MORE PICTURES BELOW IN THIS LISTING! Thanks for checking out our listing and please scroll way down to see other quality images of this item!!! Special valuable vintage guitars, amps, electronics, and other items without their original packaging often require larger or heavier boxes to protect them on their way to you. All MusicGearama item listings for musical instruments, gear, electronics and audio equipment are tested and in great functioning and sounding order unless otherwise noted. We’re maniacs about honest and no surprise item descriptions with good pictures of reality and all pictures shown are for the actual sale item. Thanks for checking out our listing! Looks to me like the nicest example of an all-original Vintage 1964 Fender Deluxe Reverb Blackface seen here in awhile. Aside from the merest of corner rub on the otherwise perfect tolex, this iconic tube amplifier is absolutely as she came from Fullerton Fender Electric shop the year the Beatles invaded America. At worst, there’s just a little bit of clean-up to do on the dust and dust bunnies on the tolex and interior. We did a bit of simple water wipe up and I will leave the serious restorative process up to her new owner’s requirements as she’s perfect under the dust! But, aside from the missing dual footswitch, the amp is in pristine 100% untouched shape. Original everything, the faceplate is immaculate, the tolex is very near mint, and the grille and all else is totally in order. After these pictures, the amplifier received a complete recap using F & T Electrolytic and Sprague Atom capacitors. Hoopla and Whoop do doo aside, these are just the most amazing 22 watts of tube ever conceived by homo sapiens and this is the nicest example ever! Contact with questions or for a Skype! All international sales are final. Represent the highest standard of honesty, fine and accurately described musical gear, and best-in-class customer service. We do our best to provide detailed pictures and complete item descriptions in our listings. 1964 Fender Tremolux Vintage Pre-CBS Blackface Piggyback Tube Amp, Blonde

Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Tremolux in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The very first Blackface-era iteration of the Tremolux with its “Fender Electric Instruments” faceplate, smooth blonde tolex and gold sparkle grillcloth, this visually stunning amp offers a broad range of sparkling cleans and rich overdrive textures. Extremely original with the stock pair of Oxford speakers, the tone is stunning and quintessential Blackface Fender, with the perfect amount of clean headroom before the amp cascades into slightly compressed tube overdrive around 5 on the volume dial. The vibrato has a strong pulse, and each channel has a similar voicing, although the Normal channel has just a touch more low end and midrange punch. The preamp is extremely original, retaining all of the blue molded Ajax caps which are essential to the sweet, musical character of Fender’s Blackface-era circuits. The transformers (manufactured by Schumacher, Fender’s primary transformer supplier in the’60s) include the original power transformer and choke which both date to 1963, while the output transformer is a genuine Tremolux transformer which was substituted at some point in the amp’s life and dates to early 1965. It’s entirely possible that this is an early, factory-installed transformer. The CTS pots are all intact, with visible date codes from the 7th week of’64. The power supply features a full compliment of vintage Sprague Atoms, and the power cable has been upgraded to a modern three-prong variety. The power tubes are a matched pair of Sovtek 5881s (6L6s), and the preamp tubes and 5AR4 rectifier are all vintage valves from the likes of Amperex and RCA. The tube chart is intact with only light wear and a clean “NE” date stamp, which translates to May of 1964. The speaker cab boasts the original pair of Oxford 10K5 ceramic magnet speakers. These speakers have clean black frames and have both been professionally reconed, with matching date stamps from the 5th week of 1964. All of the original fiberglass baffling is intact inside the cabinet too. The amp has its original smooth blonde tolex and gold sparkle grillcloth, a cosmetic combination only available for a few short months at the end of 1963 leading into the first half of’64. The tolex shows only very minor scuffing and edge wear, and the grillcloth has plenty of sparkle left in the thread. Both original raised Fender logos are intact, and the faceplate is very well-kept, retaining its full compliment of original witch hat knobs. All of the original hardware is accounted for including handle caps, nickel corners, sphinx glides (feet), and piggyback clipbars and threaded cabinet inserts. A modern one-button footswitch is included to engage the tremolo, along with a reproduction Fender speaker cable. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1967 Fender Twin Reverb Blackface Vintage Tube Amp 2x12 with Oxford 12T6 Speakers

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Twin Reverb in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. A freshly serviced and very original example, this Twin’s condition is all the more uncommon given its size. While Fender’s smaller combos of the era can occasionally be found in pristine shape, it’s significantly rarer to find Fender’s gig-worthy large combos (which generally saw much rougher usage) as well-kept as this example. This Twin delivers warm, articulate cleans with ample bass response, a wide-ranging and responsive EQ, and present, sparkling Fender top end. When it comes to the quintessential Blackface Fender amp for clarity, headroom, and the balanced, authoritative response of a four 6L6 driven tube amp, it’s hard to beat the Twin. The tube-driven Reverb effect has incredibly depth and splash, and the Tremolo has a strong pulse with a wide range of speeds. It’s as iconic a design as Leo Fender ever created, also very well-suited to amplifying pedal steel or electric piano in the vein of a Wurlitzer or Fender Rhodes. The circuit is extremely clean and straight, with all of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors in the preamp, a key part of the sweet, musical character of the Blackface-era preamps. The preamp features just a few new electrolytic caps, and even the original Mallory main filter caps are intact and still viable. The power tubes are a quad of properly biased Sovtek 5881WTX (6L6), and the preamp tubes are all matched modern Sovtek-branded valves as well. All of the original Schumacher-made transformers are intact, all dating to mid-1967, and the original CTS pots have visible date codes from the 51st week of’66. The speakers are a matched pair of vintage Oxford 12T6s, both featuring original cones and dating a hair earlier than the amp, with date codes on the frames from the 49th week of’65. These speakers easily handle the power of the Twin, and the speaker harness is original too. The tube chart is intact, stamped with a bold “QH” date code which translates to October of 1967. The original black tolex is exceptionally clean, with sparingly little wear on the edges of the enclosure. The silver sparkle grillcloth shows only modest darkening over the decades, with one small hole that has been cleanly patched from the backside with matching cloth. The faceplate is notably well-kept, retaining its full compliment of original witch hat knobs, and the original backplate is intact too, with the SSN of a previous owner etched into the plate. All of the original hardware is present, including the chrome tilt back legs, nickel corners, sphinx glides, handle, and raised Fender logo on the amp’s face. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. All original except for the transformer. When I received the amp it was out and broken so I replaced it with the proper mojo tone model. I still have the original transformer and it is included with the sale. Has 2 RCA power, 1 GE Rectifier, 1 RCA Preamp and the last preamp tube I’m not sure, it says made in Great Britain but no logo. Great sounding amp, no issues. The item “1965 Fender Princeton Amp All Tube 1×10 12 Watt Combo Blackface Vintage Guitar” is in sale since Tuesday, February 2, 2021. 1969 Fender Pro Reverb Drip Edge Vintage Tube Amp 2x12 with Blackface Circuit

Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Pro Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, freshly recapped and retubed. A transitional model with “drip edge” aluminum trim and Silverface cosmetics, this amp still retains the same AA165 circuitry as its Blackface predecessor, as well as being one of the last Pros to retain the screwed-in baffle, a tonally impactful feature phased out by’70. Providing the general tonal character of a Twin Reverb, but boasting a tube rectifier and more manageable 40 watts of power, the Pro Reverb is a 2×12 amplifier with enough volume for large ensemble situations and the perfect balance between shimmering Blackface cleans and smooth, touch-sensitive overdrive. A great platform for effects pedals too, the cleans on this Pro are balanced, clear, and warm. Of course once you reach around 5 on the volume dial, things start to compress slightly, and you get that dynamic, glassy sound that adds just the right amount of grit to your tone. The tube-driven Reverb has plenty of splash and dimension, and the Tremolo has a strong, smooth pulse and wide range of speeds. The circuit has just been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, and the preamp is loaded with low-noise metal film resistors, original brown molded capacitors, and modern Sprague electrolytics. All of the stock CTS pots are intact, with visible date codes from 1967-68. The original power and output transformers are intact, along with the original choke, all manufactured by Schumacher and dating between mid-1968 and early’69. The small reverb transformer is a modern replacement. The power supply has been freshly recapped with Sprague Atoms, and a modern three-prong power cable has been installed. The tube compliment includes a pair of JJ 6L6 power tubes, along with a JJ GZ34 rectifier, and an assortment of mostly JJ valves in the preamp as well. The speakers are the original pair of Utah-made and Fender-branded 12 ceramic drivers with matching date codes from the 47th week of’68. The original speaker harness is intact too, as is the tube chart. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe is intact, and the tolex is extremely clean, while the grillcloth shows modest, uniform aging. The stock hardware includes the original tilt back legs, chassis straps, corners, handle, and sphinx glides (feet). Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1963 Fender Vibroverb Vintage Blackface Pre-CBS Tube Amp 1x15 with JBL D130F, Ftsw

Up for sale, a 1963 Fender Vibroverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order. An extremely original and stunningly clean example of Fender’s rarest and most desirable Blackface amp, the Vibroverb was only made in the Pre-CBS Fender era, lasting from late-1963 through’64. This is one of the very first Vibroverbs made, with an extremely low A003XX serial number, Production Run #1 stamp on the tube chart, transformers dating between Fall 1962 and Summer’63, and even a brown two-button footswitch, an exceedingly rare accessory only officially offered with the Brownface 2×10 Vibroverbs produced a few months before this Blackface model began production. Perhaps best known for its association with Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Vibroverb delivers 40 tube watts via a pair of 6L6 power tubes and a JBL D130F speaker. The tone is clear and powerful, with dynamic Fender cleans that sparkle and twang. The highly efficient JBL speaker keeps things clean and tight, with very little speaker cone distortion even at high volumes, letting the light compression and velvety tube overdrive of the circuit be heard with stunning clarity when you push the amp near 10 on the volume dial. The Reverb has plenty of splash and dimension with a long decay, and the Vibrato (technically tremolo) has a strong, smooth pulse. The circuit is extremely clean and stock, with all of the original Schumacher-made transformers intact. The rare open bell output transformer dates to the 42nd week of’62, while the choke and power transformer date to the 7th and 27th weeks of’63 respectively. Visible date codes on the Stackpole pots date to the 18th week of’63. The preamp retains its full compliment of original blue molded Ajax caps, a key ingredient of the sweet, musical sound of Fender’s Blackface circuits. The power supply features a professional recap of the main filters with F&T caps, and the smaller bypass caps in the preamp have been upgraded as well, along with the bias cap and pot. The original two-prong gray power cable is still intact. The tubes consist of a modern pair of Sovtek 5881 (6L6) power tubes, with a genuine vintage Mullard GZ34 rectifier and a host of modern and vintage valves in the preamp including a few RCAs. The tube chart is intact and very clean, with crisp corners and an “MK” date stamp for November of 1963. The original JBL D130F speaker has a recone with a WHF cone and proper aluminum dust cap, and the speaker has a full, robust sound with no voice coil rub and incredible articulation. Cosmetically, this amp is an absolute stunner which has likely lived its life in the studio, due to the absence of any notable cosmetic wear. The stock smooth black tolex is exceedingly clean, and the original silver sparkle grillcloth has only aged sparingly, with lots of sparkle left in the thread. The original hardware is all intact and clean, with only the faintest patina on a couple of the corners and on the original Pat. This is a collector-grade and well maintained vintage Fender Vibroverb, ideal for the stage, studio and discerning player! The original brown two-button Reverb/Vibrato footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! 1967 Fender Super Reverb Blackface Vintage Tube Amp 4x10 CTS Alnico, Serviced

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Super Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The amp features its original quad of alnico 10 CTS speakers, pushing 40 watts of pure Fender Blackface clean tone via a pair of 6L6 power tubes. Perfect for gigging situations and an ideal recording amplifier, the amp provides pristine, muscly Fender cleans until you hit the 4-5 range on the volume dial, where a bit of tube and speaker breakup sends the amp into smooth overdrive. The Reverb is lush and deep, and the Tremolo has a nice pulse, with everything from swampy and slow to machine gun fast pulses. The circuit boasts a well-maintained preamp, retaining all of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps central to the smooth, musical character of Fender’s Blackface amps. All of the original CTS pots are intact, with visible date codes from’66, and the preamp is untouched save for a few small electrolytic caps. The power cable has been upgraded to a modern three-prong for safety’s sake, and the power supply features fresh high quality Sprague Atom filter caps. The amp features a pair of matched Sovtek 5881 (6L6) power tubes, along with a Groove Tubes 5U4 rectifier and a combination of modern and vintage valves in the preamp. The chassis itself is very clean, as is the original faceplate and stock witch hat knobs. The original quartet of CTS alnico speakers are intact, all with clean frames and original blue foil Fender stickers on the magnets. The original speaker harness is present, as is the tube chart which has a QH date stamp, translating to August of 1967. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are in remarkable shape, with only very minor wear around the edges of the cabinet and one small snag on the grillcloth near the lower edge of the baffle. The original nickel corners, sphinx glides (feet), chassis straps, chrome pat. Pending tilt-back legs, and raised “Fender” logo are present, and all hardware is in excellent shape. This well-maintained and cosmetically clean vintage Super Reverb has been serviced to sound its best and run reliably for years to come, with modern power tubes and a clean bill of health. 1968 Fender Princeton Reverb Drip Edge Vintage Tube Amp with Blackface Circuit

Up for sale, a 1968 Fender Princeton Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch. A transitional “drip edge/black line” example, this amp features a set of unique cosmetic cues including a small tail-less Fender logo, aluminum trim framing the grillcloth, and thin vertical black lines on the early Silverface faceplate, denoting a Princeton Reverb which retains the same circuitry and components as its Blackface era predecessor. Freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, the Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions. This classic Fender AA764 Blackface circuit delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is extremely lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The circuit retains the original pair of transformers manufactured for Fender by Better Coil & Transformer, dating between late 1967 and the first weeks of’68. The preamp boasts most of the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps (an essential part of the Blackface sound), along with a few replacement caps, smaller top shelf Sprague electrolytics, and low-noise metal film resistors. The larger multi-section can cap in the power supply has also been recently replaced to ensure trouble-free performance, and the power cable has been upgraded to the modern three-prong variety. All of the original pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 2nd week of’68. The tubes consist of a matched pair of JJ 6V6s with an JJ GZ34 rectifier and a bevy of modern and vintage valves in the preamp. The speaker is the original Oxford 10J4 with a black frame and blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The speaker retains the original speaker harness as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender “F” cap. The tube chart is mostly intact and quite aged, with some tape on the edges. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe are intact, with a few bald corners on the otherwise very clean tolex, and light, uniform aging of the grill. The original faceplate shows a speckling of light wear with a full compliment of witch hat knobs, and the hardware includes original chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and small raised Fender tail-less logo. This vintage Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 50 years of use. The amp comes complete with the original black two-button footswitch to engage the Reverb and Vibrato effects. Dynamic, responsive, and absolutely huge sounding when you put a microphone in front of it, it’s hard to beat the Vibro Champ for pure simplicity and great tone. And of course, Fender’s lush sounding tremolo circuit has a strong pulse and wide range of speeds, perfect for subtle shifts in volume or machine gun chop. The preamp is largely original, with new caps and low-noise metal film resistors substituted as needed to keep the amp operating optimally and running quietly. The stock Schumacher-made transformer pair is intact, dating between late 1964 and early’65. Visible date codes on the CTS pots date to the 8th week of’65, and the chassis stamp is from 1965. The tube chart is intact, with an “OG” code which translates to July of 1965. The tube compliment includes a JJ 6V6 power tube, a pair of Mullard-branded preamp tubes, and a vintage JAN/Phillips 5Y3 rectifier. The speaker is a vintage’70s era Fender-branded Oxford 8 with a clean Fender stamp on the alnico magnet. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are intact, with some aging of the gloss and one snag below the Fender logo. The faceplate is well-kept, complete with its full compliment of witch hat knobs. The stock handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and chassis straps are all intact, and the hardware shows sparingly little surface patina. This Vibro Champ is an ideal example of Blackface tone that sure to delight both collectors and serious players. A modern Fender footswitch to engage the vibrato is included, along with a padded cover. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions!
