Power cord needs replaced, unless you have a death wish. It powers up, lights up inside and out. I didn’t hook anything up to it to check it out, so it is as is where is, and an is what is sort of sale. There’s some house paint on it, that came off with a little effort. I think it’s latex (try Windex or ammonia) and it’s on the rear of the unit. There is some kind of glue on the front lower area where there is also a chip. I didn’t clean this up much as you can tell by the photo of the inside and the dust. Maybe if I get some spare time, I will check it out and update things. Thanks for stopping by! This is a Vintage 1950′s Bell & Howell Filmosound 385 Custom Tube Guitar Amp Speaker Cab Project. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with light wear from use and age. This is a rare Vintage Supro Valco tube guitar amplifier. The serial number is V15025. It does work but there is some static and crackling. It is also missing the volume knob, and the power switch is pushed into the chassis. The power cord does have cracking in it so that would need to be replaced. The leather handle is still intact but has the metal wire sticking out. Overall the amp is well used and will require restoration to get back to 100%. This is a very rare and neat old amplifier. Supro Amplifier by Valco Chicago 51. Crank it up, this amp is ready to “wail”. This amps sounds great full-up. This amp has a new 10 speaker and. New JJ’s brand 6SL7 preamp tube. This 12 volt amp is clean sounding from 1 to 3. On the volume dial, then starts to break-up at 3.5 and becomes progressively more distorted as the volume is turned up. One Brand New Preamp 6SL7 JJ brand. Fourteen and a half inches tall. Seven a half deep. This amp is serviced and the old power cord is replaced. By a six-foot-long grounded cord. The Jensen speaker gives the amp a deeper bottom end with no brittle highs at all. The treble control knob is very responsive and provides a full pallet of tones from bass to treble. Manufactured by Stackpole Electronics. 304-303 = 3rd week of 1943 or 1953. 304-707 = 7th week of 1947 or 1957. This is essentially a Magnatone 107 badged as Orpheus model 707 I believe. Compact little tube amp w/ 8 speaker that appears to be all original down to the black plate RCAs. Looks cool as hell, and sounds even better (think Supro, Princeton, etc)! Condition is really solid for how old this is and Im surprised the chintzy badge is left at all they usually arent! The O in Orpheus has broken – see pics. Tolex is super clean and see all photos for any of the bumps and bruises on the edges.
