Pulled from a WORKING pair of W3M tube amplifiers, driving 6L6GC pairs in each. Amps (which are not included, nor are the tubes) were gone through and recapped last year. I bought the amps for the tubes, as I needed them. Parting out now the amplifiers (and other items from the lot). 1 One of them was custom mounted to the chassis, as they relocated one of the caps. They bent the tab that mounts the transformer to the chassis. I tried to bend it back, but it is solid. They must have a metal bending tool. You will need to rebend. I tried with a strong set of grips, and while it moves, I just didn’t trust myself. Obviously not an issue that affects performance, just the way it is mounted. If you are handy, or have some experience bending metal, you can certainly get it back. 2 other one had some wax on the underside, and the wires. Likely a bad wax cap over the years melted. You can likely wipe it off… I did, and some came off. Didn’t spend too much time with it though (like literally 10 seconds). Should clean up nice. These are superb, working TO-300 transformers. Pairs are getting super hard to find (as are singles). Very heavy, will be double boxed to ensure they make the transit.

The output transformers are the sough-after Acrosound TO-330 As far as I can tell, they are in original configuration. I hooked them up on a variac, set up to 80v. Both powered up OK. One amp generated hum sound but did pass music through to the connected speaker. The other didn’t produce music nor hum. On this amp, the connected speaker did produce cracking noise as I wiggle the small tubes. So, at least, the output and power transformers are all good. By visual inspection, I can tell they are reasonably nice; no signs of abuse, burn, damage. Shot me any questions and I’ll try to answer. I have other audio equipment, like. Offered here is a vintage Acrosound Ultra-Linear output transformer, Type TO-310, manufactured in the USA by Acro Electronic Products Co. Acrosound transformers are highly regarded for wide bandwidth, excellent balance, and use in classic push-pull tube amplifier designs. The TO-310 is a desirable model for restoration projects and high-quality DIY builds. Metal cover shows cosmetic wear, scuffs, and paint loss consistent with age (see photos). Original cloth-covered leads with typical age-related wear. Leads retain factory number tags, which aid identification. Mounting base is solid and straight. Electrical Checks (DC Resistance). The transformer has been checked for continuity and DCR only using a digital multimeter. Blue stripe? Green stripe: 98.8? Blue? Green: 118.9? Tan #1? Green stripe: 38.8? Tan #2? Blue: 152.9? Tap 1? 2: 0.7? Tap 1? 3: 0.4? Tap 1? 4: 0.4? Readings are consistent with a multi-tap ultra-linear output transformer and indicate intact windings. Continuity and resistance checks only. No signal, load, or in-circuit testing performed. Transformer has not been powered. Genuine vintage Acrosound iron (not a reproduction). This is not available for international buyers. I will almost certainly send it in two separate packages since one piece is extremely heavy. You get all three pieces as seen in the first photograph and then I give you a lot of detailed photographs of each piece. There is a complex cord that looks like the pin output of a vacuum tube that goes between two of the pieces. Very rare amplifier setup with separate control module and preamp output stage. The backbone of this system is the valuable TO-300 transformer which is labeled as an 18 Watt output variety. There’s a complex interconnect cord as well as a four prong cable that connects the two units together. I don’t dare test this or plug it in because I know a lot of people like to test these on a variac. I give you a lot of photos there is some discoloration and wear on the metal chassis of both units but the toggle switch moves freely into its three positions and the tube plugs don’t look cracked or damaged. Half of the knobs on the control unit turned freely and some have meaningful resistance. You can see some framing of the four prong cable but you’ve got multiple RCA outputs and a power lamp indicator the primary tubes on the larger unit are ge 61-43 / 188-5.
