Vintage Tube Amp

This was tested and worked great. It was tested at the AMP SHOP in North Hollywood a few days ago. I dont know anything technical about amps myself. I do have the receipt These amps have great sound, and quite loud. Because I dont really know the technical stuff about amps please ask any questions you have, and Im more than happy to answer them. A couple of things I noticed myself is that the Fender script is missing. The original fender script is lost sorry. The legs to lean the box back are not there either. If I find them I will include them but otherwise assume they are missing. The case is 25 x 25 x 10 deep and quite heavy. I dont see any damage anywhere, and in fact if dusted off and wiped down with one of the leather/vinyl products it would look near new again. It has not been cleaned at all. I had a friend test it out and he said all the basic functions work just fine. It has a little wear on the vinyl and handle (see pics), but it is in overall very good condition. Vintage EICO HG-55 Tube Preamp. Up for sale is a nice Fisher 510-ST integrated amp/preamp. This unit is in working condition and was tested by me. It runs and amplifies music. There is no drama like loud 60 cycle bad cap hum, smoking, shocks, heavy distortion, etc. The inputs and controls work. I made video of this unit being tested and I will post it soon. It looks like most of the tubes are original. The pre amp tubes are microphonic. The other tubes have not been tested although the 6AB4 is an NOS replacement. I did a basic servicing of this unit by cleaning the tube sockets and the pots along with looking for detached wires and broken bits, etc. This amp was in a neighbor’s home for 50 years. Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Princeton Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Produced early in 1965, this Blackface Princeton Reverb retains the “Pre-CBS” features typically only associated with the’64 production year, and this extremely clean and early example boasts a Fender Electrical Instrument Co. Faceplate and early no-logo cabinet! The perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, the Princeton Reverb is a Fender amp that delivers well balanced, sparkling cleans. The Reverb is extremely lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. Modded by one of Nashville’s premier amp shops (aptly named “Nashville Amplifier Service”), this Princeton has incredible volume and an extra gain stage utilizing a 12AX7 before the phase inverter, which has been swapped for a 12AU7. The tone is clean, clean, clean and positively huge, with a bass response and fullness that belies the amp’s modest stature. Here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, we typically strive to offer the most original and vintage-correct amps, but this particular Princeton was so well modded and the work so purposefully done to achieve an impressive tone, that we’ve elected to leave all of Nashville Amplifier Service’s work intact. The chassis itself is very clean with the original power transformer and choke that date to early 1965, while the replaced Deluxe Reverb output transformer dates to 1969. The circuit retains the original CTS pots which also date to’65, along with the tube chart which has an “OF” date stamp that translates to June of 1965. The power tubes are a pair of modern Electro Harmonix 6V6 power tubes which sound great with great richness and detail, while the preamp tubes are a combination of vintage and newer valves. The original faceplate is notably clean and retains all of the original black skirted knobs. As the photos show, the original black tolex is remarkably clean, with oonly light wear on the bottom edges of the enclosure. Both of the original back panels are intact and the stock grillcloth has plenty of sparkle in the thread with only light aging. A two-button Fender footswitch is included. Up for sale, a 1961 Fender Super in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This Brownface Pre-CBS tube amp was produced late in’61 with a freshly serviced circuit and a pair of stock teal frame Jensen P10Q speakers with original cones. A direct descendant of the Tweed era Super amp, this early Brownface example sports the same transformers and speakers as its close predecessor, delivering hi-fi clarity and sparkling, robust clean tones. Turning the amp up past 5 on the volume dial yields thick, chewy overdrive with great touch-sensitive responsiveness and EQ controls that have an incredibly wide sweep. And of course this is the most compact Brownface-era amp to feature the “Harmonic Vibrato” circuit. A true pitch shifting vibrato (not the tremolo found on most Fender amps), the Harmonic Vibrato sound has a thick, Leslie-esque throb and warble, with a three-dimensional quality and depth that is perfectly suited to the speaker compliment and cabinet size. Whether you want a slow, undulating swampy sound or faster, pulsating vibrato, this Super delivers the goods. The circuit has just been thoroughly tested by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar and almost all of the original blue Ajax capacitors in the preamp are intact. Aside from replacing the two bias caps as well as the smaller bypass caps with modern equivalents, the preamp is untouched. The original CTS pots are all intact too. The power amp has been recapped with new F&T caps to guarantee reliable, trouble-free use for years to come. While the output transformer is original and dates to’61, the power transformer is a genuine vintage Fender replacement from 1967. The speakers are the original pair of Jensen P10Qs. Both speakers have clean frames with only light speckles of rust, original bell covers, and clean Jensen labels. The original rough brown tolex is intact and the original baffle board has been professionally regrilled with oxblood grillcloth. As the photos show, the tolex and grill are particularly clean, and both back panels are modern factory-spec replacements. All hardware is stock and accounted for including the brown plastic “dogbone” handle, corners, sphinx glides (feet), and flat “Fender” logo on the amp’s face.
