Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Bassman head with accompanying tall 2×12 speaker cabinet in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This fully serviced vintage Fender head has transitional “drip edge” aluminum trim and an early Silverface faceplate. Recently retubed and biased with a pair of Tung Sol 6L6 power tubes, the circuit has been “Blackfaced” and reverted to the original and most revered AA864 design. The amp has a clear, powerful Fender tone that’s ideal for use with guitar or bass. The perfect platform for players who use a variety of pedals, the Bassman delivers a robust and dynamic tone, and after around 5 on the Volume dial the amp starts to push into smooth, lightly compressed tube overdrive. The circuit features the original power transformer and choke produced by Fender’s primary vintage transformer supplier, Schumacher, while the output transformer is a vintage-spec replacement, also Fender-branded and produced by Schumacher. The circuit features a professional recap of the power supply with new Sprague Atoms, as well as a new bias capacitor and a few new caps in the preamp to ensure everything is operating within original factory spec. All of the original CTS pots are intact, dating as far back as early’68. A three-prong power cable has been installed as well. The chassis itself is quite clean, with a stunning Silverface faceplate, turquoise lettering, and original black witch hat knobs. The original tube chart is also present inside the head cabinet. The cabinet is loaded with the original pair of Utah-made Fender-branded speakers with immaculate black frames, original cones, and clean orange and silver foil labels on the ceramic magnets. The cab is 100% stock and sounds great, perfectly amplifying the bold, round cleans and smooth drive of the Blackfaced AA864 Bassman circuit. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe are intact on the head as well. The stock corners, handle caps, and sphinx glides (feet) are also intact. The piggyback clip bars are present too, but do not connect to this vertical cab configuration. Cosmetically, the head and cab show some minor scuffs and edge wear, but as the photos can attest, this vintage Fender presents very well. Freshly retubed and recapped and reverted to the coveted AA864 Bassman circuit, this vintage Bassman head and 2×12 cab delivers the goods in an imposing, gig-worthy package. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. You are looking at a Vintage 1960′s Lafayette by Univox U-320 2×12 All Tube Combo Amp. Univox was the builder on Lafayette amps. They are virtually a clone of Univox. These amps are real sleepers. They have great Tone. Lafayette was a budget economy amp back in the 1960′s, but just like Valco they are appreciated for their Tone. We have upgraded this amp with 2 Jensen C12R speakers. These speakers provide warm low and mid response with smooth/bright highs. When presented with overdrive distortion, it presents smooth crunch with low-end focus. If you are after that mid sixties trashy rock tone, this amp will do the trick. Our Amp Tech just serviced this amp. You won’t have to spend any additional monies on it. Gig Ready on Arrival! Keep in mind that this is a 55+ year old vintage amp that has been used. There are scuffs, scratches and minor tears in the tolex. Some light scratches on the instrument control bezel. 1962 Magnatone 260, Lyric-Branded Model 262 Vintage Tube Amp 2x12 with Vibrato

Up for sale, a 1962 Lyric-branded Magnatone vintage tube amplifier, recently serviced and in perfect working order. Virtually identical to the 260 model, this Estey-era Magnatone was rebranded as the Lyric model 262, likely for one of the many accordion companies who worked closely with Magnatone in their heyday. The amp features a mostly vintage tube set with a matched 6L6 General Electric power tube pair, as well as a 2×12 speaker configuration with original Oxfords and lush pitch shifting vibrato. This Magnatone features two channels with individual Volume and EQ controls as well as two-way Tone toggles for each channel. Driven by the aforementioned GE 6L6 power tube pair, the amp has a rich, lush sound capable of delivering both articulate cleans and overdriven roar. Of course at the heart of any Magnatone is their varistor-based true pitch shifting vibrato circuit, which is thick and watery, with a Leslie-esque swirl and unequalled dimension. As a top of the line Magnatone amplifier, the Lyric 262 has a complex true point-to-point hand-wired circuit which has been recently serviced and fully recapped to sound its best, balancing originality and functionality. The circuit retains all of the original blue Ajax molded caps in the preamp and CTS pots that date to the 21st week of 1962. All of the original Schumacher transformers are intact including a power transformer that dates to the 34th week of 1962 and an output transformer that dates to the 22nd week of 1962. The power tubes are properly biased and have plenty of life left, and a GE rectifier and combination of original GE valves and newer Tung Sols round out the preamp tube compliment. The amp retains its original speakers, which are a pair of Oxford 12K5s that date to the 32nd week of 1962. The original brown bindery cloth covering shows the requisite scuffs and edge wear common with Magnatone amps, and the original grillcloth is intact too with gold sparkle thread and the original Estey badge in the lower right corner of the baffle. The faceplate is quite well kept, with clean silkscreened graphics and all of the original barrel knobs. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1965 Fender Pro Reverb Blackface Vintage Tube Amplifier 2x12 with Footswitch

Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Pro Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order with the original two-button footswitch. Providing the general tonal character of a Twin Reverb, but boasting a tube rectifier and more manageable 40 watts of power, the Pro Reverb is a 2×12 amplifier with enough volume for large ensemble situations and the perfect balance between shimmering Blackface cleans and smooth, touch-sensitive overdrive. A great platform for effects pedals too, the cleans on this Pro are balanced, clear, and warm. Of course once you reach around 5 on the volume dial, things start to compress slightly, and you get that dynamic, glassy sound that adds just the right amount of grit to your tone. The tube-driven Reverb has plenty of splash and dimension, and the tremolo has a strong, smooth pulse and wide range of speeds. Very original and well maintained, this Pro Reverb is ready for stage and studio use! The circuit is extremely original, with the original compliment of Schumacher-made transformers, dating between the 13th and 23rd weeks of’65. The stock CTS pots are all intact as well, dating to early’65, and the chassis stamp notes a 1965 build date as well. The preamp retains all of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors which are a hallmark of the Blackface tone, as well as new bias and bypass caps to ensure optimal operation. Even the original power supply caps are intact and still functioning well. A modern three-prong power cable has been installed, and the amp is loaded with all modern valves including a pair of matched JJ 6L6s and a GZ34 rectifier. The speakers are a pair of vintage Fender-labeled CTS 12 speakers which date to 1979. The tube chart is fully intact, with an “OI” date stamp that translates to September of 1965. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth is intact and in remarkable shape. The cloth has only light aging, and the tolex shows only some minor scuffs and nicks on the edges of the enclosure. The stock hardware is in great shape including original tilt back legs, chassis straps, corners, sphinx glides (feet), and handle. This Pro Reverb has fresh tubes, a very original circuit, and sounds every bit as good as a Blackface Fender should! The original two-button footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1967 Fender Bassman Vintage Blackface Piggyback Tube Amp 2x12 AB165 Circuit

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Bassman head and matching 2×12 cab excellent condition and in perfect working order. This vintage Blackface Fender amp features a well-maintained and very original circuit, with stock transformers and a fresh recap of the power supply. The AB165 circuit delivers clarity, warmth, and headroom, and this Bassman excels at sweet and articulate Fender clean tones with the distinctive punch of the accompanying 2×12 closed-back cabinet design. Once you reach about 5 on the volume dial, the circuit starts to overdrive smoothly and compress a bit, for a raw, thick sound that’s perfect for guitar or bass. It’s a simple and pure vintage Fender “piggyback” head and cab setup that provides a perfect platform for effect pedals, and is ready for stage and studio use. The AB165 circuit retains all of the original Schumacher transformers which date to late’66. The stock CTS pots date to early 1966 as well, while the chassis stamp puts the amp’s manufacture at early’67. The preamp retains the full compliment of original blue molded Ajax caps, as well as a few new smaller bypass and bias caps to ensure optimal operation. The power amp has also been professionally recapped with top-tier F&T capacitors, and the power cable changed to a modern three-prong. On the inside of the head cabinet, the original tube chart is present with a “QD” date stamp which translates to April of 1967. The speaker cab is loaded with a pair of vintage Fender-branded 12 drivers including one Oxford and one Utah made speaker with nearly identical black frames and original blue foil Fender labels on the ceramic magnets. The speakers deliver a bold and smooth sound with ideal punch and top end detail without being overly bright. Cosmetically, this is a clean and well cared for Bassman with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth on both the head and speaker cabinet. There are some expected small scuffs and nicks on the edges of the enclosures, but no serious wear of any kind, and this amp would look great in a studio collection. All of the original hardware is present, including the tilt-back chrome legs, nickel corners, handles, sphinx glides (feet), and Fender logos. The faceplate is also quite clean and complete with original witch hat knobs. There’s a bit of localized patina and light surface rust on the tilt-back legs and bottom corners of the cabinet, but that’s about the extent of any wear. This Bassman is clean, complete, and works exactly as intended for delivering powerful Fender cleans and thick overdriven textures. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Bassman head and matching 2×12 cab loaded with Oxford 12T6 speakers in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This vintage Blackface Fender amp is a rare transitional model with a larger cabinet meant to be oriented vertically, yet still smaller than the Silverface cabinets seen by’68. For clarity, warmth, and headroom, this Bassman excels at delivering sweet and articulate Fender clean tones, and the increased cabinet size boosts the low end response. The AB165 circuit retains all of the original Schumacher transformers which all date to 1967 along with the chassis stamp, while the CTS pots date back to’66. All of the original blue molded Ajax caps are present in the virtually untouched preamp, while the bias cap and main filter caps have been freshly replaced with top tier Spragues to guarantee decades of future, trouble-free performance. A modern three-prong power cable has been installed too. On the inside of the head cabinet, the original tube chart is clean and intact with a “QF” date stamp which translates to June of 1967. The speaker cab is loaded with a pair of vintage, factory-spec Oxford 12T6 speakers which date to’72, and these 12 drivers are a perfect compliment for the Blackface Bassman. These speakers are detailed, clear, and well-balanced, overdriving with very rich and balanced overtones. The frames are near mint, the original blue foil Fender labels are present, and both speakers have their original cones. Cosmetically, this is a clean and well cared for Bassman with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth on both the head and speaker cabinet. There are only a few small scuffs and nicks on the edges of the enclosures, and this amp would look great in a studio collection. All of the original hardware is present, including the nickel corners, handles, sphinx glides (feet), and Fender logos. The faceplate is also quite clean and complete with original witch hat knobs. There’s a bit of light patina on the hardware as well as aging of the grillcloth, but that’s about the extent of any wear! This Bassman is clean, complete, and works exactly as intended for delivering powerful Fender cleans and thick overdriven textures.
