Only one channel works as it should. The other one squeaks and feeds back at low volume. Not sure what is wrong with it but could be an easy fix for someone who knows how to fix mesas. Way over my pay grade though. The channel that works properly works great is very loud and clear ans speaker sounds amazing. Up forsale is a vintage 1974 Alamo Montclair 2565 tube guitar amp. Amp tested bottom input works top inout doesn’t. Bottom input sounds good fender princeton kind of tone. Breaks up with volume around 3 o clock. The speaker to power amp cord may not be original. Knobs are not original. Please check photos and feel free to ask questions. The caps have never been replaced. The speaker works with no issues. Tremelo not tested because i dont have a foot switch to test. Amp weighs 33.8 lbs. See tube chart in photo.
Vintage 1951 National Valco Tube Amplifier Amp 51 Chicago Gold Label. I have owned it for many years and now it’s time for someone else to enjoy. Senior citizen, non-smoker owned. Made in 1951, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Serial Number Metal Tag: X367, very low serial number range. Model: National Valco 51, with gold emblem logo on the front. Features: on/off toggle switch, fuse holder, bass/treble tone dial, volume low/high dial, and 3 instrument inputs. Speaker: 10 speaker, stamped 550-3 on the magnet, 6823 on the metal frame, and 41H800 on the actual speaker. Check out the attached video for a quick sound clip. Video with audio was done at the restoration shop after recent work was completed. Sounds even better in person! ELECTRONICS: The amplifier has been professionally restored electronically, (to original specifications as possible), including new tubes and a 10′ grounded 3-prong plug that replaced the brittle original 2-prong plug. The renowned “Hunt Amplification” in Phoenix, Arizona recently performed all of the electronic restoration. All electronic aspects of this amplifier are in 100% working order. EXTERIOR: Great overall used 74-year-old original, un-restored exterior condition. Exterior condition shows minor wear, discoloration and usage throughout the years. (Bottom lower front corners show some scuffs in the covering). Original aged brown leather carry handle. The 6C21 tube is a high kilowatt pulse modulator. There are 19 RGB’s on the back providing an ever changing color palette. When items are made from copper they are not perfect. There are dents and tool marks from either the construction or the original piece of copper plate that was used. These items aren’t made on a machine, they are hand. If you expect a genuine handmade authentic steampunk clock, then you have found the right place. Back to my normal introduction. Thank you for taking the time to consider my product. I’ve had an interesting life full of hobbies like wood carving, blacksmithing and copper work that I now use to create one of a kind Nixie Clocks. I make a high quality kit designed in Switzerland and have sourced NOS tubes. With the artistic help of my wife staining and beautifying the enclosures we now have a quality product that I would like to own and that I can sell with confidence. You can have a clock hand built in the USA from parts that are decades old but are new and being utilized for the first time in their lives. The clock has a battery backup that keeps time to + or – 1 minute a year. However from my observations I would say it is much more accurate than that. This is coming from a person who is a perfectionist and has CDO (that’s OCD but in alphabetical order). That level of obsessive precision goes into the building of your clock. The design is a 6 digit display that every minute if you wish will display the date for 5 seconds and then scroll back to the time. The only word that works for a description is “COOL”. All the functions are set with one simple button. There are too many variations to describe here but be assured you can have this clock Your Way. Tube life is lengthened by a blanking mode which you set when you are away and also an Anti Cathode Poisoning Feature that keeps the filaments clean and adds to the overall life of the tubes. Inspired by the SteamPunk movement I’ve incorporated elements of copper and brass all handmade and unique to each clock. I treat our customers like I would want to be treated.
