The amp is in great condition! All of the tubes look like they should and the metal is pretty clean with only some light pitting on it. See pictures for more and feel free to ask any questions! I’ve also included an invoice from an authorized McIntosh repair shop and the man who worked on it had worked for Mcintosh for 30+ years and knew them very well. The repair was minor and the goal was to have it work for another 40 years. The customer stated fault at the bottom of the document is misleading. There aren’t any problems at all with the power supply. This comment was made to the repair guy because that’s what my co-worker said happened to it. My diagnosis was unfounded and a guess. It ran like a champ when I used it! Also, the owner’s manual included isn’t the original but rather a copy of it that I have used.

Here’s a vintage McIntosh C4 preamplifier. 3x Mullard IEC by Tungsgram (Hungary) ECC83/12AX7s included. Tested and sounds great. No hum or any issues. Looks excellent with original wooden cab. Vintage Organ Tube Amplifier. To use the gearhead expression “ran when parked”, it did work before I put it storage. As you can see, storage has not been kind to it. This unit has 1x 5U4GB Rectifier, 4x 6BQ5 / EL84 power tubes and 4x 12AX7 tubes. This amplifier is a prime candidate for a sweet little conversion project! Some of the pots are just a bit scratchy, could use a good cleaning. It is missing the feet and one of the screws is bent a little. The print on these tubes is fragile and will easily rub off, some has already rubbed off, special care was taken not to rub off any more while testing. Vintage US made El84 single ended stereo integrated amplifier for DIY restoration project or for parts. I was thinking of using the chassis for a DIY pre amplifier or DIY phono stage project.
