PAIR of Heathkit 1961 Vintage 14 Watt Power Tube Amp Model AA-61. I have for sale a vintage pair of Heathkit AA-61 tube amps, I’ve owned these amps for over twenty years, I’ve used them with a variety of preamps and speakers through the years without problems. I had a shop check them out several years ago and replace some parts, a local electronic tech checked them late last year and replaced some resistors and capacitors. These are vintage electronic units, they have been serviced intermittently, and are in operating condition at this time, they have not been totally restored. Local pick-up available- located in Oklahoma, please message if interested. The item “PAIR of Heathkit 1961 Vintage 14 Watt Power Tube Amp Model AA-61″ is in sale since Tuesday, April 7, 2020. A little about me: It is my passion to bring you the very finest restoration I can. My quest to explore, diagnose, repair and service electronic and mechanical devices. Began when I was 7 years old. I’d get up very early, everyday in the Summer and on Saturday mornings during the school year. I’d take my Huffy bicycle. Around TV service and electronic repair store rubbish areas. I’d hit the trash cans of neighbors, industrial and retail centers, collecting interesting. Specimens of electronic chassis and motor driven gizmos, to dissect, study and organize. In my teens I built and studied projects from Heathkit and. Other schematics featured in Mechanics Illustrated, Electronics Illustrated and similar related publications. In the Navy I went to school, studied and. Worked as an Aviation Electrician repairing and servicing military aircraft. Now that I’m retired, I still love to tinker with electronic and mechanical. Several radios, record players, amplifiers, and color wheels that I will be restoring over the next several years. My goal is to make these old, vintage. Devices function like new again. They sure don’t make-em like they used to. This is a very special record player that will be packaged with care and consideration to make sure it arrives as described to its new owner. Vintage Knight KM15 Tube Amplifier EL84 12AX7 fr Guitar Amp WORKING Black Beauty

Up for sale here is this neat little vintage Knight KM15 tube amplifier, complete with tubes. This is used with moderate wear and some rust on the transformers, but it’s not too bad. There are four brackets screwed to the corners by a previous owner–I have no idea why. I brought this up on a Variac (not included) and it works great and plays well, with no hums or buzzes. This is a neat little mono (one-channel) amplifier, and you could enjoy it as-is or modify it to be an awesome guitar amp. When I got this, it was missing the knobs and tubes, so I replaced the knobs with some nice repro knobs and tubed it up. The tubes are two 12AX7 (vintage Made in USA 1956 CBS 12AX7s), two EL84/6BQ5 (Russian equivalents), and one 6V4 rectifier (NOS Tesla equivalent, I think Hungarian). The tubes all work fine. I cleaned the controls, so they work smoothly as well. This has three controls–volume, bass, and treble. Volume is on the left, bass is in the middle, treble is on the right. The pot for treble has less travel than the others, for whatever reason. Underneath the wiring is nice and clean, with a pair of. 022 uf 600v Sprague Black Beauty caps for that great vintage sound. The can cap is original as far as I know and runs nice and cool–no issues there. The back has a jack for an AC cord–not sure if this is a previous owner’s modification or what. This includes the bottom cover but does not have a top cage/cover, sorry. Please see my pictures for details. If you have any questions, please ask. I have more tube amplifiers and other vintage electronics listed–feel free to take a look! Aims VTB-120 Personalized Bass Sound System. AIMS VTB-120 1970s Bass/Guitar Tube Amp – 120 watts – Made in the USA. I have not tested the unit. Just powered it up & cleaned the switches. Unit powers up & tubes are all apparently functioning. The unit shows signs of use, and powers up. That being said, due to the age of this device & the uncertain nature of vintage electronics. They were built in Arizona. The man who designed them was named Lee Dominguez and he owned a music store called Arizona Music. The store is still there, but it has changed hands and has a different name. The amp tech that works at the store, Bob Olsen, has worked at the store since 1960 and he was involved every step of the way in the development of AIMS amps. Dominguez never worked for Fender, but he did work with Fender in developing their reverb tanks and also on a guitar instructional book.
