50w EL34 amp, designed for clean tone for guitar or bass, can get some drive out of it with a hot signal. Seems popular with pedal uses, really warm vintage valve amp tone and the big power supply choke gives them plenty of weight to bass tones. This one has been fully serviced including a recap and a modification to the bias circuit for adjustability. This is the model with a reverb, but the reverb tank is missing, it was an odd small size, so its effectively the plain SV, the knob on the front does nothing now. Obviously this is a heavy lump, but I can have it couriered, would massively prefer collection though. Gibson EH-100 19401941 Vintage Tube Pre-War Amplifier Amp Combo 80y. Not perfect, check out the pics. They show it all. From the birth of amplified guitar. I think the condition is remarkable considering it’s age. This amp is a surviving piece of electric guitar history. Tube layout in pic. Last variation of the EH-100 before the war. This model cabinet has a separate amp and 10 field coil speaker box [latches together on the sides]. Dimension is 15″x12″x8 when stacked. Speaker box can be rotated around and latched to the amp base for controls on the front or even moved a foot or so away. This example has retained it’s original brown fabric covering and original handle. Gibson logo is very nice. Note pictures for condition. A few nicks and such in cabinet covering and amp chassis. This amp has 2 instrument inputs and one mic input. The volume knob controls the mic input only. The mic input has more gain and is preferred for guitar, eh? Gives guitar some attack and growl. This mic input sound is very desirable on the vintage tube amps of this era. Has been tuned up 10 years ago and up-dated with 3-prong plug for safety. Has been in storage more or less since then. Recommend having it checked by amp tech before using. Tubes are finicky compared to solid state. But the tone of vintage pre-war tube amps is unique. It’s 80 years old. Let me say this again, it’s 80 years old. When you judge it’s condition, please remember that. This amp was always cared for and shows no abuse. Never left in a wet garage or basement. It is ready to play or be displayed in a collection or museum. To be honest, I don’t know really what the market value of this amp is. I have looked at other images of this amp on Google, and this one, is by far the best looking. You be the judge. If I’ve put too high a price on it, let me know and give me your best offer. Up for sale, a 1970 Ampeg B-15N Portaflex tube amp in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original trolley and cover. The B-15N is one of the most recorded and highly regarded tube bass amp circuits of all time, and this classic four-input vintage model delivers the goods through the original 15 Eminence ceramic magnet speaker. Manufactured in the USA by Ampeg at their Linden, NJ factory and just given a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, the amp is powered by a matched pair of properly biased Tung Sol 6L6GC power tubes. Notable for the addition of Ultra-Hi and Ultra-Lo rocker switches for each channel not found on earlier iterations, this B-15N has surprising output given its modest power and excels at a dynamic and detailed tone that can be extremely warm, or distinct and bright. Paired with a Precision Bass, it’s the perfect recipe for Motown thump. The original transformers are both present, and the preamp is virtually untouched, with original CTS pots and visible date codes from the 21st week of 1970. Along with the Tung Sol 6L6 power tubs, the amp features a combination of modern and vintage octal preamp tubes as well as a vintage Mullard GZ34 rectifier. The stock Eminence speaker has a clean frame and date code from the 13th week of 1970. The cabinet retains the original smooth black tolex, silver sparkle grillcloth, and Ampeg badge. The faceplate retains virtually all of the original blue pinstriping, along with a full compliment of original knobs. Wear on the cabinet is limited to minor scuffs and light edge wear, and all original hardware is included and viable including the shockmounts for the head and original latches. As the photos show, this B-15N would look great in a studio. The original screw-on trolley is included, along with the original cover (not pictured). Originally released in the 1948, the Fender Super Amp was the company’s first multi-speaker amplifier, originally named the “Dual Professional” before becoming the Super Amp in 1950. In 1960, the Super amp went through a major overhaul both in circuitry and cosmetics. The Brownface-era amps of the early 1960s featured electronics which are essentially the same as Concert Amp, Pro, and Bandmaster but with a tube rectifier.
