Up for sale, a 1979 Sano 300R-12 combo amplifier in exceptional condition and in perfect working order with a complete vintage tube set. Manufactured in New Jersey, Sano is a hidden gem of vintage amp manufacturing. This 2×12 300R-12 comes from the final year of Sano production, just prior to the company’s dissolution in 1980. Tonally, Sano amps are widely considered to be quite balanced, with a relatively flat EQ response, and this 300R-12 is no exception. It’s undeniably beefy and rich, with ample headroom, perfect for articulate, complex chording, and the midrange is warm and harmonically complex. The footswitchable onboard Tremolo has great depth, and the Reverb is lush and atmospheric. This 300R-12 features a dual channel, dual input design, with a polarity switch and Stereo functionality on Channel One. Simple controls include Volume, Bass, and Treble knobs for each channel, with Bass Volume and Treble Volume controls for Channel One. Additionally, there is a knob for the Reverb, with a pair of buttons to engage/disengage the Reverb on each channel, and the Tremolo has Speed and Depth controls (as well as a pair of on/off buttons for the Trem on each channel). The point-to-point circuit is extremely elegant in its construction with high quality components used throughout. The amp has been serviced by our team of techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, with the majority of the original capacitors intact, and original Centralab pots that date to the 9th week of’79. The complete vintage tube complement features a pair of GE 7591 power tubes, a Westinghouse 6CG7, and a preamp section of four GE 12AX7s and one United Electronics (also from New Jersey) 12AU7. The original pair of Fane 12 speakers are present, rated at 4 ohms, and there is a 3/79 date stamp on each frame. Only one speaker retains the original plastic magnet cover. Cosmetic touches include a Sano badge with the later’70s-era block logo, black grillcloth, white piping, and a trio of handles (one on each side and one on top). The original casters are also present. Wear is limited to a handful of faint marks and scuffs on the black tolex; the graphics on the control plate are very clean, including the central atom design, and the original knobs are all intact.

Dates to the 1970s era. See pictures for condition. The amp powers on and is working. The electronics will need cleaning, the pots are scratchy. Reverb and tremolo working. It will need a new Fuse cap, the one on it works but is make/shift. Pretty cool old amp.

The Fender’65 Twin Reverb Amp is an authentic all-tube reproduction of the original classic! Delivers 85W through two Jensen 12 speakers. It has two channels, tube vibrato, tube spring reverb, tilt-back legs and Blackface cosmetics. Includes two-button footswitch to control reverb and vibrato effects. Order the optional Fender amp cover to protect your investment (see accessory box on this page). Fender Vintage Reissue’65 Twin Reverb 85W 2×12 Guitar Combo Amp. Designed to sound as close to the original as possible, the’65 Reissues are assembled in Corona, California and feature Jensen speakers (One C12K for the Deluxe and two C12Ks for the Twin, four P10Rs for the Super and one C10R for the Princeton), Schumacher transformers, traditional tremolo and tube-driven reverb to create that classic, “Blackface” sound so many players desire. They do have PCBs (Printed Curcuit Boards), as opposed to the original’s “hand-wired” circuitry, but the components (capacitors and resistors) are the same values as amps from that period. They also have hand-wired tube sockets and other parts for added strength. Tonal Characteristics: Bright, scooped midrange that is known as the “Blackface” sound, pronounced “Wine Glass” highs from the Jensen speakers and a slightly more polite power amp for crystal cleans that can also be cranked for great overdriven tones. Who’s it for: Players that love the original versions but are priced out of owning vintage amps, blues players, country players, rock players, guitarists trying to get classic “Blackface” sounds (a la Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer), American-made amp enthusiasts, traditionalists, avid Fender collectors. A “best of both worlds” amp for a player that seeks a like-new appearance, optimal reliability, and a lush, all-tube sound with vintage circuitry, this Bandmaster is a stunning example. This 40 watt Black Panel Fender powerhouse has the powerful, balanced cleans and smooth tube overdrive at high volumes that you expect from a vintage Fender from this era. The cleans are warm and articulate, with Fender’s sparkly top end and the ability to dial in just the right amount of grit and light tube compression. The preamp retains all of the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps, essential to the sweet, musical sound of the Black Panel circuits, and the original Schumacher-made transformers all date to 1965. The Stackpole pots have late’65 date codes, and the tube chart rounds out the applicable dates with a “PB” stamp that translates to February of 1966. Even the original power supply caps are intact and still viable. The tube complement includes a brand new pair of properly biased 6L6 power tube pair, with a host of mostly vintage valves in the preamp from the likes of RCA and Sylvania. The cabinet is stocked with a modern pair of Jensen C12N 12 speakers with immaculate deep green frames and original cones. The cabinet has also been fitted with new sound dampening foam sheets. The head and speaker cabinet have been professionally retolexed with correct smooth black tolex, cut in vintage-correct patterns, along with new silver sparkle grillcloth on both enclosures. Both the head and cabinet retain their original raised “Fender” logos, and the gleaming hardware includes new nickel corners, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), chassis straps, and chrome tilt-back legs. 1962 Magnatone Custom 262 Jupiter Vintage Tube Amp 2x12 Collector-Grade with Tag

Up for sale, a 1962 Magnatone Custom 262 Jupiter vintage tube amplifier in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch and hangtag. Virtually identical to the 260 model, this Estey-era Magnatone was rebranded as the 262 Jupiter for the accordion market who were a large part of Magnatone’s client base in their heyday. The amp features an ostensibly original set of all vintage tubes, with a matched 6L6 General Electric power tube pair, as well as a 2×12 speaker configuration with original Oxfords and lush pitch shifting vibrato. This Magnatone features two channels with individual Volume and EQ controls as well as two-way Tone toggles for each channel. Driven by the aforementioned GE 6L6 power tube pair, the amp has a rich, lush sound capable of delivering both articulate cleans and overdriven roar when pushed hard. Of course at the heart of any Magnatone is their varistor-based true pitch shifting vibrato circuit, which is thick and watery, with a Leslie-esque swirl and unequalled dimension. As a top of the line Magnatone amplifier, the 262 Jupiter has a complex true point-to-point hand-wired circuit which is 100% original save for a couple new resistors and a single capacitor, fully vetted by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The circuit retains all of the original blue Ajax molded caps in the preamp and CTS pots that date to the 21st week of 1962. The original Schumacher transformers are intact, dating between late 1961 and early 1962. The GE 6L6 power tubes are properly biased and sound exquisite, paired with a Sylvania rectifier and preamp tubes from the likes of Telefunken and GE, all with nigh flawless silkscreen text on the glass. The amp retains its original pair of alnico magnet Oxford 12K5 12 drivers with very clean frames and original cones. The date stamps on the frames are from the 22nd week of 1962, matching closely with the pots and transformers. The original brown bindery cloth covering is exceedingly clean, especially notable on a Magnatone given the fragility of this material when compared to Fender’s tolex. There is very light edge wear, mostly relegated to the bottom 20% of the enclosure, and the original grillcloth is intact too with gold sparkle thread and the original Estey badge in the lower right corner of the baffle. The faceplate is quite well kept, with clean silkscreened graphics and all of the original barrel knobs. The amp comes complete with its original wooden wedge footswitch to engage the vibrato, as well as the original two-sided large Magnatone hangtag. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely.
