HIGHLY MOTIVATED MUST SELL ASAP! Completely unspoiled pair of vintage BOGEN model MO 200 monoblock TUBE AMPS. These were taken out of their sealed boxes approx 5 or 6 years ago and used only a handful of times since! ALL tubes are the originals that came with amps and are branded BOGEN. All are essentially New Old Stock with matching codes and identical construction and test nos on TV7d/u tube tester. These have some HEAVY Iron! Each is rated at 200 watts per channel of CLEAN TUBE POWER! Each weighs approx 50 pounds! The sound is remarkable. They utilize EIGHT 8417 power output tubes and TWO 7247 tubes each. Amplifiers have been thoroughly gone through and tolerances tested. They are quiet with no hum or distortion and honestly sound incredible. I hooked them up to my Altec A4 Voice of the Theater speakers and also tested them on my 1961 Klipsch K-horns. Thunderous BASS with smooth clear high frequency response. The fine item you are considering is a Vintage Alamo 2×10 Combo Tube Guitar Amplifier Amp. This cool vintage Alamo tube amp sports a pair of 6V6s for power tubes, and two original 10 speakers. The amp is basically working but it has some issues, these being that while the normal channel works perfectly and sounds fantastic at higher volumes (great break up and very spanky) the Vibrato channel looks to have what I think is a bad pot, which is very crackly (loud crackles when turned) and isnt allowing the volume to be as loud as it should be. Also, it doesnt appear that the vibrato effect is functioning. One of the paper cones on one speaker is torn, but I cant hear it effecting the sound, and otherwise the amp shows typical wear from age and use, but makes a great vintage appearance. The amp measures 23 long and has a nice chrome front plate. Please see my photos to have a look at this nice item. Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Showman in excellent condition, complete with the matching 1×15 “Tone Ring” piggyback speaker cabinet. The Showman was Fender’s flagship tube amp in’67, and the Blackface circuit delivers incredible clean power and headroom, with a sweet sounding, versatile preamp. This particular Showman boasts a matched quad of Groove Tubes 6L6 power tubes and has just been given a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. From full, tight bass to Fender sparkle and chime on the top end, this is an extremely tonally balanced amp, with plenty of mids on tap as well and strong tremolo. One very unique and desirable feature of the Showman is the ported Tone Ring speaker cabinet. This large 1×15 enclosure was designed to deliver the clearest, most pure Fender tone with a stock JBL D140F speaker, and as such utilizes a dual baffle board design in which the speaker floats between the baffles, mounted to a metal tone ring. This elegant design makes the Showman cab work as a closed back, ported enclosure and you’ll notice greater range of your EQ controls, ample bass response and an overall sweeter, balanced tone that you simply can’t get with any other Fender cabinet. Plus it just looks so darn impressive! The speaker cabinet retains all of its original fiberglass sound dampening sheets and the D140F sounds incredible with a professional recone. The circuit has been thoroughly serviced, with new filter caps in the power supply and smaller bypass and bias caps in the preamp. The preamp features new Sprague Orange Drop caps as well, and a three-prong cable has been installed. The original Schumacher output transformer and choke is present and date to 1966, while the power transformer is a genuine vintage Fender replacement that dates to 1972. The tube chart is complete and intact with a clear “QD” date stamp, which translates to April of 1967, while the original CTS pots date back to the 38th week of’66. This amp sports the original smooth black tolex which is in great shape overall, showing only minor scuffs and light wear along the edges of the head enclosure, while the speaker cab is remarkably clean. While the cab retains its original silver sparkle grillcloth, the head has had a vintage piece of genuine Fender grillcloth installed with similar tint to the cloth so that the head and cab are a perfect match. All of the hardware is intact as well including chrome tilt back legs, piggyback clip bars, handles, corners and raised metal Fender logos on both the head and speaker cabinet. This vintage Blackface Fender Showman is clean and complete. A testament to the enduring popularity, great tone and reliability of vintage Fender amps! I took it to my Tube/Amp Guru, Doug McCalister, and he went through the entire unit. We needed to replace the 12AX7s so I bought a matched set of Tube Amp Doctor tubes. If you have the means and motivation, a set of original West German Telefunkens would make this lady sing even better than she does now! All other tubes and capacitors worked well! Very minimal work was necessary to get this lady singing again. Doug ran it for many hours to make sure everything was dialed in. Everything is balanced and sounds absolutely SUPER WARM and lovely! Replaced the original plastic feet with MUCH larger rubber feet, much better to protect the amp and whatever it is sitting on (see photos). This is the LOWEST PRICED H.
