A Vintage, rare 1960 Heathkit AA-30 stereo tube amp with 4 6BQ5 , 1 GZ34 and 2 ea. This amp works but there is some distortion at higher volumes mostly with bass frequencies and the right channel is a little lower than the left. There are some new caps in it and it sounds OK, just hard hitting bass sounds distorted. This is a small amp , only about 15 watts per channel. Comes with cage, Comes with all tubes. Only minor imperfections on the metal chassis, very nice physical condition. You can use this amp the day you receive it and repair ir and make it better later. Up for sale, a 1980 Fender Princeton Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. One of the very last genuine vintage examples from the original Silverface era of production, this Princeton Reverb has been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, the Princeton’s circuit delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is lush, and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The circuit retains the original pair of transformers manufactured for Fender by Schumacher, dating between late 1979 and the first weeks of’80. The preamp boasts a full complement of original blue molded capacitors, with a few new Sprague electrolytics to ensure optimal performance. The larger multi-section can cap in the power supply is still functioning as intended too. All of the original pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 50th week of’79. The tubes consist of a matched pair of JJ 6V6s with an JJ 5U4 rectifier and a bevy of modern valves in the preamp. The speaker is an era-correct Oxford 10J4 with a black frame and blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The speaker retains the original speaker harness as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender “F” cap. The tube chart is mostly intact. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe are present and notably well-kept. The original faceplate has plenty of shine with a full complement of witch hat knobs, and the hardware includes original chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and small raised Fender tail-less logo. This vintage Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 40 years of use. Letting go of this beautiful. 1950′s RCA 86A Tube Compressor/Limiter. This unit was recently serviced and recapped by the best in the business here in Los Angeles. It is fully plug & play with XLR pigtails and it sounds legendary. This compressor will be someone’s studio weapon/work-horse for the next 100 years. The 86A was the predecessor to the RCA BA6A and has absolutely every bit of the mojo that its younger brother has. I own 96A, 86A & BA6A, and they are all magnificent comp/limiters, each a hair bit different mechanically but extremely close sonically. They are all on the slower side of compression but I absolutely love the color and character they add, no pumping or annoying artifacts like you find with many modern compressors. The 86A is Incredibly smooth and musical. It makes everything sound bigger and badder! There’s nothing like tubes and massive transformers to help you define and glue a mix. The sound is as heavy and big as the unit itself (35lbs- 5RU) – This compressor is professionally serviced and wired with XLR pigtails.
