Vintage Tube Amp

Filmosound open back 179 vintage style project. Empty unfinished open back pine head. Cabinet is 16” wide x 9” tall x 7-1/8. Chassis is not included. As a condition of this sale. The front control is removable. These are sample photos similar to the cabinet you will recieve. Please let me know how you will be finishing this cabinet so I can make the proper space allowances for vynal covering, piping and grill fabric, or a natural finish and so forth. Please note : This cabinet will need further sanding and prep work prior to a natural finish. The vintage tube amp you see in the photos is not included. Is made of 1/2” birch plywood and the control. Opening is 8-1/4″ wide x 1-3/4” and sets back 5/16″. I take a lot of pride in every cabinet I build as you will see when you receive the cabinet. I do not stock any cabinets and I make them as the order comes in. I have fabricated thousands of cabinet and sell them all over the world. I do not have all the big overhead that these big companys have, thus I pass the savings on to you. All the cabinets I build are fabricated in my shop, one at a time, out of 3/4 pine that I select and assembled using strong beautiful halfblind dovetail glued joinery. On this cabinet, the front panel is made of 1/2 baltic birch. I then router the exterior corners so you can easily install standard corner protectors if you so choice. The fine item you are considering is a Vintage 1970′s Fender Bassman 50 Tube Guitar Bass Amplifier Amp & 2 x15 Speaker Cabinet. This cool vintage silver face Fender Bassman 50 amp head and speaker cabinet combo is in typical used condition, with the amp powering up and sounding great. There are some expected issues, such as the amp clicking and popping for a few minutes once it has been turned on, but eventually it calms down and runs pretty silently. The switches and pots are scratchy from age, and really the amp has been unused in very long storage so it should be gone through by an amp tech, thoroughly internally cleaned and like with most old amps, re-caped, but as I said, it is functional as it is. Just expect it to be in “unrestored” condition and having the various issues an amp from the’70′s that has been in long storage might have. Cosmetically, the map makes a nie overall impression, but the lower right corner of the speaker grille is bending out a bit. Some fresh Velcro would hold this down, as pressure from my finger sets it back into the correct position. Also, there are metal arms that come out of the head designed to attach it to the speaker cabinet, but I do not have the screws that bolt the head to the cabinet. The 2 x 15 cabinet sounds great and has removable wheels on the bottom. Please see my photos to have a look at this nice item.

This is a 100% original (tubes are vintage, possibly original), clean and working Vintage 1964 St. GEORGE GUITAR STACK/HEAD AND CABINET (MODEL MASSIE 1263, TUBE AMPIFIER) made in USA by St. This is a very rare and awesome amp, an original Ray Cassie designed amplifier with a very classic and warm vintage fender type sound (Cassie once worked for fender so very understandable). This is in great condition, no heavy rip in screen, screens are very full. This has been well taken care of for DECADES (60 YEARS OLD). For sale is a bogen rf-35 all tube receiver… Nice condition with it’s original hardwood cabinet. All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. It has been’scoped and works as it should. It has had the output transformers replaced with oversized appropriate units. It has 2 x 6v6gt tubes per channel. They are 4 different versions of the 6v6gt tube but work fine. Puts out about 18 watts per channel. I have been repairing and building tube guitar amp, hi-fi and recording gear for over 40 years. Pulled this from a 1960′s WURLITZER Model 420 Spectra-Tone Cabinet – like a Leslie with rotating speakers. Has 2 RCA 6550 Power Audio Tubes (one is bad, as shown).

1948 Rare Hammond HR40 Tone Cabinet Tube Amp Vintage Mono Audiophile 8-6V6 Tubes. This unit is very clean yet untested. I will include a set of the schematics for your reference. This amp is very rare as it is the original over built design and contains a separate Bass amp and Treble amp connected by the most sought after original pigtail. I have heard these amps before and they are mind blowing. They certainly can’t afford to make them like this anymore.
