Vintage Tube Amp

Offering a Pair of Stromberg Carlson Tube Amplifiers. The units use 2- 6L6 Power Tubes (Not Included). 2- 12AX7′s Not Included. 3- 12AU7′s Not Included. Made in the U. Both units are intact and have been tested. I brought both units up slow on my Variac and cleaned all switches. One unit works pretty good with decent sound, but I feel it could be better with a recap. The other unit was working for a while with a very loud hum and faint sound, but now it has no output at all, it’s dead quiet. Unit powers fine and all tubes light up. I have not done any further testing and at this point. Check out the pictures for a look at cosmetics and the underside. Both units come with Schematic attached to the bottom panel. Vintage PANaramic combo tube amp made by Audio Guild Corporation in Van Nuys, California. Really nice original condition. Tolex and front screen in good clean condition. Barks out that Califorinia surf sound with it’s vintage Reverb and Vibrato. Totally 60′s sound. Large amp measures 33″ Tall and 26″ Wide. Comes with original Utah Alnico Speakers (12″ & 8″). Up for sale, a 1988 Marshall Studio 15 tube amplifier in excellent condition and in perfect working order. An uncommon Marshall model and one of the true hidden gems of the company’s’80s offerings, the Studio 15 has an unconventional 6V6 power tube compliment that delivers an envious array of classic Marshall tones. The cleans are smooth and dynamic, and the gain is absolutely roaring, with sizzle and bite that is characteristically closer to a Plexi than a JCM800. The controls are simple and straightforward, with a Gain knob, three bands of EQ, and an Output Level control so the player can balance cleans and grit at the desired volume. And even with the master volume in the lower part of its range, the amp still retains low end muscle and fullness. The original Celestion Vintage 30 is intact, with a BX prefix date code that translates to February of 1988. All of the original transformers are present and the amp is very clean cosmetically, with no wear of note. Up for sale, a 1964 Standel Custom 83L15V vintage guitar amplifier in excellent condition and in good working order. A rare amp which Standel advertised as “Transistorized, ” this rare and complete model actually has an all tube power section with an additional 12AX7 and a solid state preamp. An early marriage of solid state and tube technologies (and many would argue one of the most effective and elegant), this amp is extremely robust and clear, with round crystalline clean tones thanks in part to the stock JBL D130F 15 speaker. Perfect for pedal steel and able to retain remarkable headroom at high volumes, the 83L15V has become a favorite of pedal steel players. The amp is stocked with a pair of vintage and likely original RCA 6GT5 power tubes which still sound great, and the original JBL speaker has a nearly spotless gray frame. The tremolo module is intact, yet has been bypassed in the circuit (common with these epoxy covered modules) and the circuit otherwise functions exactly as intended. This amp is extremely hard to come by in any condition, let alone the cosmetically stunning and well kept example seen here which has particularly nice chrome, clean tolex and grill, and all of the original knobs. VINTAGE Supro 16T Guitar Amp. In the late 1960s and the early 1970s Jimmy Page selected the Supro as his main studio amp, why? Its only 5 watts so you are not going to be able to over power a drummer like John Bonham. I think he choose the Supro because it is one of the best guitar amplifiers ever made. Jimmy Page loved great guitar tone and he knew how to get it, after all he was a studio session guitarist before he formed Led Zeppelin. The Tube rectifier makes your guitar sound like you are recording with an LA2A compressor. Thick creamy tones when driven hard and big cutting edgy tones when you back off on the volume. This is very simple amp that sounds good with any pedal and at any volume setting. I would go as far to say that is a classic amp as the plexi is a classic amp. However for some reason the price on these amps is much more reasonable than other classics. Most likely due to the fact that the masses dont realize a lot of their favorite guitar heroes tones were recorded with these smaller amps in the studio. Preamp: 2 x JJ Electronics ECC83 (12 AX7). Rectifier: 1 x Vintage 1960s RCA 5Y3. Power: 1 x Vintage 1960s RCA 6V6. The tone knob sometimes makes noise when turned, and can cause the amp to sound broken (this is a temporary problem fixed by turning the knob again). It is probably not just a dirty pot, the pot most likely worn however it works fine and sound great if you twist it again or just leave it set to the setting you like. In addition One knob is not original, however it is vintage. The screen print which identifies the inputs has worn off. It looks like it has been well played was not a stay in the bedroom amp, this amp has definitely been gigged with and looks beat up. Still, I would say over all this amp is in great condition and sounds amazing. The grill board hole was not modifed for the replacement speaker, so it technically does not cover the hole perfectly and the screws are not vintage correct, however it functions well and sounds great. Actually sounds better than the original speaker. This amp is around 50 years old and definitely shows its age as you would expect. The Power tubes are authentic vintage RCA and are in perfect condition, there is no other way to get that sound. It looks old and a very worn with rips on the cover and tears on the grill, just what you would expect and want in a vintage amp. No APO or PO Box. Thank you for your consideration. Up for sale here is this vintage Precision Electronics S10 tube amplifier, from 1970. It uses 4 tubes, all of which are included and are untested but seem to work fine. It uses 2 EL84/6BQ5 output tubes (one RCA, one Made in Japan and probably Matsushita), one 6CA4 rectifier (RCA I think), and one 6EU7 tube (RCA). I did not replace any of the tubes. This is supposed to have a 6V4 rectifier in it, not a 6CA4, so you may want to replace it. I don’t have any 6V4 tubes or I would have. I brought this up on a Variac, and it plays well and sounds incredible. I believe it is about 10 watts, hence the “S10″ name. It has taps for 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 16-ohm, 25v, and 70v outputs. I took a look underneath and this appears to have been updated with a few new parts at some point–I see what looks like a new cap and a new resistor. This would probably be pretty easy to convert into a guitar amplifier, and I’m sure it would do amazing things. Cosmetic condition is pretty good–this has a little wear here and there, and is missing the round badge from the front unfortunately. Otherwise it looks nice. Please see my pictures for details.
