### Vintage Western Electric Tube Power Supply / Amplifier Chassis – Featuring TRANS D-163046. Up for sale is an incredibly rare, untouched vintage Western Electric power supply and amplifier chassis assembly from the late 1940s/1950s Cold War era. Originally engineered for the heavy-duty Bell System long-distance carrier networks, these industrial grey chassis are globally renowned today as the ultimate foundation for building custom luxury tube preamplifiers, phono stages, or mono-block guitar tube amps. This unit is a complete goldmine of original, high-grade Western Electric iron and components that are highly sought after by audiophiles worldwide. #### KEY HIGH-VALUE COMPONENTS INCLUDED. Main Power Transformer: Western Electric TRANS. D-163046 (Legendary nickel-iron Permalloy core with pure copper windings). Network Capacitors: 2x Western Electric GA-50920 Oil-Filled Filter Capacitors. Inductors: Original Western Electric RET (Retardation) Coils / Chokes. Chassis Markings: Beautifully stenciled industrial gray metal frame. #### PHYSICAL & COSMETIC CONDITION. The main chassis is in solid cosmetic shape with clean original factory paint and sharp stenciled labels. However, the capacitor itself remains completely bone-dry with NO oil leaks, and the original internal wiring harness and solder joints remain firmly attached to the terminal pins underneath. The other components, transformer blocks, and terminals are visually intact. Freshly recovered from a closed local estate storage cleanout. This is an incredibly heavy, dense block of industrial steel and copper. We take packaging seriously. This unit will be heavily wrapped in multiple layers of large-cell bubble wrap, packed securely inside a rigid inner box, and then DOUBLE-BOXED into a heavy-duty outer carton lined with thick foam insulation board.
