Vintage Tube Amp

This is the Vintage Conn Complete Stereo tube amplifier. What you need to do is just Plug & Play then enjoy it! The out put tubes uses 2 x EL84/6BQ5 tubes for stereo. Preamp uses 1 x 12AX7 tube while the rectify is 6X4 tube As you can see, it is very nice tube amplifier. There are 4 knobs for 2 channels. The first pair of 2 knobs are the volume and the tone for (L) channel while the other pair are the volume and the tone adjustments for (R) channel! There is built-in ON/OFF switch inside knob. This is stand-alone stereo tube amplifier. Please note that this tube amp is about 40/50 year old so nothing is guaranteed! It may be changed/modified for recap, resistors, tubes, wires, etc…. Inputs and outputs terminals are added for convenience. One fuse (1 A) was also added for safety. The handle bar(s) were added on both side too. Please see the photos. You see what you get! Up for sale, a 1973 Fender Twin Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order with a 100% original circuit. Loaded with a pair of unusual and early Eminence/Fender ceramic 12 drivers and a near complete set of original RCA tubes, this amp lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. Perfect not only for guitar, the Twin is an excellent choice for any scenario where headroom is a must, performing equally well with a pedal steel or your favorite Rhodes piano. The circuit is untouched, right down to the original power supply caps, and all of the original Schumacher transformers date between the 26th and 29th weeks of 1973. All of the original CTS pots are present as well, dating to’73. The chassis has a clean faceplate and full compliment of original knobs. The tube compliment includes three RCA 6L6s in the power section with one substituted Realistic-branded valve that does the part to round out the quad, while the preamp is outfitted with the full set of original matched RCA valves. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is intact, and the pair of Eminence-manufactured 12 speakers have clean brown/gold Fender labels on the ceramic magnets, with clean black frames and viable cones. These speakers are a prototypical pair for Eminence, aping the look of the earlier Jensens seen in Fender’s Blackface-era Twins, yet undoubtedly original, given the matching 1973 date stamps on the edges of the frames. The smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth is quite clean, as is all of the original hardware, save for an MIA set of tilt-back legs. This is a modified vacuum tube amplifier. The pre-amplifier kit is removed. Only the power amplifier with pure vacuum tubes is retained. The power amplifier is almost the original state. A 12AU7 and a 12AX7 are believed to be original but can not provide a guarantee, the input end only retains a three-dimensional RCA input terminal, the output can be connected to 4, 8, 16 ohm speakers. The function of the amplifier is normal. The output transformer has a slight vibration sound but not through the speaker. The output sound is clean, sweet, and warm. Packard Bell DPA 30-3 Push / Pull Tube Amplifier with EL84 output tubes. It also includes 2 Packard Bell marked 7025 (low noise 12AX7) preamp tubes; see the last picture for tubes. Works Well; It powers on when plugged in. The tubes are all marked “Packard Bell” and all test good on an emissions type tube tester (Sencore TC154). The 5U4 rectifier tube tests good, but its guide pin is broken. An extra 5U4 tube will also be included; It is a GE tube and it also tests well. The speaker plug in connectors and 10 foot cables are also included. This amplifier is modified with a jumper wire (colored white) so that it powers up when plugged in. That is the only modification. This tube amp was recently tested using a CD player plugged into a pre-amplifier, plugged into the input jacks. I listened to an entire CD with no problems (all tubes work, no smoke or no hot transformers).
