The Fender’65 Twin Reverb Amp is an authentic all-tube reproduction of the original classic! Delivers 85W through two Jensen 12 speakers. Order the optional Fender amp cover to protect your investment (see accessory box on this page). Fender Vintage Reissue’65 Twin Reverb 85W 2×12 Guitar Combo Amp. Designed to sound as close to the original as possible, the’65 Reissues are assembled in Corona, California and feature Jensen speakers (One C12K for the Deluxe and two C12Ks for the Twin, four P10Rs for the Super and one C10R for the Princeton), Schumacher transformers, traditional tremolo and tube-driven reverb to create that classic, “Blackface” sound so many players desire. They do have PCBs (Printed Curcuit Boards), as opposed to the original’s “hand-wired” circuitry, but the components (capacitors and resistors) are the same values as amps from that period. They also have hand-wired tube sockets and other parts for added strength. Tonal Characteristics: Bright, scooped midrange that is known as the “Blackface” sound, pronounced “Wine Glass” highs from the Jensen speakers and a slightly more polite power amp for crystal cleans that can also be cranked for great overdriven tones. Who’s it for: Players that love the original versions but are priced out of owning vintage amps, blues players, country players, rock players, guitarists trying to get classic “Blackface” sounds (a la Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer), American-made amp enthusiasts, traditionalists, avid Fender collectors. 1966 Fender Bandmaster Vintage Black Panel Piggyback Tube Amp 2x12, Jensen C12N

Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Bandmaster in mint condition and in good working order. A “best of both worlds” amp for a player that seeks a like-new appearance, optimal reliability, and a lush, all-tube sound with vintage circuitry, this Bandmaster is a stunning example. Professionally retolexed and regrilled with vintage-correct materials and patterns, this Bandmaster is loaded with a modern pair of Jensen C12N speakers, while the circuit is 100% original. This 40 watt Black Panel Fender powerhouse has the powerful, balanced cleans and smooth tube overdrive at high volumes that you expect from a vintage Fender from this era. The cleans are warm and articulate, with Fender’s sparkly top end and the ability to dial in just the right amount of grit and light tube compression. The preamp retains all of the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps, essential to the sweet, musical sound of the Black Panel circuits, and the original Schumacher-made transformers all date to 1965. The Stackpole pots have late’65 date codes, and the tube chart rounds out the applicable dates with a “PB” stamp that translates to February of 1966. Even the original power supply caps are intact and still viable. The tube complement includes a brand new pair of properly biased 6L6 power tube pair, with a host of mostly vintage valves in the preamp from the likes of RCA and Sylvania. The cabinet is stocked with a modern pair of Jensen C12N 12 speakers with immaculate deep green frames and original cones. The cabinet has also been fitted with new sound dampening foam sheets. The head and speaker cabinet have been professionally retolexed with correct smooth black tolex, cut in vintage-correct patterns, along with new silver sparkle grillcloth on both enclosures. Both the head and cabinet retain their original raised “Fender” logos, and the gleaming hardware includes new nickel corners, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), chassis straps, and chrome tilt-back legs. You simply won’t find a better vintage Blackface Fender at this price point, and the Bandmaster truly delivers on the promise of the AB763 circuit, with incredible cleans, smooth overdrive and strong tremolo! 1962 Magnatone Custom 262 Jupiter Vintage Tube Amp 2x12 Collector-Grade with Tag

Up for sale, a 1962 Magnatone Custom 262 Jupiter vintage tube amplifier in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch and hangtag. Virtually identical to the 260 model, this Estey-era Magnatone was rebranded as the 262 Jupiter for the accordion market who were a large part of Magnatone’s client base in their heyday. The amp features an ostensibly original set of all vintage tubes, with a matched 6L6 General Electric power tube pair, as well as a 2×12 speaker configuration with original Oxfords and lush pitch shifting vibrato. This Magnatone features two channels with individual Volume and EQ controls as well as two-way Tone toggles for each channel. Driven by the aforementioned GE 6L6 power tube pair, the amp has a rich, lush sound capable of delivering both articulate cleans and overdriven roar when pushed hard. Of course at the heart of any Magnatone is their varistor-based true pitch shifting vibrato circuit, which is thick and watery, with a Leslie-esque swirl and unequalled dimension. As a top of the line Magnatone amplifier, the 262 Jupiter has a complex true point-to-point hand-wired circuit which is 100% original save for a couple new resistors and a single capacitor, fully vetted by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The circuit retains all of the original blue Ajax molded caps in the preamp and CTS pots that date to the 21st week of 1962. The original Schumacher transformers are intact, dating between late 1961 and early 1962. The GE 6L6 power tubes are properly biased and sound exquisite, paired with a Sylvania rectifier and preamp tubes from the likes of Telefunken and GE, all with nigh flawless silkscreen text on the glass. The amp retains its original pair of alnico magnet Oxford 12K5 12 drivers with very clean frames and original cones. The date stamps on the frames are from the 22nd week of 1962, matching closely with the pots and transformers. The original brown bindery cloth covering is exceedingly clean, especially notable on a Magnatone given the fragility of this material when compared to Fender’s tolex. There is very light edge wear, mostly relegated to the bottom 20% of the enclosure, and the original grillcloth is intact too with gold sparkle thread and the original Estey badge in the lower right corner of the baffle. The faceplate is quite well kept, with clean silkscreened graphics and all of the original barrel knobs. The amp comes complete with its original wooden wedge footswitch to engage the vibrato, as well as the original two-sided large Magnatone hangtag. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1965 Fender Bassman Black Panel Piggyback Vintage Tube Amp Head & 2x12 Cab AA165

Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Bassman head and matching 2×12 cab in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This vintage Black Panel Fender amp is very original, and the grillcloth on the head and cabinet is among the nicest we’ve seen. For clarity, warmth, and headroom, this Bassman excels at delivering sweet and articulate Fender clean tones. Once you reach about 5 on the volume dial, the circuit starts to overdrive smoothly and compress a bit, for a raw, thick sound that’s perfect for guitar or bass. It’s a simple and pure vintage Fender “piggyback” head and cab setup that provides a perfect platform for effect pedals and is ready for stage and studio use. Arguably the circuit available for the briefest period of time in the Black Panel era, the AA165 circuit designation is seen on many tube charts (Leo Fender was never one to waste anything), but under the hood, the actual AA165 circuit was only seen for a number of months in’65 before transitioning to the AB165 that would be seen through 1968. This amp is one of few to retain the original AA165 guts. The circuit retains all of the original transformers which date to early 1965 along with the CTS pots and chassis stamp. Both the preamp and power amp have been thoroughly maintained, with new Sprague Atom main filter caps and smaller Mallory caps in the preamp to ensure that the amp is operating within original factory spec. The amp features a modern three-prong power cable as well. On the inside of the head cabinet, the original tube chart is present with an “OG” date stamp which translates to July of 1965. The speaker cab is loaded with a pair of vintage Utah 12 speakers. These speakers are detailed, clear, and quite punchy, overdriving with very rich and balanced overtones. Tested against vintage pairs of Oxfords and Jensens, these Utahs were a surprise favorite, and the original black frames are quite clean, retaining the blue foil Fender labels on the magnets. Cosmetically, this is a clean and well cared for Bassman with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. All of the original hardware is present, including the tilt-back chrome legs, nickel corners, handles, sphinx glides (feet), and raised Fender logos. The original faceplate is also quite clean and complete with original witch hat knobs. There’s a bit of patina on the hardware, and some expected scuffs and minor wear around the edges of the enclosures, but as the photos show, this Bassman presents very well and would look great in a studio collection. This Bassman is clean, complete, and works exactly as intended for delivering powerful Fender cleans and thick overdriven textures. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. Fender Vintage Pro Reverb Blackface 1966 2x12 Guitar Tube Amplifier Very Clean

Here we have a beautiful vintage Fender Pro Reverb amplifier from 1966. Made in the USA. The Pro Reverb is a 2×12 all tube guitar combo amplifier. It is essentially half of a “Twin Reverb” It is a 40 watt amplifier and it sounds so sweet. The beauty of the Pro Reverb is you can turn it up to 6 or 7 for a gig or recording and get that sweet spot. The amplifier is in very very clean condition. So please take a look at all the photos and if you have any questions feel free to ask. There is some light seem splitting at the corners but no major tears or rips. The amplifier has been re-capped and also has had a 3 prong plug added and the death cap removed. The speakers are the original Jensen C12′s. One dates to 1965 and one dates to 1964. The faceplate on this amp seems to be a pre- CBS as it says “Fender Electric Instrument Co”. Most likely it was a leftover faceplate when this amp was built in 1966. The transformers and chassis serial number all date to 1966. The original foot switch is included but one of the buttons is a bit fussy. It works but can be intermittent. The amp has had a recent check up by our amp technician and has been given a clean bill of health. Now for the sound… What can we say really… It is a vintage Pro Reverb and it sounds sweet to the ears. You can really juice this one up and get the beautiful breakup that we all crave. The reverb sounds great as most of the blackface amps do. The Vibrato is working great too. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and of course feel free to Make Us and Offer! Please note that this is out of our hands. Feel free to send a message if you have any questions. We are a full service music store in the Long Island, NY Area. 1973 Fender Twin Reverb Silverface Vintage 2x12 Tube Amp, Clean & Original

Up for sale, a 1973 Fender Twin Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order with a 100% original circuit. Loaded with a pair of unusual and early Eminence/Fender ceramic 12 drivers and a near complete set of original RCA tubes, this amp lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. Perfect not only for guitar, the Twin is an excellent choice for any scenario where headroom is a must, performing equally well with a pedal steel or your favorite Rhodes piano. The circuit is untouched, right down to the original power supply caps, and all of the original Schumacher transformers date between the 26th and 29th weeks of 1973. All of the original CTS pots are present as well, dating to’73. The chassis has a clean faceplate and full compliment of original knobs. The tube compliment includes three RCA 6L6s in the power section with one substituted Realistic-branded valve that does the part to round out the quad, while the preamp is outfitted with the full set of original matched RCA valves. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is intact, and the pair of Eminence-manufactured 12 speakers have clean brown/gold Fender labels on the ceramic magnets, with clean black frames and viable cones. These speakers are a prototypical pair for Eminence, aping the look of the earlier Jensens seen in Fender’s Blackface-era Twins, yet undoubtedly original, given the matching 1973 date stamps on the edges of the frames. The smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth is quite clean, as is all of the original hardware, save for an MIA set of tilt-back legs. A great platform for effects pedals too, the cleans on this Pro are balanced, clear, and warm. Of course once you reach around 5 on the volume dial, things start to compress slightly, and you get that dynamic, glassy sound that adds just the right amount of grit to your tone. The tube-driven Reverb has plenty of splash and dimension, and the Tremolo has a strong, smooth pulse and wide range of speeds. The circuit has just been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, and the preamp is extremely original, retaining nearly all of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors which are a hallmark of the sweet, musical character of the Blackface-era amps. The preamp features new small bias and bypass capacitors, and the stock CTS pots are all intact as well, dating to late’65. All of the original transformers are intact, manufactured by Schumacher, dating to the last weeks of 1965. The power supply has been freshly recapped with Sprague Atoms, and a modern three-prong power cable has been installed. The tube compliment includes a pair of JJ 6L6 power tubes, along with a Sovtek 5AR4 rectifier, and an assortment of modern valves in the preamp from the likes of Sovtek and JJ. The speakers are the original pair of Utah-made and Fender-branded 12 ceramic drivers with matching date codes from the 18th week of’66. The original speaker harness is intact too. The tube chart is fully intact with crisp corners. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth is intact, with some modest edge wear and a couple bald corners on the enclosure, as well as aging of the grill. The stock hardware includes the original tilt back legs, chassis straps, corners, handle, and sphinx glides (feet). This Pro Reverb has freshly biased tubes and sounds every bit as good as a Blackface Fender should. The original two-button footswitch for engaging the Reverb and Tremolo is included.
