Amp is Not working. I do not know what all is wrong, or what will need replaced. I was going to try to restore this for myself, but i know nothing about electronics, and came to my senses.. This only gets a very very loud hum from speaker when turned on. When all knobs are full blast you can hear a little bit of guitar under the loud hum. Two knobs are missing. Also the footswitch is missing. That’s extent of my testing and knowledge. I believe this is from 1963 based on the Jensen speaker, the red arrow knobs, and the bark type Tolex. Serial is 770239 What is shown is included. All of my items are untested from estate sales. They have not been cleaned thoroughly, they may have broken, missing, or damaged parts. All items are pre owned and will have imperfections from age/use. I sell as is for parts/repair. Any rulers, tape measures, or other objects used for size or display are not included. Up for sale, a Vox AC50/4 Mk II “Big Box” tube amplifier head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. An uncommon transitional amp only offered briefly in’64, this UK made JMI AC50 still retains the GZ34 rectifier of the earlier small box versions, as well as sporting the combination of the early brown lattice grillcloth paired with a (new for’64) gray faceplate. Essentially the same as the Mk I AC50 circuit with a second set of inputs and second channel, the big box version for’64 is a real powerhouse. The dual EL34 design has plenty of British sizzle and chime, with big, bold overdrive when you dime it out. And yes, this amp pairs exceedingly well with your favorite Rickenbacker or Gretsch Tennessean if you want the iconic British Invasion sounds of you know who. The circuit has been thoroughly serviced and left original in all the ways that count, with stock output and power transformers and a recap of the power supply to ensure that everything is operating within original factory spec. The pots have been replaced with new Alphas that turn smoothly and work reliably. A new Hammond choke is also present inside the chassis. The gray metal faceplate retains all of the original graphics, with all six of the stock chicken head knobs. The head cabinet retains the original black basketweave tolex paired with the original brown lattice diamond grillcloth and gold piping. The jacks on the stock back panel have been converted from the original three-pin variety to a more conventional 1/4 configuration. Other small yet meaningful original bits include the plastic handle, raised Vox logo, and model/serial number badge on the back. The corners are vintage two-pin replacements. A pair of Heathkit AA-13 amlifiers. These have the typical peeling paint on the cases but front panels and data on chassies are in good condition. Have not powered these up for several years. Ok, so I have here an original Danelectro DM10 guitar Amp. It honestly sounds kind of like a Fender Champ. Not sure of the exact wattage, but I think it’s from 6-10 watts. Everything is original except the new tubes, new grill cloth, new speaker, and speaker board. When I received it 5yrs ago the speaker board was flimsy, the grill cloth was torn, and the Jensen speaker had a tear on it. New items added are. Tubes: (6V6GT) by Tube doctor, (12AX7C) X2 by Groove tubes, and a (6X4) vintage JAN GE. Celestion GBC-15 8 custom design speaker(the label was custom made, but it’s still a new speaker w/ the barcode on top). Installed a strong 1/2 plywood speaker board (see back pics). Fender grill cloth on front Now gives the amp a fender blonde face look! Everything works great, like it should. All pictures are the exact details you will receive. The power cord is original, but I would maybe consider replacing it with a 3 prong for safety, unless you like that. 2 Unused (6V6GT) tubes by Electro-Harmonix, (Bias settings are 27, and 43). For sale is a pair of MC-60s in good condition. They’ve certainly been enjoyed and they are not perfect, but for the most part, the chrome is free of pitting. These were used sparingly and have had service done over the years, but are still mostly original. Bottom covers have some wear and paint chips. There are also a couple of areas where the mounts are slightly tweaked. The chrome does have scratches and a rust spots, but I would consider them normal for the age. Transformers are mostly clean, but do have scratches. One has some paint overspray on it. It will come off, but I did not fully remove all of it. No dings or dents however. They worked when last used. They were used up until a few years ago, but these will need to be serviced before they are used for any amount of time. The power cords on both are frayed and will need to be replaced or shortened before anything else can be done. You will also need a pair of rectifiers and your choice of power tubes. What you see is what is included and these were the tubes that were in the unit. Please see the photos I’ve taken. I’ve done my best to cover all angles. These truly are nice amplifiers, but I want to be transparent so that there are no surprises. The amplifiers will be boxed and insured separately. They will be carefully packed and I will make sure I’ve done my part to make sure they get to you in the condition they’re in. I sell mostly vintage electronics. As such, these items are old and typically out of spec from when they were new. I do my best to test these items and make sure they work before theyre sent out, but I do not guarantee or represent that they will meet the original specifications. I may not even be able to test them, in which case assume that they dont work and possibly be surprised when they do. However, there are times where I may miss something. If that happens, I hope that you would agree that the most efficient way to take care of an issue is if you simply message me before opening a case or doing anything else. This isnt a job and Im not a flipper. I pack items correctly. I know what it takes to get an item to you safely. You will NOT have to ask for it. I will do my best to get items out within a couple days, however there are instances where that is not possible. The policies here are difficult in this regard because these vintage items in particular need to be moved and packed carefully. I do not want to damage anything by rushing.
