VHT special 6 hand wired combo amp for sale. This is all tube 6 watt class A hand wired amp with 1x10VHT 50 watt speaker. Pre amp section (1) 12AX7 preamp tube, power amp section (1) 6V6 output tube. Great amp for home studio, practice or small venue shows. The amp is in a very good condition except two dings, one in the bottom front and another on the middle back side as shown on the pics. The Vintage 16 is the low-wattage, “boutique” recording tube amp so many players are looking for. Everything about this little amp “oozes” tone. The SOAK control goes from stout clean tones with rich midrange body to a filling upper-midrange snarl defining its tweed sound. The ALL tube design incorporates V1 12AX7 preamp and two EL84 output tubes. The power amp in its normal “PENTODE” mode puts out a crisp 16 watts. The “TRIODE” mode produces 5 watts of incredibly sweet spongy harmonics, ideal for both mic’d recording and small stage rigs. Selectable 8 ohm/16 ohm impedance switch, along with silent mode for line-out operation. Made to last, with a quality plywood enclosure covered in vintage tweed. This is a beautiful handmade/hand wired boutique vintage style amp made locally by a maker with 20+ years of building experience. It has a gain structure similar to a vintage Fender, Marshall, and Mesa Boogie. It’s really a nice amp that is made to be cranked up. It’s perfect for a band setting. I have too much music gear and need to start downsizing. This is a one of a kind that has a darker classic rock gain sound as well as fat clean tones. It works perfectly fine but every 6 moths to 1 year you need to spray the reverb inputs with contact cleaner because the reverb sound will start to crackle just a little bit. That takes care of it immediately though. Overall it’s a pretty awesome and unique amp. Here’s the amp specs, also I attached a sheet with some info about the amp builder in the photo section. 2 CH (push/pull master knob). Fender style reverb. 1×12 35 watt all tube combo with Jensen Speaker. 5 -12ax7 pre amp tubes. 2 – EL 34′s. 1 – 5AR4 Rectifier tube. This is an awesome little Silvertone model 1430 guitar amp! I believe it is from the early’50s, before Sears put the rubber/plastic handle and changed the nameplate. This thing is so cool! Perfect for intimate shows or studio recording for that real vintage sound! It powers right on and plays well; however there is a light hum in it. Likely an easy fix by a technician. Small tear on the top right front corner. 14″ tall, 13″ across, and 7-1/4 deep. The speaker in it is 6 in diameter.
