Stereo Tube Amplifier I’ve ever seen. Appears to have been kept on a shelf most of its life. Up for sale, a 1971 Fender Super Reverb in near mint, collector grade condition and in perfect working order. Complete with its original Victoria Luggage vinyl cover, two-button footswitch, schematic, and Fender catalog, this Super Reverb is as nice as they come. Serviced only sparingly to ensure optimal tone and reliability, this amp has been reverted to Pre-CBS AB763 specs. Able to deliver huge cleans and incredible power like few other Fender’s can, this Super Reverb is loaded with its original quad of CTS alnico speakers. The amp is dynamic, detailed, and able to hold its own in any ensemble, boasting both lush tube driven spring reverb and a vibrato circuit that has a wide range of speeds and everything from a subtle pulse to machine gun chop. The circuit is very original, and all of the stock Schumacher transformers date to the first weeks of 1971. All of the CTS pots are stock as well (also dating to early’71) and the preamp is virtually untouched aside from new grid resistors and a couple bypass caps to keep everything operating within factory spec and as designed for the AB763 circuit. The main filter caps have been replaced with high quality Sprague Atoms to ensure years of future trouble-free use and the amp has been fitted with a three-prong power cable. The power tubes are a pair of vintage 7581s which are a more robust version of a 6L6 able to deliver more headroom and handle higher plate voltages. The preamp tubes are an assortment of mostly vintage valves by RCA and General Electric. The original CTS speaker quad features minty black stamped frames, 1971 date codes, and original blue foil Fender stickers on the alnico magnets. Three of the speakers retain their original cones, and the fourth has been professionally reconed with identical parts for a consistent tone. The tube chart is intact on the inside of the cabinet with crisp corners and only lightly aged paper. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are near mint, as is the original silverface faceplate with flawless turquoise text. All of the stock hardware is accounted for including the chassis straps, corners, handle caps, tilt back legs, raised “Fender” logo, and sphinx glides (feet). The amp comes complete with its original Victoria Luggage cover. This cover shows some loose stitching and wear along the bottom third of the cover, and the “Super Reverb” text is faded, but present. The two-button footswitch is extremely clean, as is the included manual, schematic, and envelope for the paperwork (stamped “SR” in the corner to mark the amp model) are in great shape. Amp is in very good to excellent condition with original wheels for easy transporting. This is a 50 Watt tube amp with 2-6L6 / 2-12AX7 / 1-12AT7. Tubes are all in great shape with plenty of life to them. Tolex is in great shape and this does not look to even been gigged with. The original grill cloth is in great shape as can be seen in the pictures. Speakers are original and it sounds great for bass or guitar. Serial number is A70716 which dates this to 1977.
