Extremely well cared for and adored. Original Jensen C-10R Speakers. Original Made in USA Tubes Mostly RCA’s. Changed to 3 prong Power Cord. Made in April 1964. Original Tilt back legs have been rechromed. All other hardware, chassis straps and corners have been changed. Re-tolexed by the expert near Austin Texas. It had a 4 inch wide piece torn off the bottom of the cabinet. New filter caps under the “doghouse”. All other caps inside chassis appear to be original. I had one just like this when I was 15. IT sounds the same with a Stratocaster! Functionally it is superb super reverb. I’d prefer you contact them directly after the sale. Even though insured, where you gonna get another one like this? Third option to pick it up in Tulsa. As far as 150 miles from Tulsa. A reputable technician just informed me this is a pretty rare early Super Reverb. It is an AB 763 wiring circuit but a1963 early production faceplate. As it was made in early 1964. There is no outline in white around the bright switches. Up for sale, a 1985 Mesa Boogie Mark III “Black Dot” head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. From the first year of Mark III production, this long box Mesa head features original white bronco tolex and the tell-tale black dot on the back of the chassis noting the factory tweaks made to this particular Mesa, namely resulting in incredible headroom and more clean punch than later versions. Everything from bold cleans to smooth overdrive to thick searing crunch is available from the Mark III with every push pull option and trick in the book for maximum versatility and tonal tweakage. The circuit retains the original transformers, and the stock fan and reverb pan are present as well. The amp is stocked with a matched quad of Wing C Svetlana 6L6GC power tubes that sound great and have plenty of life left. Cosmetically, this is a very clean and complete head, with all original knobs and slider tips present. The white bronco tolex shows only very light wear on the edges of the enclosure and the original hardware and faceplate show only light surface patina. Stunning HH Scott 222c Vintage Tube Amplifier. 4x 7189 Telefunken Vintage (measured on TV-7: 72, 72, 71, 71: min > 42) All Matched #’s. 4x ECC83 12AX7 Telefunken Vintage (measured on TV-7: 39/38, 38/38, 40/39, 38/39: min >32) All Matched #s Blackburn. 1x GZ34 JJ Electric (Tesla). Superb visual condition – look at the face, knobs, inside chassis! Slowly powered on through my variac, brought up to full levels over a couple of hours. Plays music, sounds sweet and warm. This amp was originally listed as having a loud hum… I checked out the GZ34, and one side was measuring super low. I replaced with a new GZ34, now it is wonderful!!!!!! There is still a very minor hum, audible only if I place my ear very close to the speaker when no music is coming through. Also – when the volume (loudness) is at 0, I can still hear a bit coming through the speakers… Very low but audible. Likely needs a good pot. Perhaps needs a filter cap to be perfect. I’ve spent a few hours listening to this warm, loud, punchy and extremely detailed amp. It is simply amazing. For long term, extended use, plan on servicing (caps), but as-is, it is damn impressive. If you are local to 01749, please come listen to it. There is simply nothing to hide with this amp. Cover is included, as well as original manual. I will pack super safely – removing the cover, wrapping it separate, removing tubes and bubble wrapping them. Placing the amp in a box by itself with bubble wrapping galore. Double boxing the entire package and insuring. Original knobs, cover etc. Once of the nicest visual examples of a vintage HH Scott Integrated Stereo Tube Amplifier I’ve ever seen. Hi, here for sale is a classic vintage stereo tube power amplifier, the legendary Harman Kardon Citation 2. This has recently been fully serviced and works and sounds great. Tube lineup: six input 12BY7A tubes (Sylvania NOS) and four output KT88 tubes (recent Electro-Harmonix). Electrolytics in the power supply were replaced, and many caps were also changed. Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Tremolux amplifier, freshly serviced and retaining the original lacquered tweed. One of the most tonally distinctive and sweet sounding amps of Fender’s late 1950s “narrow panel” Tweed era, the Tremolux essentially combined the tonal richness and dynamic, touch sensitive circuit of a 5E3 Deluxe with a bias-based footswitchable tremolo. Powered by a pair of brand new Electro Harmonix 6V6 power tubes, this Tremolux has the same harmonic content, smooth tube breakup and glassy tone of a Deluxe, but the significantly larger open back cabinet on a Tremolux gives the tone more depth, low end and roundness overall! Like any four-input Tweed Fender, the magic really happens when you jumper the two channels and use the independent Volume controls to dial in the perfect amount of clarity and grit. With the addition of Fender’s earliest tremolo circuit (a bias based design that essentially turns on/off the power tubes to create the effect), the Tremolux is a versatile and impressive amp, delivering a trem circuit with a strong pulse and good range of speeds. This true road warrior has been given all the love a real golden era Fender amp deserves, and our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar have carefully gone through the circuit, balancing originality and functionality and using only the best parts available. All of the original yellow Astron tone caps are intact in the preamp, along with the original pots, carbon comp resistors, cloth wire, and mostly untouched solder joints. The main filter caps have been replaced with brand new Sprague Atoms so that the amp is working within original factory spec, and a three-prong power cable has been installed. A miniature bias pot has also been added to the eyelet board so that the tubes can be optimally biased (an option not available via the circuit’s traditional cathode bias method). The transformers are a brand new pair furnished by Mercury Magnetics and made in the USA, closely matching original specs and materials. These are the same transformers used in Fender’s top-tier Custom Shop builds, living up to the high bar set by Fender’s original transformer manufacturers in the era, Triad and Schumacher. The chassis itself is quite clean, and the chrome shows only very light pitting on the face with the majority of the white silkscreen lettering intact (the chrome in fact is so shiny that it was difficult to faithfully capture the lettering in the images, but rest assured it’s there). The original chicken head knobs are all present as well. The speaker is a vintage Jensen C12Q, rated at roughly 35 watts and the perfect match for the output of the Tremolux which is decidedly more modest than what the speaker can handle. The teal frame is quite clean, with a date stamp from’63, intact bell cover and original Jensen label. The tube chart is also present on the inside of the cabinet. The original “Tremolux” metal badge on the face of the amp is present, while the leather handle and sphinx glides (feet) are modern replacements. The original tweed is intact and as the photos show, it has been ambered and scuffed from decades of honest use. The most prominent wear on the pine cab is on the front bottom edge with a few bald spots. While the lower back panel is original, the upper back panel is a modern replacement, aged to closer match the wear on the tweed. The baffle is also a brand new solid pine replacement from MojoTone, fitted with new Oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe as per spec for the Tweed era. This is a Peavey Classic 50 Tweed head from the mid 90′s. It is an incredible amp. When you turn it up it gets even better. If you throw a Tube Screamer in front of the lead channel… You can get some great 70′s rock tones aka Van Halen, Tom Petty, 38 Special, Journey….. Anything Bluesy or Classic Rock from the 70′s and 80′s is right in the sweet-spot of this great amp head. The Clean channel is very American Fender-like. Perfect for SRV stuff like Riviera Paradise. I do not have the user’s manual. Peavey has it available on their website and you can download it. Original box is not included either. These Peavey Heads are extremely reliable, and durable. The Tweed tolex is in pretty good shape, although it does have a few dings and scratches which I have shown (See Photos). The tubes are still good. The Caps and pots are working fine. The FX loop works good too. I removed a lot of rust from the mirror faceplate and some of the numbers in white around the Black Chicken-head knobs has worn off… And it did leave little rust “bumps” on there as shown (See Photos). The handle is a little worn as you can see in the photos as well. Overall this Peavey Classic 50 is in good shape for an amp 20+ years old. Please look at all of the photos to evaluate it’s overall condition. Here is some more info.
