These amplifier are in working condition restored. The frames have new paint with wood on the side. All capacitors checked and replaced bad caps. All new brass screws. All tubes are tested and they are strong tubes. These amps are quiet and give very good sound. A wonderful warm sound small amp. I will list more Audio stuff soon. Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Vibrolux Reverb Export Model, very original and given a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. A very rare Export Model designed with a rotary voltage selector on the back panel, this amp works with worldwide voltages from 117 to 240v. With good reason, the Vibrolux is one of the most desirable Fender Blackface models for its ideal size and power, performing well both on stage and in the studio with shimmering Fender cleans and smooth, lightly compressed tube overdrive when you push the amp towards 10 on the volume dial. Clean and sweet up til about 5 on the volume knob (with a perceived volume that’s loud enough to keep up with an aggressive drummer), the Vibrolux has smooth attack and tube rectifier sag, not to mention lush tube reverb and punchy tremolo. This Vibrolux has been thoroughly serviced to balance originality and functionality, boasting a recap of the power supply with Sprague Atoms and a modern three-prong power cable. The original Schumacher-made power and output transformers are intact and date to’66, and the original choke and reverb transformer are present too. The preamp is extremely original and straight, with all of the blue molded Ajax tone caps which are a hallmark of the Blackface sound. The CTS pots also date to 1966. The pair of Tung Sol 5881 (6L6) power tubes sound wonderful and are optimally biased, and the preamp tubes are a compliment of vintage and modern valves which function as intended. The original Oxford 10 10L5 speakers sound fantastic, and both speakers feature original cones which are still tight, yet nicely worked in. The tube chart is fully intact, noting the AA864 circuit with a “QB” date code which translates to February of’67 (customarily the latest date code on a Fender amp). The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are intact, along with all of the stock hardware and the original raised Fender logo on the amp’s face. The edges of the enclosure show a bit of honest wear from the past half century, but as the photos show, this Vibrolux presents very well. A rare iteration of one of Fender’s best mid-size Blackface combos, this Export Model Vibrolux Reverb is tonally stunning, very original, and fully serviced to sound its best. 2 Mono Blocks of Scott 240 tube amp power. Very close serial numbers: # 9918 and # 9928. Both were completely restored. One of the mono blocks acquired some water damage along the front skirt. But it has been dosed with rust neutralizer. These were made in the mid 50′s when mono was the only rage. So, to get a pair together with such close serial numbers is unheard of. You are looking at a Vintage 1966 Fender Showman “Blackface Piggy Back” All Tube Amp. Top of the line for fender in 1966. The most powerful Fender amp ever produced. 85 watts of tone. 2×12 Cabinet with Eminence Speakers. If you are after that “Classic Fender Tone” you have come to the right place! Great Amp for Blues, Rock and Surf. Has just a Killer Awesome Tone. This is the “Real Deal”. This was Fenders first piggyback amp, and therefore its first real leap from bandstand to arena stage. Dick Dale was a key player and test pilot for Fender in developing the Showman Amp. Not only did it have to have awesome tone and sound, it had to be reliable. Dick Dale had a reputation for blowing up amps with his over the top surf music. The Showman is all of this and more. It is built like a Tank. The Amp appears to be mostly original. A 3-prong grounded cord has been added. Our amp tech went through and serviced this amp. Everything functions and is working correctly. Gig Ready on Arrival! Brand New Aftermarket Footswitch is Included! Keep in mind that this is a 53 year old amp that has been used. There are scuffs, scratches and tears in the Tolex covering. The Tolex on the back panel of the amp is coming loose around the 2 oblong shape air vent holes. A little super glue or a staple should repair it easily. The grill cloth has been replaced on the head, but the grill cloth on the cabinet is all original. It is stained and faded with some minor tears and fray in the cloth. Some scratches and light pitting on the instrument control panel. Lettering is still legible. This is the “Real Deal” Dripping with “Mojo”. Overall, a really nice amp. Look at the pictures closely.
