Looks like NOS but hard to say. One of the PCB boards has a slight bend which is just cosmetic. Very sweet sounding little amp that holds its own against much bigger amps! Sweeter sounding then bigger brother ST-70. I have two so one must go.

Both channel are balanced and loud… Please note: This amp is over 50 plus years old, it may needs some upgrades. It has some light pitting and rust on the body considering it’s age. All the parts are original Dynaco’s excluding the tubes…. It comes with the original manual, Schematic, quad realistic lifetime 6CA7/EL34, 7199 x 2, GE 5AR4 vintage tubes. Eico HF-81 Stereo tube integrated amplifier. All electrolytic and formed capacitors have been replaced with a mix of Solen, Orange drop and Panasonic capacitors. All front controls have been cleaned and treated with Deoxit products as well. The tubes in the unit have all been tested, Mullard Blackburn EL84 quad that test at 75% life for the output section. The preamp section consists of a mix of (2) Amperex Bugle Boys and Amperex branded globe tubes. Rectifiers are Mullard originals. The Front brass face plate was removed and stripped of the old yellowing clear coat, buffed out and coated with 3 coats of Carnauba wax. The unit underwent a 4 hour bench demonstration running through PSB monitor speakers. At this time all necessary adjustments were completed. A very musically pleasing amp that will definitively please the discerning listener when mated with a moderately efficient pair of speakers. Original owner/ service manual is included with the sale. The outside cabinet does show some signs of age discoloring of the bronze paint, but does not distract from the look of this historical amplifier. The HF-81 fed it all back to me-I heard the synergy, felt the music-just the way a single-ended amp delivers. It was amazing-and to ice the cake, the HF-81 didn’t soften the bass or roll off the top. It was as if I’d taken a Krell, a Spectral, and an Ongaku amp, put them all in that transporter pod in The Fly, then thrown the switch and opened the second pod and, presto -the HF-81. I unconditionally recommend that you find an EICO HF-81, restore it, and hear for yourself what the fuss is all about. 12AX7-12 for the first stage AU7-6GU7 (1 2BH7 similar tube)-6240 G, and the end stage is a KT88 made in China. The operation has been checked with TV7 and it is unused. So, the sound is coming out without any problem as it is now, but the KT88 is not a problem. The KT88 is a bonus. The life of the vacuum tube has been checked by TV7 before the sale, so I think it can be used for a long time. However, the neon pilot lamp of one of the tubes is broken and does not light up, although it does not affect the sound. The plate current of the KT88 is adjusted to 50ma. I can give you a copy of the manual (excerpt) of the A3000 (kit version) as a reference when replacing the output tube. International Buyers – Please Note. This is a nice amplifier. It has some scratches on the cabinet but looks good overall, particularly the faceplate with really looks great. Also included in the sale is a reproduction of the manual. With a line voltage of 230VAC, the plate voltage sat at 1850VDC in CW position. With 45 watts keyed-down on 40 meters we measured 500 watts out, which is about right as the manual calls for 1000W PEP and we can assume 50-60% efficiency. The tubes are getting extremely hot (orange in color) when we put the amp into high-voltage position. The L-4B was originally designed to only work with Drake equipment. This one has since been modified to work with other transceivers, and we used an IC-706MKIIG when testing rather than Drake equipment. Perhaps this won’t happen when using Drake gear? Bias current may need to be adjusted. There may be something else going on that we aren’t aware of. This item will be packaged using our InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection! Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Twin Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch, cover, manual, and schematic. A pristine vintage amp that’s extremely original and just given a clean bill of health from our techs, this Twin is freshly retubed with a matched quad of JJ 6L6s and lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. These tones are further complimented by a pair of original Utah 12 speakers, which have a smooth, punchy, and surprisingly articulate sound. The circuit is very original, with a virtually untouched preamp and original Schumacher transformers that date to 1974. The bias circuit has been simplified and reverted to an earlier Fender wiring scheme with a true bias pot as opposed to “bias balance” between the tubes. This provides a greater range for ensuring optimal tube life and plate voltage. All of the original CTS pots are present as well, dating to’74. The chassis has a gleaming faceplate and full compliment of original knobs.
